Al Qaeda detainees get better medical treatment than our veterans? Does obama know about this yet? Maybe all he needs to do is get the barricades he used on the memorials out of storage and put them around the VA hospitals. I'll bet Joh Kerry and Nancy Pelosi don't have any botox wait lines. On a serious note, this is very, very sad Z, and a microcosm of the kind of treatment that awaits us all.

Ed Bonderenka said...

"Does obama know about this yet?"
Reminds me of the old Marxist line, "If only Stalin knew!"
As if.
There's also: "I'm shocked, shocked to find that gambling is going on in here!".
He's so outraged he's going to have an investigation into how bad his admin is doing.

Sorry folks, but I have NO sympathy for any of the terrorist detainees at the U.S. military prison in Guantanamo Bay, NONE!
Does anyone here know that a few years ago, these “detainees” got so plump from overeating hummus and other crap from the camp’s Islamically correct menu that commanders specially ordered treadmills to help them lose weight.

Then they ordered them again — because they weren’t made by Muslims!

These so called Gitmo “detainees” are some of the most pampered prisoners on the face of the planet. Everyone there gets a Koran, paperback or hardback, along with little hammocks to keep their holy book from touching the ground when not in use.

The Guards are prohibited from handling the books. The Muslim librarian is “the only one that’s allowed to touch the Korans anymore, per detainee request,” the official said. “If I went into the Koran room and started rifling through a Koran, I could be fired.”
But OH NO, noone gets a Bible, because the Bible could “incite” the terrorists.

These “Detainees” even persuaded prison officials to stop raising the American flag anywhere they could see it.
Gitmo is no longer a prison camp; it’s more like a hotel that caters to theses Creeps!

And Our Dear leader barrack Hussein Obama couldn’t care less if it stays open or it's closed. To hell with his campaign promises, he doesn’t keep his word about anything anyway. Obama is so full of $hit, that’s why his eyes are brown. Just like he don’t give a crap about Benghazi, Fast and Furious, or the IRS Scandal either. He’d rather go on making his meaning speeches all over the world like a King. And the liberal media laps it up.

Obammy expresses every scandal as a Republican conspiracy anyway. He never takes responsibility.
It’s painful to wake up everyday knowing that the people of this country that are stupid enough to elect a communist, twice, out number the ones that know better!
All this phoney freak know how to do is:
1. Express outrage.
2. Call for an investigation.
3. Refuses to answer questions due to ongoing investigations.
4. Does not address the issue for months, and then he lies about it..
5. After months of questions from the people he declares it old news and a Republican witch hunt.
6. Labels anyone still curious about it a racist.
No wonder that the country is a total mess

Maybe obammy and his fellow DISGUSTING FILTH aka liberals are just doing the Country a favor and letting Veterans die waiting for Health Care because, you know, we Domestic Terrorist's are such a threat to the Country. Just ask Diana Moon Big Sis, aka; Crappy Nappy, aka; Janet Napolitano.

Typical of this dimocrap run regime.

Z - This is a terrible thought - that the Gitmo detainees are getting better treatment than our vets. I hope it isn't true. I hope that something is done soon to improve the care of our vets.

The Constitutionalist said...

Come on you dishonest people get your facts straight. Mr Obama had nothing to do with this horrible situation, George Bush was in office when this program was initiated.

Impertinent said...

Now I know why I was rejected for my VA medical benefits!

Yes....terrorists are more important to keep healthy so they can be released in the wild to kill and maim more of our future vets so that they too can die or wait endlessly for their care.

Well...that and the $600,000,000 redirected and mis-spent to supply cozy office chairs for the fat asses of mid level and fat cat bureaucrats in the IRS.

Got it....Ain't this a great country?

Z said...

DaBlade and Ed....I don't think Obama reads the same news we do, so he might not have heard about it yet :-)
Yes, VERY sad.
And his investigators are usually the person being investigated. And our media says nothing :-)

Georgie...NOBODY has sympathy for terrorist detainees. And they're pushing us around and we're jumping through hoops.

