THANK YOU

I'm not quite ready to visit your blogs as I've always enjoyed doing; Thank you so much for supporting mine until I'm feeling up to that. I guess keeping close to 'home' here's what's feeling good for now. Blogging these last couple weeks has been such a diversion and catharsis for me.
THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart..........thanks for your kindness, your loyalty, your patience.

Additionally, I just went to our internist who said "You were married almost twenty years? You know....I don't know how'll you take this, but I thought you two were still in the first years of a new marriage."

I took it very well. I wish the same for all of you, and so would Mr. Z

My parents just celebrated their 50th anniversary and get told the same thing (newlyweds). It is one of the unexpected but always hoped for ideals most aspire towards....to be able to share a life with the Love of your Life. You are blessed and a Blessing to others.

Take your time, Z, everyone understands and it's going to take LOTS of time. Nobody gets over the loss of a mate quickly and you were especially blessed in yours and utterly unprepared for his death.

Awww...Z, God bless your precious, tender heart. We don't mind if you don't visit. We just want to make sure you are okay.

Z - It will take time, of course, for you to adjust to life without Mr Z, but you will go on with your life. You have so much wonderful support and love from your friends.

Dearest Z..we just want to make sure you are okay, because your life has been torn asunder.

We understand, and we'll be here for you--you do things on your own terms, and what feels best for you.

Don't forget how much you are loved and respected.

Sending you a bisou.

It's not easy for sure. My grandpa swallowed too many sleeping pills on Monday and he's now in trouble. He hasn't been able to handle my grandma's death since 2007 even though he's got his kids around him.

So feel free to send me an email if you want to hang out, have coffe, etc...

Greywolfe's sentiments and we certainly understand what you are going through. We miss you and our hearts and prayers are with you.

Twenty years with a soul mate must be a wonderful thing. It took me forty years to find mine. I hope I am as lucky to have twenty years with her.

Dear Z,

A dear friend once sent this poem to me in a time of need and sorrow. I hope it may help comfort you now as it once did me. True love never dies, and is never sad, but few ever find it. I'm happy you did.

I am only a phone call away, if you ever feel the need to talk.

~ FreeThinke

Remember

Remember me
...... when I am gone away,
Gone far away
...... into the silent land;
When you can no more
...... hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go
...... yet turning stay.
Remember me
...... when no more day by day
You tell me of our future
...... that you plann'd:
Only remember me;
...... you understand
It will be late
...... to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me
...... for a while
And afterwards remember,
...... do not grieve:
For if the darkness
...... and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts
...... that once I had,
Better by far
...... you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember
...... and be sad.

~ Christina Rossetti (1830-1894)

Just a thought, z. Make sure you get out and about. Take your time but don't let blogging be a crutch.

Z, time is a healer, although not a perfect healer. Just take your time, and remember the first rule of blogging should be to do so when you really want to.

Continued blessings sent your way.

That was a lovely thing for the internist to share with you.

Since it was totally unexpectd for him to say this, it means even more.

Having spoken with Mr. Z, in the past, I can assure you, he did feel a certain way towards you, Z.
He really respected you and cherished you.

That kind of emotion does not just go away .It created one heck of a bond .
Hold to that thought , and be good to yourself right now.

Take your time about social engagements, and do what feels best. If you get too down, you do have family who will be there for you and good friends.

Hi Z, what a wonderful observation by your physician. How's your own health?

Everyone is trying to encourage and care for you here. But only you can decide what's right for you now. You're allowed to feel any emotion, express any thoughts.

Suggestions by all of us are offered with love, but you aren't obliged to follow them. Don't let anyone tell you how you're supposed to feel.

If you need anything...

Love, Pat

The Duck is finally correct. After some time you should go out and travel. It is probably best to go somewhere you have never been.

Take that trip you always wanted to or toil in the garden

Z,
Unfortunately, I can visit anyone's blog regularly right now.

Today, though, I do have some blogging time as Mr. AOW is having one of his "sleepy days," meaning that his brain need some filing time.

I should be grading papers this very minute, but instead I'm blogging. LOL.
