I read it completely. Also would recommend Randy Pausch's "The Last Lecture" and Mitch Albom's "Tuesdays With Morrie." Being human, we don't realize what we have, how good things are, until we are personally challenged on any number of levels. I've been agonizing over this for years. I myself had cancer and it changed much of everything. Now, I get checked like a thief for recurring malignant melanoma. But you come to have a more intimate appreciation for each and every day you happen to stand vertically.

I am still praying for your strength and grace. If only we could carry more of your burden--but only you can do that.
I know it's so much harder, without Mr. Z by your side, but you will make it, love.
You are strong, just as Mr. Z was, and you will be even stronger, having gone through this time of loss and sorrow.

I was praying for you in church today. The reading was about the blind man asking for God's help. Jesus cured him because of his faith. Our faith is what shields us and gives us hope. Keep your faith and God will bless you.
