Have Communists won America after all?

We hope you'll want to answer our questions at the end of the post!

Geeez has noted a few heated and interesting discussions recently, mostly between those who disparage the notion that America is moving toward Marxist ideology and those who believe that such a movement is underway —and has been for a while now. At the outset, we do believe we are moving toward Marxist ideology and it concerns us. What concerns us more than this is the lack of anxiety among most Americans that we are heading in this decidedly un-American direction.

Let us begin with a generic definition of communism. It is an ideology centered around the concept of socialism: creating a classless, moneyless, and stateless social order structured on the idea of common ownership of the means of production. The road to communism creates “social order” throughout its various stages of progress. Communist ideology intends totalitarian control from central authority, and distribution of its collective wealth: from each according to his ability, to each according to his need. Socialism per se is a transitional stage to a Marxist state.

In our view, history does not treat communism too kindly. There are more than a few variants of communism: under Marxist communism, Leninist, Stalinist, Trotskyism, Maoist, Titoism, Euro-communism, Libertarian Marxism, Left Communism, and Situationism. All of these are constructs that make communism acceptable to various cultures. Other variants include black liberation theology, Christian communism, and anarchist Marxism. Under all of these examples, central authority recognizes no limits to its authority. We call this totalitarianism.

We do not wish to engage in name-calling. We do not refer to individuals as communists simply because we disagree with them; we refer to people as communists because that is what they are. It may not be politically correct or even kind to associate persons with the barbarity of communism, but when we observe a particular behavior and are able to associate that behavior with communist ideology, then the individual behaving in that unmistakable way is a communist.

What is communist behavior? Nations that embrace communist ideology share these common denominators: government seizure of private property; government action to redistribute private wealth; government discredits all opposition; government or cooperative censorship; restriction of human rights and constitutional guarantees; the establishment of a national constabulary.

In addition, persons who pursue communist ideology (indeed, any related fascist regimen) elevate their national party head to god-like status (think Greek columns). The national leader can do no wrong; the national leader knows better what is good for us than we do ourselves. Anyone who disagrees with the national leader is wrong, disloyal, and warrants social ostracism —as if unclean or leprous.

Communist behavior includes the supposition that the average Joe is incapable of deciding things for himself; he must have a proactive government to prevent him from making grievous errors. Likewise, only a village can raise a child. Everyone has the right to succeed. Mothers have the right to murder their unborn children. Society has an obligation to purchase and distribute, at the taxpayer’s expense, contraceptives, and sex toys. No one has the right to express their belief in God because there is no room for God in a secular society. There are no inalienable rights: all human rights come from other humans. And there is one additional concept popular among communists: never let a good crisis go to waste.

Does any of this ring a bell? We believe the evidence is overwhelming that the United States of America is moving ever steadily toward a Marxist state. We believe that while both political parties contribute to this march to self-destruction, one has shown a particular affinity for communist ideology.

Has the United States seized (or nationalized) private property? By order of President George W. Bush, Republican, the United States government seized several privately held industries and financial institutions. They were infused with a trillion dollars of taxpayer money, and in three years there has been no substantial “stimulus” to the American economy.

There are several ways of taking someone’s property and giving it to someone else. The easiest and most unnoticeable way of doing this is through tax law and policy. Here is probably a good opportunity to mention the Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act, popularly known as Obama Care, which is a fraud perpetrated against the American people of epic proportions.

Governments moving toward a Marxist state seek to diminish individual rights and human liberty, even to the extent of making American citizens and states subordinate to the will of United Nations mandates, and by imposing upon the general population such indignities as pat-downs at airports, even among young children and the elderly. A Marxist government will publish findings that accuse Christians, gun owners, and returning war veterans as particularly worrisome to national security, while ignoring totally the people who actually do pose this danger.

Marxist governments always seek to establish a national constabulary. In 2007, Barack Obama made the following statement: “We cannot continue to rely upon our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.” While the meaning of this statement is clear enough, we have yet to see any evidence of the creation of a civilian constabulary, but it remains hard to imagine that any president would even think of creating a civilian agency intending to compete with a robust armed force.

In a nation moving toward Marxism, look for the government to impose censorship of information vital to a free society. It is impossible to say with any degree of certainty that the Obama administration is censoring information beyond that which is normally required to safeguard national security. On the other hand, we may argue that the American press has imposed censorship; it has become Obama’s handmaiden. Rarely do we find President Obama criticized in the national press, but we often find the press is actually covering for him. It is a treatment denied to Obama’s predecessors, including Bill Clinton.

Related to state and cooperative censorship, a society in pursuit of communist ideology always seeks to discredit its political opponent; it often accomplishes this by employing unsophisticated epithets and Ad hominem attacks, including Ad hominem tu quoque argumentation.

