When someone disagrees with this administration.........

I saw this* and thought it exactly right for Obama. By the way, I wonder if he should get himself a PROTOCOL CZAR? It might be the only one I'd approve of; when is he going to get some input on how to behave as president??? The Norwegians are very angry at his dissing of their King. Remember Michelle touching the Queen and how that went over?, or the bowing to the Saudi King and the Japanese Emperor and Japan's papers not printing that photo because it was humiliating for them? He's never been to Berlin, though Angela Merkel's invited him and the capitol of a city is normally the first place a new foreign dignitary visits and that's been discussed negatively in the German media, he turned down a luncheon with Sarkozy and that set the French off. The media in Europe is largely leftist and is almost as in love with Obama as ours is, but the people are getting a little perturbed. Seriously, there are protocol people for things like this and I'm wondering if the Obamas decided to skip having one? Then there's the following bit from the linked article:

The Nobel peace committee has been criticised for awarding Obama the prize before he has any major accomplishments in international relations. A White House official said that it was not necessarily an award that Obama would have given himself.

REALLY? I doubt that. (oops! I hope there's not some czar who comes to your house and straightens you out! Naaaa................not yet.)

BY THE WAY: I may be the only person on the planet who does think a person can win a Nobel PEACE Prize when a war is being escalated. Wars are fought for peace; this war is being fought to keep extremists to a minimum and protect Western Civilization.... I'd give a prize for that if I thought the person had done anything else to deserve it.

Think about it this way, just which democrats might we be considering? How many democrats voted with Republicans lately, or even in the Bush administration?

...........(silence)

Yeah, thought so. They don't exist.
Good blog by the way..

If there's one thing I value almost above anything else, it's HONESTY. Why doesn't Our Hero simply come out and appoint what he'd like to: a PROPAGANDA Czar.

The way the GOP seems to be going, there isn't much difference between the two parties anymore, anyway. The Republicans vote for pork out of fear and because Mr Bush set the nasty massive precedent. They STILL don't seem to realize they actually win elections when they STICK to Conservatism.

BZ, interesting that TARP is touted now as successful...Bush's TARP. They're even considering TARP II, which will be ALL THE HERO'S if it happens, and I hope and pray it does NOT. If the purge in Afghanistan works, it'll be THE ONE'S, too...But his thugs are still blaming everything that they don't like on Bush.

I just read parts of Palin's books, by the way. I HOPE some of you read some of it, too. It's the least "whiney" book I've read (I was actually a bit disappointed because she doesn't attack harder those who so unconscienably and cruelly attacked her).
So interesting, what the media can talk us into. Nope...barely a whine. Fancy that.

Where the heck IS the huge stimulus package money, by the way? Are even the Republicans asking yet?

Did anybody watch Oprah's Obama last night, I think it was? I'm curious as to how it went..

OH, I FOUND THIS: Does this man's ego EVER STOP? His numbers are low and he does THIS? Is he THIS out of touch with America?

"WASHINGTON (AFP) – US President Barack Obama, in remarks aired late Sunday, awarded himself a B plus for his first 11 months in office, stressing in an interview with talk show queen Oprah Winfrey that there was still much to be done.

"A good solid B plus," Obama said during an hour-long, intimate soft-focus ABC network Christmas at the White House special, when Winfrey asked what grade he would give himself.

Explaining why he wouldn't give himself top marks, the president said his administration had "inherited the biggest set of challenges of any president since Franklin Delano Roosevelt" which they were still working on.

He had earned good points for helping to stabilize the economy, setting a path out of Iraq and restoring America's international image, but the job was not yet finished.

"B plus because of the things that are undone. Health care is not yet signed. If I get health care passed, we tip into A minus," Obama said, his hair visibly grayer than when he took office on January 20.

Winfrey was given an inside tour of the White House by First Lady Michelle Obama, wearing a knee-skimming, long-sleeved simple plum dress.

They inspected the decorations and trees adorning every nook and cranny of the nation's most exclusive address, and which have taken most of the year to plan."

I was going to BOLD the parts I find amazing, but the whole thing amazes me. unbelievable ego

Over at Malcontent's blog, Angel from Woman Honor Thyself blog says she wonders what the "B" is for in Obama's "B plus"...

I think we all know the answer to that! Bull...

That whole thing was very strange. I have wondered what motivated those people to fork over the prize before The One did anything. I understand even he was taken aback.

Is there a Nobel Prize given for Chutzpah? Or is that what the so-called Peace Prize really is?

There are no letters to gauge what I would award Obama as a grade.

