Gary Sinise is the real deal. One of my former homeschool families works closely with him and his efforts to honor our troops.

What a remarkable story!

God Bless Sinise for telling it. As AOW said, Sinise is the real deal!

How wonderful. My dear, late father-in-law worked for Firestone in Akron. Although, during WWII he was a Marine stationed in the Marshall Islands.

This story illustrates perfectly that when our nation goes to war, we all have a role to play.

And to Democrats -

YOUR ROLE ISN'T TO DEMAGOGUE POLITICAL OPPONENTS.

Yes, Gary Sinise is a standup man. A rarity in Hollywood

Fantastic story. Fantastic people. Too bad we don't have as many people like that today and the numbers are dwindling.

Kid, Gary started a group I'm involved with......stay tuned; you should hear from them soon :-)
SF..not SO rare in Hollywood as most people think. (trust me on that!)

Nice.

Well, I'll tell you, many of us have a negative attitude of Hollywood today because So Many stars of Yesterday were stars of WWII. Jimmy Steward a bomber pilot. Flew last mission as an observer in Vietnam war. Lee Marvin. SO many. Audey Murphy actually the 2nd most decorated soldier from WWI but commonly known as the most decorated.
So many.

Today a few like Gary Sinise and the vast majority of Hollywood not only never serving but negative beside. It's not helpful.

Sinise - I can't say enough for the man as an actor but that is far outweighed by what he does for the troops and veterans of the country.

Quite a contrast to Hollywood whining wienies like Redford, Penn, Clooney and Moore.

Oh, I get it...nobody has to remind me of how leftwing and hurtful to America most of Hollywood is.
But, there ARE people in that industry who aren't leftists and, though they can't really come out because they won't get work (TRUST ME), they're there.

I was at one Sinise meeting where Jon Voigt was heading the meeting (AMAZING guy)...Bill Whittle was there, Michael Reagan, and others...and there were young HOllywood actors, actresses, etc., and Voigt asked them to tell their story of being conservative in Hollywood and I'll never forget one young woman saying "first, let me tell you I am so nervous that reporters are going to come through that door with cameras...!"
it was heart wrenching because the Left feels their opinions are wrong. (Yes, the big, open minded liberal)

Z - I know what you are talking about. A couple I knew of were Richard Keil - the villain 'Jaws' in several 007 movies and the late John Quade - villain in lots of Clint Eastwood films were both conservative Christians.

Unfortunately, many of the producers & directors e.g. the "big money" behind the films are the super-libs. Isn't it interesting just how many "one percenters" in this country are turning out to be lefties? Hopefully, one day guys like Sinise and Voigt can lead a takeover of the production end of Hollywood.

Alligator, all they're hoping for now is a big enough group to emerge where their members can come out of the left-wing imposed closet and finally find work with like-minded individuals.
It's good to know you know two!