Corporatism is probably the more relevant descriptor, but we're still talking about an undesireable outcome.

Perhaps as Americans we have a hubristic sense that we can make communism work where inferior, sub-American cultures have failed to do so.

But really, let's stop playing around. We're heading for disaster because the most lazy, freeloading, useless and mendicant subset of humanity ever conceived, the American Baby Boomer generation, is getting balked at by the generations they want to pass their $16 Trillion national debt to.

4 Given the oath taken by all military personnel, politicians, mid-high level bureaucrats, to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, why do so many of these people appear nonchalant about the transformation taking place within our beloved America?

The other day here in Missouri an anti-government blogger was shot and nearly killed by a gang calling itself the Crawford County Sheriff's Department, a conflict which arose from the man's avante garde internet-posted description of how a certain judge should be removed from office.

Simply put, it's shotgun vs. Hellfire missile. We couldn't overthrow this government even if it wasn't paying us to sit on our asses.

5. Is there anything we can do, as citizens, to prevent the adoption of communism within our culturally unique form of government?

Yes, but prudence demands I not post practical information on how a squad of 15 men could paralyze a major metropolitan city anywhere in America with improvised weaponry easily assembled from stock merchandise at Wal-Mart.

A third of families headed by single mothers are in poverty, and they are four times more likely than married-couple families to be poor. Today, more than 40% of births in this country is outside of marriage. Then the NEA gets hold of the little crumb crunchers and the indoctrination is complete. It all started out sounding so compassionate back in the days of the "Great Society" I imagine. Yet it has brought us to the brink of collapse, as we sit in the rapidly heating pot of water like the clueless frog.

It's an unholy alliance between the atheist secular true believers of this twisted ideology and those who are so misguided as to think it's "Christian" to support big govt "social justice" programs instead of personal responsibility to love your neighbor through direct charitable contributions.
As for #5, I'm just waiting for the "let's roll!" queue.

I do think that there has been a subtle shift from the rugged individualism [to coin the phrase] to a dependance on the State. This has occurred due to measures by both major parties, as was pointed out, and has occurred due to the ever increasing paradigm of regulation and licensing that any budding entrepanuer is forced to negotiate.

But the shift has been far more toward crony captialism than the traditional defintions of Communism and/or Marxism, which is why I don't find it instructive to use those terms loosely.

So many people have allowed this to happen because each party has done an admirable job in convincing it's base that they're truly fighting for their people. The left is somewhat of a lost cause in this respect, but I can't sit by and acquiece to the GOP convincing their base that they are taking a stand against this paradigm shift...all the while aiding and abetting it.

The other reason this is occurring is that there are so many comepting meme's and half truths in the political sphere, most people simply latch on the set espoused by their party, and view the other party as 'anti-American'.

What's All This Cock 'n Bull About?
The Obamboozler has gone through our allies like he's went through the treasury. He has not only bankrupted us financially, militarily, and diplomatically, in under 4 years, and some of you FOOLS want to give him 4 more years?. If you haven't learned that Obama doesn't know diddly-squat about foreign policy or what he is doing or saying by now, then I think there is No Hope for you at all.
Both the Obamboozler and Hillary Clinton are in way over their heads, and they have definitely showed it on this crises. .

And as for Mitt Romney's statement over this, I guess I'm confused about the Progressives take on this. Romney is running for the President of the United States and therefor he SHOULD be commenting on something like the situation in the Middle East, and his opponents way of dealing with it... . So, why is there a problem? The timing? Bull-shit, this is hard ball my friends, there is no dancing around this.

I did a bit of research on this and found that the main stream media including ABC, CBS, NBC spent more than 9 minutes on Wednesday night Bull-Shitting about Mitt Romney's statement about it. But in contrast they spent just 25 seconds criticizing Obama and the administration's handling of the crisis.

Pardon me but who is the one that fumbled the ball here? And we suppose to feel outraged over Romney's statement? Sorry, but I'm not feeling the outrage at all.

Romney's statement was right on target, and I guess because it was was devastating to Obama is the real reason why it pissed off the media and the Progressives as well... They just can't handle the truth.. And on another note, It wasn't Romney who ran off to fund-raisers right afterwords, was it, and where is Obama today.. at two fund-raisers in New York followed by an appearance on the David Letterman show.
All this and he Didn't Have Time To Meet With Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today? Humm, seems peculiar to me.

I don’t feel like answering these questions. I didn’t come here for an examination. I will only say this: for years, the American people have given up the lives of their children to preserve the right of human beings to remain free from despotism —the kind of tyranny that exists in communism, National Socialism, and American progressivism. Now suddenly, at least a third of this country rally around concepts clearly communist in origin, but choose to call it the Democratic platform. I don’t understand how any thinking, rational person can accept this shift, nor do I think we should call any such person an American.