What's less than an "F"?

heidianne jackson said...

i think it's important to look at the question asked him: how would you grade yourself.

it didn't ask how he thought the country was doing. or how the people of the country think he's doing. it only asked him how he thinks he's doing.

his only concern in that regard is how much of his agenda has he been able to push through. so far, he's pushed through about 80% of what's he's proposed - so, he's being honest in that regard. 80% is a good, solid b+.

but it's still disgusting that he doesn't care for grading himself against protecting the constitution, or our troops in harm's way or the people of the country in general.

bz, as to your question, yes the republicans have been calling for an accounting for the money from the stimulus "plan" and tarp. so far these calls have been blocked by pelosi and reid - big shock, eh?

oops - forgot to click for followup...

I think it would be easier to name a non-propaganda czar. They all specialize in propaganda. I think it's #1 on their list, or they couldn't "sell" anything.

Obama could very well have an advisor on protocol. Would he/she have the nerve to tell "The One" he made a mistake or keep his mouth shut?

BZ - If conservatives should split their votes in favor of a third party or candidate, we lose. The Republicans so far are voting our way. I think we have to be satisfied with that. Or we lose, and that is unacceptable.

I wouldn't be surprised if third party candidates get money from big spenders from the other side in order to split our ranks. Remember we're dealing against thugs!

I still suspect Perot got a quid pro quo (for his business which relied on government contracts), from Clinton should he be elected.

Perot hated Bush senior.

holding our elected representatives and senators AND ourselves accountable is the only way for us to come out ahead. we need to disallow these people the ability to become career congress people.

we MUST make them commit to term limits. if they don't vote for term limits their first time in office, vote 'em out.

we need to be on top of every republican everyday just as we are on the scum that's in there now. we cannot just whine and complain about congress, we need to be reminding each of them daily that THEY WORK FOR US and we will not allow them to play fast and loose with our constitution any longer.

as pris said, a third party cannot win. a true conservative with an 'r' behind their name, can. we need to continue to remind the rnc that they are no longer going to dictate to us who we get to vote for or what the campaign is going to look like.

it's time now for us to take back our cities and towns, counties and states, our political party and the country itself. we must stop the infighting and the promotion of splinter groups. if we don't work together quickly, we will end up like most countries in Europe where there is not enough of any group in power to effectively overpower the socialist bent.

In high school, my cross country team sold license plate frames at a football game as a fund-raiser. One girl said she couldn't buy one because she didn't have any money with her. My coach insisted that she take the lisence plate frame and pay him later. Even though she didn't want the product, she now felt obliged to pay for it.

Is this what's going on with the Nobel Peace Prize? The awarders of the prize know Obama hasn't done anything yet, but they are perfectly happy letting him have it on credit. Now Obama owes them one.

If Yassar Arafat and Amnesty International can win a peace prize, I guess it is no surprise that a man who has done absolutely nothing but rig elections and fund criminal organizations could be nominated only 10 days into his presidency.

Z said...

heidianne? 80% of what he proposed? The stimulus, maybe...but no health care yet, no end of the war as he'd campaigned, etc..

Sue....I guess I missed something..I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm glad you enjoy the blog, anyway..thanks very much.

Maggie, Europe's really curious about that Prize...and now they're angry, too, that America's president disses the European leaders so often. This is very sad, in my opinion.

heidianne jackson said...

yes the stimulus, z, but while not end to the war in iraq he does have an exit strategy already given to our enemies. same thing with afghanistan. then this evening, just announced a little while ago gitmo is moving to illinois.

couple that with getting all of his cabinet picks approved - even the ones who were criminals by the left's standards (except when it's a leftist who's doing it), his czars and his cap and trade win and what do you have? at least 80% of what he set out to do.

btw, the cap and trade win i speak of is his notice to congress last week where he told them words to the effect of "you either pass what the epa is saying is necessary, or i'm going to have epa take control of the whole thing and then it won't be business friendly." yeah, but gwb was tyrannical.

Heidiannne..good points.

ILLINOIS? I SWEAR I'm afraid to watch the news now...I was just going to. So, what's the pay off? ODD it's the President's home state, ISN'T IT? Is it going to go on that land where Valerie Jarrett's ex-boss lost all that money on real estate?..the one where he'd have made his money all back and more had the Obama's won the Olympics bid! ?? Maybe Gitmo will go there and EVERYBODY will be happy!

OH, my, oh, my.......ILLINOIS. What a terrible thing this is.

I have another suggestion: Put the terror trials at Gitmo...

The "mainstream media" has been repeating, ad nauseum, the line, "Obama accepts peace prize shortly after increasing the troops in Afghanistan".

They think that's ironic!

Don't they know every war ever fought resulted in peace?

What would be ironic? If Obama's minimal increase in troop strength would accidentally result in peace, in spite of Obama.