American4..that list about sums it up.
I can only add "have Darryl Issa do a hearing and watch how quickly the subject disappears".. THAT REALLY ticks me off.
Thank GOD they've got GOWDY looking into Benghazi and doing those hearings. MAYBE the families will get some satisfaction through FACTS.

Sue, I sure do, too.

Regressive; we "dishonest people" don't care WHO was in charge; we care about getting things FIXED.
We care that Obama has to read things in the newspapers and that he's had five years to CLEAN IT UP.
I'm also waiting for him to have yearly celebrations of the courage of our soldiers, like Bush does. Or visit our soldiers with no cameras there, like Bush does.
Who's 'dishonest?' :-)

Ed..what a REAL scandal, that the Marine in Mexico is still there..
We're so afraid of ticking third world countries off that our people are suffering.
We are definitely the laughing stock of the world now. And we do deserve it now.

Z said...

Imp; right.
Our soldiers are given lip service by this president, the first lady and Jill Biden, SO concerned for our vets. As IF

T Krabby said...

@Sue:

It's not a "terrible thought"...it's a fact. Know the difference, please.

Impertinent said...

" fat cat bureaucrats in the IRS."

Correction....in the VA. I keep confusing the monster agencies that are killing all of us. The IRS has it's own ways that we all know too well. If the IRS would adopt the attitude the VA does towards needy vets and tax payers...we'd all feel much better, wouldn't we?

Z said...

If Obama hadn't put this country on the edge of bankruptcy, perhaps we could get Vets JOBS by hiring them as PATIENT ADVOCATES!..at VA hospitals and otherwise!?

Impertinent said...

@Z:

Moochele? Funny she had an opportunity to do a #HELPOURVETS didn't she?

But we all know what "priorities" trump that, don't we.

Z said...

FINALLY some good news:

CONYERS WILL NOT BE ON THE BALLOT THIS TIME IN MICHIGAN.

He had problems with his nominating petitions...

Michigan; congratulations!

Impertinent said...

@Z:

That was too EZ, wasn't it? A corrupt dinosaur like him giving up that easily?

okjimm said...

This is ALL BS, just like the Benghazi "scandal" it's a manufactured scandal that never did exist in reality.
I think the majority of American people want to stop hearing the bullshit the GOP politicians keep spewing about it.

Impertinent said...

@Ok jerk:

"manufactured scandal that never did exist in reality."

I'd bet all I had that the four dead men wished it never existed in reality either. You silly POS. Crawl back into your sewer.

Georgie Bushie said...

We need the Moocher to hold up a sign saying Help Our Vets who are dying Hashtag!

You know what's sad? It's trues and believable.

Unknown said...

John Conyers OFF the ballot!
It seems like democrats never understood that the petitions aren't supposed to be fake.
Conyers had appealed to the state after Detroit-area election officials said there were problems with some people who collected signatures. The circulation weren't registered to vote or had listed a wrong registration address. Under Michigan law, that can spoil the petitions.
But poor old Johnny Conyers Lost The Appeal To Get On 2014 Ballot

Unknown said...

In this scandal the Left simply can´t allow to be heard. So obvious, yet many Americans will not see this reality. Thanks a lot for your part in trying to spread the word GeeeeeZ.Good job.

And let this be an example of how our government will run a health system for the rest of us.

Z said...

okjimm;
maybe you don't think conservatives being targeted by the IRS is a scandal, and maybe you don't think the NSA spying is a scandal, or that Fast and Furious has disappeared though questions are still unanswered, or that Benghazi's loss of four loyal Americans is a scandal, etc., but Conservatives DO.
Maybe that's the difference of libs and cons? We do care very much about the American constitution.
We just don't admire a president who promises and doesn't come thru, or who drives our debt about 10 trillion over the last president, or who...
man, the list's too long.

