CNN thinks FOX is too biased? REALLY......??

THIS is just too rich not to post it.  CNN is "HONEST"?   Have you seen Wolf Blitzer cover ANY Palistine/Israel story!?  I actually start laughing at the anti-Israel bias he never stops showing. CNN had Rick Sanchez on for a very long time, was that unbiased journalism? CNN has only recently started inviting Conservative talking heads on......and, even then, barely ever.

How the heck long is CNN going to slam FOX for bias? It's laughable.   Are Geraldo Rivera, Kirsten Powers, Bob Beckell, Juan Williams, Pat Cadell, Doug Schoen, Caroline Heldman, Sheperd Smith, etc etc..., all REGULARS on FOX,  CONSERVATIVE?  :-)  No, they are not.

To my readers: PLEASE write down three names of Conservatives who are on at least 3 times a week on CNN.  Good luck. And enough said.;  STOP the silliness, CNN...thou really doth protest WAAAY too hard!  Oh, also........if you've ever EVER heard anyone critical of a liberal guest on Larry King Live, CNN's evening show, get to call in a question, jot that down, too, okay?    (don't waste too much time, it doesn't happen)

BY the way...on a related story, Keith Olbermann, after being reinstated at MSNBC, said this: "Jonah Goldberg, William Kristol, and Dana Lash probably treated me better than I would have treated them," because they stood up for him regardless of their political views being so different.  I haven't a shred of respect for this highly biased, nasty creep, but I do give credit where credit is due.  He got that right.  They're Republicans, they saw he was mistreated and stood up for him.  As he says, he wouldn't have done that.  They stood up for Juan Williams, too.......I'm very proud of that.

All of the television news shows evince bias. So what?

From the beginning days of journalism, bias was in there.

The key to having a news network worth watching is that network's having other views presented too, even if the overall bias still exists.

CNN reminds me of Aesop's story "The Fox and the Grapes." Sour grapes, CNN!

I absolutely disagree with your assertion, “…they saw he was mistreated and stood up for him.” NPR mistreated Juan Williams; MSNBC did not mistreat Keith Olbermann.

Most news media have a policy against paying people for making a contribution to news reports and commentary. Olbremann violated this rule, so the people appearing on his ‘news’ show were in fact paid by Olbermann’s donation. He should have been fired, rather than suspended.

Fox is trouncing them in ratings. They have gotta be hurting for cash. No way they are going down without a lot of warbling and complaining.

Olbermann treats people badly. Like Ebenezer Scrooge, I hope he opens his eyes and has a change of heart. Yes, there are others who have character, and he is starting to notice. That has to be a step in the right direction.

Always, I think there should be delineation like FOX does...anybody who can still think sees the news for what it is and recognizes editorials for what they are (Hannity, O'R, etc.)...still, even the editorials ALWAYS have both sides presented.

Mustang, I think the rule is stupid, myself...it's not like they can give millions which will really make a difference.. yes, he violated and should have been fired, but the rule itself... not so much.

Opus, did you see how Olbermann's playing this? He got an extra half a million viewers his first night; he's reveling in it now...of course, they'll be gone by Friday, but....

CNN will verbally attack anyone that doesn't believe the garbage they are pushing onto their misguided viewers.

FOX News is fair, and most times, they have stories that no other media will touch, especially concerning our Israeli allies and the conservative and Tea Party movement.

Good job! Fox News!

Not sure if I've got all my facts straight, so correct me if necessary...

McCain-Feingold limits political speech and ads. TV news shows are not considered ads, though they may be just as one sided as a political ad. Maybe NBC is trying to hold on to the special protection they, as part of the media, have on account of campaign reform legislation.

Yes, I'm sure WOlf Blitzer is Jewish...I just checked and he is of Jewish German immigrants.....but, get this; I have seen him blister Israel, insult Israel and hold the Palestinians up even in the wake of their having destroyed Israeli children on buses but here is a link that surprised me:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-8aTGnjHnI

That video is old, maybe 25-30 years old, but he sure did have it right about Israel THEN. Lately, I hold to my assertion that he has disgust for Israel....I wish I was wrong.

tio, that could be.....I personally don't see why journalists can't financially support anybody they want to support.

Pris, indeed!

Fox really shone today even Abe Foxman says Beck is "over the top". Actually he's probaby crazy.

Keep it classy, Fox.

CNN's ratings have tanked. Anderson 180 is as about as bad as it gets. Larry King is being forced to retire. Nobody watches CNN except in places like the airport where it's imposed on you.

The Society for Professional Journalists is constantly on Cooper for his lack of objectivity. SPJ has a website, sounds funny but there are journalists out there trying to police their own, even if they're not that good at it, someone is trying.

I noticed your little link there duhkkky didn't refute Beck's remarks just chided him for saying it. Keep it to yourself duhkkkster.