1) Yes, incrementally ( think "frog boling").

2) Marxism still has a negative connotation so euphemisms such as "corporatism" are applied.

3) Karl Marx was right. “Democracy is the road to socialism” – in a nation hell-bent upon voting itself gifts from the public trough. Once an electorate is hooked on government solutions to personal self-induced problems, like a junkie on crack, the democratic process once used to guarantee individual freedom is perverted into a tool used to extinguish individual freedom. Democrats call it a greater good. The rest of the world calls it socialism.

4) I'm afraid that not enough people are familiar with or understand the Constitution which, in the case of politicians, may just become an obstacle to their self-serving agendas.

5) As long as there is a preponderance of those who will elect and support the likes of our Marxist-in-Chief it will be very difficult to accomplish this in a civil manner. Thankfully those, with some exceptions, on this and other blog sites give hope that all is not lost yet. Should enough people 'wake up' I pray that we will not have drifted into the Marxist abyss beyond the-point-of- no return!

Commubism on a large scale jas not, can not, and will not work. It goes against human nature. It has always been tried by forcing on people by powerful and brutal governments. Communism has worked more or les on very small scales where a group of people decide for themselves to live in collective communes. They generally have had a religious orientation.

As for the question of is America on the path of beconing a communist/socialist state, I agree with beamish. There was a time when TPTB believed communuism was what they wanted because it would give them the greastest amount of power and wealth. Over time, they learned of the inherent weaknesses off communism; especially in its ability to generate wealth for them. TPTB now perceive a differnt appraoch is what they need. They now are planning a hybrid of communism and capitalism where mega-corporations, oligopolies, will be partnered with a socialist government. That is the definition of fascism. The acedemic elites still believe that Marxist socialism is where we are heading and they actively support it. The media elite believve the same, as well as, numerous politicians. At the appropriate time, these people too will be thrown under the bus by TPTB.

I once asked Bill Bennett on air as to why he wouldn't refer to Obama as a socialist and he replied that "socialist" doesn't carry the stigma it once did and in some corners is seen as a benefit.

Yes. Listen to what the Administration says, and language in which they say it. "Income redistribution", "social justice", "environmental justice". It is all contrived terms to mealy-mouth what is really happening.

As a point of interest, I believe that communism, fascism, and Nazi-ism are derivatives of socialism. Socialism was around before the others, and was the well-spring of demented social ideas.

You did get it right, though. They are all peas from the same rotten pod.

I do understand this sentiment; it is difficult to exhibit pride in one’s country when all we are able to produce as leaders, or potential leaders, are the likes of Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, Bush I and Bush II, Clinton, and Obama. No one can argue that any of these men improved our nation, other than to the extent that it helped salve their tender egos. Not even Bill Clinton is willing to take responsibility for his incompetence, which led to extreme consequences for thousands of Americans.

And of course, why should any American feel good about a nation who the left reminds us is not extraordinary, filled to overflowing with venture capitalists, and politicians who would sell their daughters for just a little more power, just a little extra cash. Isn’t it part of the communist methodology to make Americans feel as if they are gutter scum, like everyone else in the world? So why should THEY get to have a superior form of government?

The question remains. Why adopt an ideology with such an abysmal record of failure, over our own system that, not without some disappointments, is light years superior to Marxism?

Perhaps our problems originate with this: the American people, dismally educated, do not understand that the American people are bound together by a covenant: our Constitution. They seem not to realize that since we elect individuals to represent our interests in government, we must take care to ensure that those representatives share OUR ideas, OUR concerns, and the direction that WE wish to see our country go. As Clint Eastwood said, these “representatives” work for US. If we do a poor job selecting these representatives, then we can only expect a less than satisfactory result. If we ignore their incompetence, we do so at our own peril.

Moreover, if someone works to defeat the Constitution (our covenant), then they work to undermine that thing which binds us together. They seek to destroy that which we have built.

That so few people appear concerned is deeply disturbing to me.

We should thus wonder why the American left attacks so vehemently, the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Ruth Bader Ginsberg is no friend of our Constitution, and neither are the other two lesbians in the Supreme Court. If public opinion can be guided by the left, they have won. If the left can convince the American people that socialism is the natural progression of an enlightened society, the left has won.

Is this what we want? Is this what we will accept? More government, less liberty?