SPIDEY, I agree; the left's very happy with a complicit media that's not telling Americans the truth, or any whole stories.
Heck, I watch the Conyers story on FOX, or the VA problem, and switch to CNN and they're spending the morning interviewing a sex captive girl who's sticking up for the one who was just found to have been held here in LA for 10 years. Or the Malaysian plane, or celebs gone wild.
And they wonder why CNN's ratings are now BELOW MSNBC's? WOW.
Thanks for coming by! Hope to see you again.

Imp....for a guy like Conyers to have screwed up the election petition? Ya, probably wanted to bow out but his supporters who've put big money into getting him elected would have been too ticked. This way, he can blame someone on his team and get to quit. Heck, I think he's in his eighties, anyway.
And heck, how much more CAN a person destroy a state?

Ducky's here said...

Yeah, the medical care at Guantanamo is superb. You have a trained staff making sure you take nutrition.

I'm sure the forced feeders are included in Faux's numbers.

The rest are probably the medical staff for the whole military complex.
You really don't know.
Just typically poor reporting designed to get the Tea Party in a snit rather than solve anything.

Not helpful.

Ed Bonderenka said...

@Z: "CONYERS WILL NOT BE ON THE BALLOT THIS TIME IN MICHIGAN."
He'll be a write-in.
And sadly, he will get written in.
Probably by dead people.
50 years of that marxist scumball.
What's important here is to get Dingle's seat wrested away from his trophy wife Debby and elect Terry Bowman.

Z said...

Ducky!! :-)
"making you take nutrition?" because you're on a hunger strike? That's OUR PROBLEM?
Ya, I made this whole thing up to stir up Conservatives :-) ...

As if the liberal lawyers defending these people wouldn't make a HUGE STINK if they didn't have excellent health care? Can you imagine? Think, Ducky.

Ed..UGH. I guess he could be a write-in. I'm thinking he's pooped and wants out, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.
There's no mention of write-in on the news I've read, but you could be write (I mean RIGHT :-))

I don't know anything about the Dingle/Bowman deal.

The Absolute Marxist said...

Maybe we should start water boarding our Vets so as to justify up'ing the staff/patient care ratio's to be more like Gitmo.

The Absolute Marxist said...

...all Obama would have to do to implement the above is to include "waterboarding" in it's "approved procedures" list.

I'm sure it will soon become part of the Obamacare mandates for private insurance coverage.... after all, if it's not covered by "Obamacare", the procedure would HAVE to be labelled "substandard"... by DEFINITION. And we all know how picky this administration is about selecting procedures and medications to be rationed by their death panels...

The Absolute Marxist said...

"Water boarding" sounds pretty essential to me. I'm sure that the boys in CIA and NSA would agree.

Maybe, they can get the Vets signing up and/or qualifying for mental health treatments to reveal where all their guns are stored/hidden...

Z said...

Ed, you did another great job on Bennett's show.
I so hope Bowman is asked to come on; what a coup if that happens.
GOOD JOB!

Bob said...

Using Guantanamo Bay as the location of a foreign terrorist detention facility was a stroke of genius. You do not want to give terrorise the rights of US citizens by bringing them into the US.

Now we don't need Gitmo, why doesn't Obama close it like he promised? Could it be that the Obama administration now agrees with the Bush adnimitration?

Now, we find out that our VA system is rotten, but we should not be surprised. After all, the VA hospital system is the poster child for the inefficiencies of big government programs. They just don't work after a while.

The solution to the VA problems are simple, and easily solved. Kill the VA hospital system. Sell the hospital properties to private health care companies.

There are plenty of private hospitals in the nation that can handle our veterans. All we need to do is give the veterans vouchers for their health care depending on their needs.

The private infrastructure is already there, and all the fired VA health care employees could find employment there. The bureaucrats in the VA could look for jobs just like the rest of us.

Z said...

