Warnings here in St. Louis, but the storm wall just passed. Basement flooding a little bit, but under control.

beamish, you have that much rain that the basement's flooding in such a short time of rain?
I'm glad the tornado passed...it's AWFUL in OK. Thousands stuck on the Interstates like sitting ducks. I hear OK City dodged the bullet, thank GOD>
Good luck!

I lived in Orlando for a while about 15 years ago and I never knew what a real storm was until one day when the skies were dark like midnight at 11 AM. I couldn't BELIEVE it...a storm hit for a while then went away.
Here I was, an LA girl, watching "STORM WATCH " and "STORM WARNING" ticker tape alone the bottom of whatever I was watching on TV and wondering "which is WORSE?"
I called Mr. Z at the office and asked him to pick me up! Which he did! That was quite a day...but it was kind of all bark and no bite, thank goodness.

Here in Boca...we've been under a watch for 5 days...plus flooding.

Sucks..but my lawn loves it.

@Z:

"the skies were dark like midnight at 11 AM.."

Florida is the lighting capital of the world...so they tell us.

Yeah, this year it seems that God's giving us all the rain He denied us the last 3 years.

beamish, do they do well when the earth's been repeatedly flooded? I hope so.

My family has a small plot on 17 acres that we grow corn on. Last couple of years were abysmal due to drought. This year, we're definitely not going to have that problem.