1. Yes, I do think this is true. Democrats learned through Wilson that the way to achieve power, and keep it, is to divide Americans into various categories and then set those various classes of people against one another. It was an sinister plan, but it has worked. Create Jim Crow Laws that assigns blacks as second-class citizens, and then tell these people that conservatives are their enemy. Promise the poor something in exchange for their support, deliver it at the expense of others, and tell these disenfranchised people how much Democrats care for them. More government, as suggested, means less liberty. This is okay for those in power, among the poor and not too bright easily led down the yellow brick road. Disguise the crusade as “progressivism,” which in modern terms, is just another way of saying Marxism.
2. Stalin was fond of calling enablers “useful idiots”. Today’s Americans have been told to suppress their opinions, to avoid hurting anyone’s feelings—even when you are speaking the truth, or offering a considered opinion. The other day, someone called Sam a bigot for daring to have an opinion, and the audacity of expressing it. This has been gong on for a long while now, this political correctness designed to shut us up. And so many Americans are loathe to call Marxist behavior what it is because they’ve been brainwashed by … communists. Corporatism is simply another way of dividing people up into various groups. The effect of setting citizens upon one another seems to be a favorite stratagem among the heathen communists.
3. Americans are a lethargic lot. Truth be known, the average citizen was never too bright, which caused Hamilton to wonder: if a person isn’t bright enough to own property, is he bright enough to vote? Look around. People are either self-absorbed, or they have mind-melded with their electronic toys. People cannot even drive to the store without texting en route. So these non thinking morons accept whatever they are told to accept by the idiots in government, you know … “You can find out what is in the bill after we have passed it.” Everyone turned over and went back to sleep. Makes you wonder, doesn’t it? Why weren’t tens of millions of people crowding into the Nation’s Capital demanding the resignation of Nancy Pelosi from congress?
4. I think you are asking why some people, including senior officials and military leaders, take an oath to support and defend, but then as soon as no one is looking, they set aside their oath to pursue selfish interests. I can’t explain this … other than to suggest that not every official is a good American. I can point to a few high ranking military officers who I think should be in prison, along with the likes of Albrecht, Clinton, Bush, and Obama.
5. Citizens can think about the issues before they vote on them. Citizens can think carefully about political candidates before deciding to vote for them. Citizens who love America can begin standing up for America again. Don’t let these communist POS force you to sit down and shut up. Stand up and push back. Don’t hesitate to tell your representatives in Washington that you refuse to vote for anyone who is a Marxist, not matter how mild their brand of communism.

Since my coming to the US, my biggest surprise at the American people, was that most of them are totally unable to understand political ideas and situate themselves on the political scale.

For example, a former teacher and self-proclaimed liberal and Obama voter, told me one day he didn't believe in redistribution of wealth.

I find people very confused sometimes. They don't take the time to think about their own beliefs and be introspective about them.

The naive and optimistic nature of Americans also has a downside in regard to that. People will let the left make a lot of damage before they realize what it does.

Fish, in his review of D'Souza's 2016, said that the problem with that movie is that D'Souza assumes that notions of what things are "American" are driven by an unwarranted bias.
Fish says that if Obama is an "American" citizen, then any ideal he proposes is an American ideal.
I posit that an "American" ideal must be supportive of the Constitution.

I’m not sure I agree, Frogburger; multiparty systems often demand coalition governments, which do not always offer coherent policies. Multiparty systems usually evolve into two classifications: major parties, and minor parties. Do we really want a five party system where one dominates all national politics?

When you're in France, you have a choice between Communists, Socialists (Hollande), Left radicals, Centrist (Bayrou), Center right (Sarkozy), Libertarians (super super super small, Madelin) and the National Front (Le Pen).

It makes you think. You get to hear different points of view whereas the two parties, when they communicate officially via conventions, have to stick to their message.

So if you do not question things, you can't think about ideas in depth.

Ah, yes I see your point. I guess I have limited confidence in the average American voter. If our citizens are incapable of giving their attention to two party politics, if they so willingly give up American federalism to communist utopianism, it is hard to imagine they will fare well under a five party system.

4. This has occurred because liberal politicians believe that our constitution is archaic and should be changed to accommodate their agenda and to revoke the freedom of the people. That they know what's better for us than we do. Which is a huge falsehood. Our founders knew exactly what they were doing when they painstakingly wrote the constitution to Protect the People.

5. Yes, it's time to vote anyone who supports communism, socialism and Marxism. We need leaders to follow our constitution and not stray from it.

Before the incident that killed Officer Brian Terry, Obama went to Mexico and informed their parliament that the USA bears responsibility for drug violence since most of the guns used by the cartel came from guns shops on our side of the border. We now know that this was total bullshit; the drug cartel was getting guns and munitions from the US ATF, operation “fast and furious.”

Around this time, Senator Kay Bailey-Hutchinson claimed to support providing modern weapons to the Mexican Army so that they at least had firepower parity with the drug cartel. With that in mind, check out this video where one fellow states that the cartel get’s 75% of its weapons from the Mexican Army. Is there a pattern here?

My persona plan if they vote in obama again is use as many ways as possible to get money from the federal government, like small business loan. I'm more indian than eliz warren "HOW!" see. and then take forever and a day to pay it back.
