It takes a lot of ENERGY to pull something like this off...and a lot of nerve to think nobody'd notice....

.........but when you've got the media in your bag, you take chances...so far, so good for the Democrats, huh?
TELL ME we've not sunken to anything this full of corruption and that, since it's known, somebody's going to look into it.  Please, tell me that!?

The Tonopah Solar Company in Democrat Harry Reid's Nevada is getting a $737 million loan from Obama's Department of Energy.
The project will produce a 110 megawatt power system and employ 45 permanent workers, costing us $16 million per job annually.
One of the investment partners in this endeavor is Pacific Corporate Group. The PCG Executive Director is .........Ron Pelosi, the brother of Nancy's husband. He is the uncle of California's Lt. Governor, Democrat Gavin Newsom.

And this is known, so what's happening because of it?

And if Republicans were pulling this crap, WHAT would happen? :-) What, six inch headlines in the NY Slimes?  Ya, I thought so, too.
(thanks, Ellen).
And please check out the post below........people need to know it. ...it truly is unbelievable.

The much-touted environmentalism as the road to serfdom.

Unfortunately, the precedent was set for this long ago. It's a bipartisan hog trough.

It's us against them, and they have the taxing and spending power.

As is typical, outsiders are not aware of all the facts in play here in Nevada. One of my friends who describes himself as a little to the right of Reagan says this is a good project. He also says Snopes is pretty accurate in their understanding of the Tonopah effort.

This reminds me of when people from outside Nevada thought they knew who would be a better Senator for our state.

DM: Goood for your state...just absolutely horrible for the other 49 (or 56, as the case may be), and that's OK with Nevadans?

Nice folks.

My complaint is the larger fact that the federal government confiscates everybody's money, throws in a pile they call "government money" or "taxpayer money" and then doles it back out depending on who gives more political contributions or who kisses up to the powerful politicians.

Also, this "spreadin' it around" masks market inefficiencies.

Slim down the federal government, let states and people keep more of their own money, and have states pay for their own damned projects.

This is a huge political game, we are being scammed. They are bribing us with our own money.

I guess what's lost on some is the cronyism involved...
and how the media would treat this were it Republicans, as I said in the post.

$16 million per job's a little hard to swallow, too, no?

Once again the media is "moot" on things like this

Unlike with the fabricated anger over Valerie Plame and Data Mining of overseas calls.

What is concerning is the growth of government especially with the health care bill and it gets politicized where only elites and politicians can have access to top notch care. like when Chavez and Castro had a specialist flown in from Spain to get premium care or when the PM of Canada came here for heart surgery.
It's always going to be "them" an "us" and the abuse of a system that was put in place for the tax payer who instead get stuck with the short end of the stick and the bill to pay for the politicians favors and the illegals who sneak over here.

The worst thing about this is we can scream and shake our fists, ect., but the left doesn't CARE because they know they will never, ever be held to account.

That is why they are so blatant.

Good point Brooke.

And yet again, our hard-earned taxpayer dollars do not fall very far from the political tree. Friggin' THIEFS!! Every time I see the name Piglosi or Reid, I just get this uncontrollable urge to go and

PUKE!

Suddenly, leftists think that the rest of America should stay out of their state’s politics. This is actually a good idea because states are sovereign and should only by exception obligate themselves to federal largesse. The reality is just the opposite, however. States have become de facto whores for federal money … and all of us suffer when we have no control over such things as appointing self-serving communist nitwits as Senate Majority Leader. It is hard to imagine that anyone with an ounce of brains can think $16 million annually per job is beneficial to America.

Overall, it is amazing how the communist left complains about “the filthy rich,” but when you take a good look at whom these filthy rich people are, we find the list includes Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. Even more interesting is the number of those people who only became filthy rich since becoming members of congress.

How many times do we have to be ENRAGED by Washington DC elites before we throw these corrupt politicians out of office and into prison?

Z, This is no where Near as bad as when Richard Nixon had his operatives bug the democratic national convention hotel room to find out what they had planned for some inconsequential and massively boring campaign strategy. Right?

.. right?

Yeah, I guess you forget about all the tarp loans Bush gave without requiring payback. I guess you forgot about Halliburton making billions off the deaths of American troops.

You're a shameless screecher.

FairWitness said...

Corrupt to the core. Argh!

Apparently, Liberalmann isn’t all that bright. Ms. Z's point was that when Bush and company did such things, the media were all over it; as they should be now. But we don’t hear very much about it under a communist dictatorship, and amazingly, that's okay with the left.

If anyone is shameless, it is the filth called the progressive left.

Mustang

The media and educational system are beholden to a far left view point. I am starting to wonder just how much if any of this energy policy obstructionism is being funded by Opec and Chavez.

In NYC it seems the opponents of domestic production are very well funded and very organized.

No Paulites here! Way to go, Deputy Beakerkin! We can't have voters expressing their own opinions, can we?

Keep up the good work!

Sorry Mustang, you're the dim bulb. That is NOT what she said. What she said was what I quoted.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least, the sliminess and bastardry of the left simply knows no bounds. I suppose we should be surprised, these are people who have no qualms about that gosnell ratbag killing off babies just delivered.