Bob, where would you send the detainees at Gitmo?
And, I believe you're right; if Obama didn't want it closed, or at least didn't want those detainees (and many think they're kind of 'liberal sacred cows' being denied American justice/which is backed by young Harvard lawyers), why haven't these trials taken place and why is it still open and out of the media suddenly? It had a lot of coverage for a long time....
I believe that's another case of Obama's lies and the media complicity.

If closed, what would you do? WOULD you give these people American trials and then what?

I don't think our hospitals CAN take all vets; that would put a huge stress on most of them, which are pretty full now...and then we'd have to worry about their being treated with Obama care. They deserve better than that, even if most of us don't! :-)

cube said...

It disgusts me to hear something like this.

Ed Bonderenka said...

Z: "I don't think our hospitals CAN take all vets; "
They'd still be hospitals, and they'd still have doctors.
They'd just be administered more efficiently if privatized.
Like Bob said, "Sell the hospital properties to private health care companies."
It's not like they'd be treated with LESS respect.

Don Jose, from Far Rockaway. said...

The real story of Obamacare, however, isn't about how many people signed up for it or not. The real story of Obamacare is about who is dying from it and that is not being reported . Those who have died and will die as the result of this horrendous experiment in socialized medicine. This latest story is not the final chapter. Obamacare will kill far more than this latest Vet’s scandal. The administration can blame it on whoever they wish to, but their lies have lost the ears that care to listen.
Add this VA scandal to the long list of Obama administration’s failures and scandals from the IRS to Benghazi, but it is Obamacare that has already been a monumental failed administration, and I for one can’t wait until we get him the hell out of sight.

From Z: remote;

Ed (and Bob)..I didn't read carefully enough to see Bob's suggestion that we privatize those hospitals. AND, why not? I wasn't thinking.
YES. Private...Tenet Healthcare (which was once the wonderful company National Medical Enterprises, by the way..little plug) or any other med corporation would be great...let them contract to run them OR buy them.

Of course, the Left would be totally deranged thinking somebody but the gov't was making some money, but maybe they'd get over it?
naaaaaaaaaa

From Z:

"Diffusing" I was thinking that today, too.
Where ARE those possibly 40 family/friends whose loved ones might have died? Are they being questioned for details?
Has the media made such a loud kerfuffle with 'BAD CARE and SHOULD SHINSEKI BE FIRED?' that that's overwhelmed the tragic story? Will we ever know?

interesting point

Don Jose, from Far Rockaway. said...

Nancy Pelosi, repeatedly put the blame for the Veterans Affairs scandal on former President George W. Bush, while arguing that her party has worked hard for veterans in recent years.
Pelosi took a shot at Bush while saying that the scandal is a high priority for Obama. "He sees the ramifications of some seeds that were sown a long time ago, when you have two wars over a long period of time and many, many more, millions more veterans," she told reporters during her Thursday press briefing. "And so, I know that he is upset about it."
I don't want to waste time impeaching Obama. First of all, that will never happen and he's already termed out and will no longer be the president when this last term is up. What we need to do is replace all of those who politically support and enable him. Those people will still be around after he's gone and they will continue to do their damage to our nation. Instead of concentrating our efforts on Obama lets concentrate all of our efforts in a complete turnover of every politician in the DC beltway. All of them are complicit in the misbehavior of our president and the leaders of the Senate. All of them then needs to be given the heave ho. It's time the voice of We The People is heard and that We The People make the changes in our government to get it back on the track of serving the people instead of serving the politicians, politicians like Pelosi, Reid, Feinstein, Boxer and the rest.
The only problem is that we will never be able to beat the "Pigressive trash", unless we can find their secret of transporting all those dead people to the polls.

"You can take for granted that people know mkkore or less what a street, a shop, a beach, a sky, an oak tree look like. Tell them what makes this one different."
Neil Gaiman

One of the best quotes on writing I've seen and on the wall here at the school where I'm sub'ing right now.

So many more good ones I can't resist:

"You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture. Just get people to stop reading them." Ray Bradbury.
Z: wait till you see one of my next posts, maybe tomorrow, which was written before I saw this but which fits perfectly with the left's newest stupidity.