Z said...

Elbro, you're right about CNN..it's a big hit in airports and hospital lobbies.

As for Dukky refuting Beck? Beck hasn't been refuted legitimately ONCE, as far as I can tell.
But, BOY, are they laying in wait for it! The slightest thing they think they can pin on him and BAMMO, it's in the media! Ducky sure bit.
"NO remorse" in helping other horrid Jews hurt the poor Jews during the holocaust. Nice, George SOros. To DO it is bad enough, but ALMOST understandable if someone has very little soul and is more eager to stay alive than have integrity, but to have NO REMORSE? The man STINKS.

By the way, Elbro, every time I see Beck, he's all over his blackboard showing connections with Obama and banks and Soros and the nastiest, most socialist or communists bunches going...NEVER ONCE has the WH (who we all know is watching his every move) been able to refute. Still, Beck's red phone sits there, and they do have the number and he's more than willing to discuss their questions...
but, nada.

LMAO.

Z, they really believe this. For the left, balance is having a progressive and a more progressive person on.

Duckhead, for instance, would be their conservative representative.

elmers brother said...

BTW Chris Matthews has worse ratings then CNN. Doesn't that give you tingle?

Z said...

Elbro, it sure does :-)
It gives me more than that!

CHuck, they really DO believe they're fair...you'd think anybody with a shred of fairness and balance in him would know better. Oh, sorry, that'd be people from the other channel :-)

Seriously, Chuck and Elbro:
All I ask is for lefties to do the math; compare the amazing amount of liberals who are constantly on FOX, many on the payroll, to CNN or MSNBC. DONE.
OH, ya...Scarborough and Pat Robertson are Conservative representatives on MSNBC!! Pat, the only COnservative around, practically, who didn't support the Iraq war! (what a job for MSNBC people to refute him, huh?) and Scarborough, who's more interested in being popular than truthful or conscientious. YOu just can't make this UP!

elmers brother said...

CNN should take a tip duhkkky...WHAMMY!

we don't believe everything we hear and see anymore duhkkky Stay Classy

Ducky, we know the left want's to discredit Fox. It want's Beck gone. It want's Palin gone. It says Sharron Angle was a whack job or Michele Bachmann is stupid. It want's the tea party gone. It says Bush was evil, Dick Cheney was Darth Vader, and on and on, and on.

The name calling is less and less effective. You've overused it, and abused it. We almost can't hear it anymore it's so common.

In fact, we realize that those you trash have some merit or you wouldn't bother.

If any of the people you have trashed and called crazy had called it quits, you could say what you do works.

But they haven't have they. No, they have risen above it and gotten more exposure, and in some cases, are celebrated.

I learned years ago, that those who are troublemakers and divisive, if left to their own devices, will implode and do themselves in.

People will turn their backs on them. They've seen this over and over again, but the truth shines through, and the cowards who would destroy, are themselves destroyed by their own hand, figuratively speaking of course.

So keep it up Ducky, we know you'll continue because you're a one trick pony. Pretty sad if you ask me.

Long before there actually was a somewhat right-leaning daily television news source in America, I used to point to Pat Buchanan and Michael Kinsley on CNN's Crossfire as an example of conservative views not getting any airtime on ideological punditry shows.

Duckling,
Not that you would know the difference but Beck's show is commentary and not hard news. Same with Hannity and O'Riley and Special Report.

There is actually a difference between the news section and the commentary section.

That being said I am not a huge Beck fan. I can take his show for about 10 minutes. I prefer Special Report.

Z said...

Pris, well said.

Beamish.......I remember that.. good point there.

Vegas Guy......the left LOVES to slam FOX by mentioning Hannity and O'Reilly and Beck as if they're giving the news and it's biased. THey do it ALL the time.
I'd love them to sit through Shep Smith or Geraldo and tell us what's Right about them.

Kind of hard to believe that Ann Coulter and Michael Savage are both former-employees of MSNBC.

Even Donahue's MSNBC show had multiple viewpoints. I was remember being disappointed when the show got canceled because Ted Nugent was going to be the guest for that show. And his interview with Dennis Miller yielded the funniest moment I've seen on cable news. It involved Miller's using the f-bomb and then checking with Donahue to confirm that he was bleeping. Donahue stuttered nervously before spitting out an uncertain "I hope so." They weren't.

You mean PHIL DONOHUE, tio?
He might have been on NBC but that was years before MSNBC, was he on MSNBC as well? (or should I say "too" :-)

Anonymous said...

yeah, Phil D. had a show on MSNBC. He was pretty left-sided opinionated, but he did have people on with opposing perspectives. I mostly remember his saying we should be more cautious about Iraq and shouldn't go to war. Miller made fun of him for wanting to practice such caution with Iraq, but not practicing the caution of putting Miller on 5-second delay.
