"If a person allows it, he can find something at every turn of the road that will rob him of his victory and his peace of mind. Satan is far from retiring from his work of attempting to deceive and destroy God's children. At each milestone in your life, it is wise to check the temperature of your experience in order to be keenly aware of the surrounding conditions.
If you will do this and firmly exhibit your faith at the precise moment, you can sometimes actually snatch victory from the very jaws of defeat.
Faith can change any situation, no matter how dark or difficult. Lifting your heart to God in a moment of genuine faith in Him can quickly alter your circumstances.
God is still on His throne, and he can turn defeat into victory in a split second, if we will only trust Him."......From Streams in the Desert, but L.B. Cowman
I doubt that many of us would want to share when or how God, in a moment of our genuine faith in Him, quickly altered our circumstances, but I'll bet some of you know very well that does happen. And, of course, it might not be circumstances that get altered in our moment of genuine faith; it might be our mood, our outlook, our attitude.....and changing those often helps enough that the circumstances don't need changing after all; they might be there to teach us something very, very great.
I think this reminder is important for us as we face what's happening in America these days, and I think it's important for us as we face things in our own personal lives.
If you'd like to share anything personal, anything about how renewing your faith changed a circumstance or you, please do. If you'd rather not, just ponder it and remember it can happen again!
"....anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." Hebrews 11:6

My first wife was in my face, screaming at me as a result of an argument the previous night.
I pulled back my hand to slap her, when God spoke to me and said "You don't love your wife".
Well I knew that.
But I knew I was commanded to.
And I couldn't.
Then it struck me.
I prayed, "God, you dwell in me, and You love my wife. Please love her through me."
Immediately, all the hate and anger dissipated and I leaned forward and hugged her. Was she surprised. Me too.
Ed, thank you SO MUCH for that comment. It is precisely what I think that post from STREAMS IN THE DESERT means. Your prayer was amazing...just the right thing.
This will stay with me a long time.
thanks
Z - Everyday I turn to Him and He never lets me down. Just knowing He is there keeps me going. My faith is all I have sometimes and it is all I need.
Hope your Sunday was good - Z.
I'm so happy for that very grand example of His faith and loyalty.
Thanks, Sue..I hope you had a good Sunday, too.xx