"You don't have to be great to get started, but you have to get started to be great." Les Brown.

"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." Aristotle

There are approximately 50 of these all over the perimeters of the room...they are all FABULOUS but here's my favorite by Groucho Marx!!

"Outside a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside a dog, it's too dark to read."

SO GOOD !!

FROM Z OF GEEEZ:

DEFUSING: You know, for the Obama bunch to be blaming Bush again is ridiculous. It's not like we all think the VA JUST turned BAD, right?
But, really, they need to research what Bush finally did for Walter Reed, THEN complain.

The problem the media's doing a great job covering is that Obama was TOLD about the problems...that Shinseki's known a lot of all of this.

I DO think it's hard for a president to keep up on EVERYTHING but the cabinet posts and their underlings are supposed to!
And, we at least expect the president to not condone this kind of ignoring of really important situations.
Miami's VA has got a whistleblower NOW who's saying drugs are being sold on that campus! Legal drugs, I think.."Got any morphine? I'll give you $200"... He was on TV last night and says it's rampant and that he told the administration at that VA hospital TWO YEARS AGO and nothing's been done.
I suppose that's tough to fight, but TRY!

Ed Bonderenka said...

@Defusing: Well said.

Constitutional Insurgent said...

A potential solution to this disparity is for Congress to be able to conduct discretionary reallocation of funds. Federal bureaucracies are stovepiped and insular. They will spend every penny budgeted to them, if for no other reason than to justify next years budget allocation. If Congress could identify a problem....such as the VA scandal...as well as preeminent medical treatment of detainees...and shift funds and resources mid-budget cycle...it could go a long way towards mitigating theses issues before they fester on for a decade or more.

Anonymous said...

FROM Z of GEEEZ:

CI...by "discrepancy" do you mean between our VA patients and the Gitmo detainee monies spent?
I think that, since there are only about 100 detainees, it's clear why they might get better service, but metaphorical and important that we take notice of this.
What I mean is, you don't mean taking the money from Gitmo and putting it on our VA hospitals would make a difference, right?
Am I misunderstanding your comment?

Constitutional Insurgent said...

Z - Essentially, yes. A good starting point would be to determine the line item in the GITMO budget that covers medical care, and ensure that it is scaled to present and anticipated number of patients [and that number is not likely to flex much these days]......then be able to shift finds in excess of basic primary care from that budget, to venues that are assessed as deficient, such as the VA.

Now in this specific case, it's not going to be a game changer....but it could be a tool used across bureaucracies, that can provide an expedient solution where funds are concerned.

The downside, is that given a political tenor of a sitting Congress, this would still be a political football.

Who deserves health care more? Disabled, needful vets...or illegals? Stop serving illegals...then there's plenty of incentive to take vouchers for Vets. They'll get paid for the care they give...the illegal POS don't pay. They suck the system dry to the bone. How many closed hospitals would still be functioning and open if they took in Vets? Rather then go bankrupt for illegals and for a country that won't reimburse these care centers and hospitals for the illegal crap they get stiffed on?

It could be that 'the government' has kicked the can down the road so far, that there is no 'solution'. Flying by the seat of their pants, stealing money faster than humanly possible.

CI, Honestly, if you look at the production of material America produced in just the first couple years of WWII, (3000 Liberty ships as just one example) and realize we have our people riding around in unarmored hummers while the vast majority of casualties come via IED and roadside bombs, it's unreal. It's even more shocking than this story or frankly any other I can think of.

This is a broken country. A house of cards that could easily come down with the clowns operating at all levels of management of government. I think there are many good people in subordinate positions but will not be able to stop the implosion.

Yep. As the saying goes: the Combat Arms are at war.....America is at the mall.

We entered one war unprepared, and in some ways I can grant some benefit of the doubt. But we asked nothing of our population...in fact, we exhorted them to shop and continue with their daily lives. We then entered another war unprepared, and continued the first under an asinine strategy, and woefully under-resourced.
