Thank you, Defiant Infidel Blog!

Everyone...ignore the nice things DI and Miradena wrote about ME and focus on Mr. Z....and the video they made just for him! I am touched beyond words and so grateful. His children have just arrived and watched it with me and they can't believe their eyes.
Thank you, Defiant Infidel friends...............for want of better words than just 'thank you'.
What an HONOR to my husband.....
Please click here and enjoy the beauty.

And, a friend just sent me this and it's so beautiful I had to share it with you:

Perhaps they are not stars,
but openings in Heaven,
where the love of our lost ones pours through
and shines upon us to let us know they are happy

Thanks, Mary xxx

That's the nice thing about love, the more it is given away and shared, the more it grows...exponentially!

That video over at DI is beautiful.

Z,
What you're going through right now is the toughest thing you'll ever do in this life.

Good to see you posting once in a while. That's grief therapy!

That is a lovely tribute to Mr. Z. You ARE loved, Z, and it IS your warmth and kindness to others that is the reason for it.

But I know you want to hear about your beloved Mr. Z rather than yourself at this time, and I wish I'd known him so I could contribute to that. Your blog is my main dose of politics these days and his posts were usually so over my head I didn't have a comment to offer. What you said about each other, on the other hand, was full of love and that came through loud and clear.

My only recollection of him was once when I passed the "frog leap puzzle" on to you and you said he solved it in two or three tries. The friend who'd sent it to me couldn't solve it at all, nor anyone in his family. I solved it but I had to take a dozen tries to get it and still can't always get it. But Mr. Z did it in a flash. Do you remember that?

Oh no, Z! I have not been visiting as much as I usually do and didn't know about this. Hon, I'm so sorry for your loss and I don't even know how to express myself as losing my husband is my one and only fear.

The video is indeed beautiful. I don't know what else to say. :(

this little bit of posting/commenting is helping me immeasurably. I'm so grateful for the blog...and to all of you.
Maybe it's because Mr Z enjoyed the blog so much.
lots of other reasons, too

You are so dearly loved, Z.

I wish I had personally known your darling man beyond those most brilliant words (of which) we were all Blessed to read on your site - and/or those oft exchanged glimpses into his strong, but oh so humorous, personality that were always a welcome presence within our emails. And I truly believe that Mr. Z is smiling down on this knowing that I did not dare to leave any participles dangling in my above sentence!

In my mind, he was a glorious representation and personification of the sweetest of sugars and the hottest of spice - and your life will surely remain seasoned with his memory. Love to you, always.

How are you feeling Z? Have you been able to get any rest? Have you been able to eat anything?

I'm remembering the knife in my heart, the shaking, the stomach tied in knots ... I am so terribly sorry you're going through this.

It's so very painful....

So beautiful is this tribute to love and loss that it still runs through my head so as not to let it go.

Z,

No doubt this love that you are being rightfully shown now is a tiny picture of how the Body of Christ is meant to work. You & I'm sure Mr. Z sent quite a few treasures on ahead that will be awaiting you when you get there (Mt.6:19-21) & knowing Christ yourself, you have that joyous solid hope that you'll see Christ first & foremost & then blessed Mr. Z, all because of the great love & grace of our God! Sorry, can't help but share that, & God Bless you. Looking forward to meeting you both in that great meeting in the air!

Dearest Z..how very beautiful is this tribute to...Love.

I couldn't hurt more, or cry more tears if you and Mr. Z were my own flesh and blood.

We have a greater connection, though..we are brother and sisters in the Lord, as are others here who are in Him.

I know you are hurting, but I do hope that you can feel all the arms around you, holding you.

I hope that our love for you, which comes from the Lord, will wash over you in a great wave of His love.

No matter what we try to express, our words are so inadequate, I know.

My husband sends his sincerest condolences, too.

I love you.

What a beautiful honor to you, Z, and Mr. Z.

DI - I loved your phrasing "Under God's Watchful Eye and Guiding Hand, we scurry about wielding the time He allots."

It will remind me to wield it well, especially when we think on the very estimable Mr. Z. What a privilege to know a man as he.

I've just come across this blog and it's apparent that this isn't the time for me to introduce myself with a lengthy intro.

Please accept my condolences for the loss of Mr. Z. It's apparent that he contributed a lot to influence of those who run this blog. What a legacy!

I will pray for your family tonight.

Michelle, GEEEZ! is run by Mr Z's wife whom we all call Z. I think she would want us to invite you back. This is a great place to exchange opinions of current issues.

It is a conservative blog, but Z does not discourage opposing opinions. She is a wonderful person and if circumstances were different I believe I'm safe in saying she would welome you.
