I hate to ACCUSE anybody, but...........

Earlier today, I was listening to a talk radio show and heard this ABC news snippet between commercials: "Sarah Palin ATTACKED Barack Obama on his stance............. (whatever it was).........and, in response, Obama ACCUSED Palin of..........(whatever it was)...." Get it? Which is worse...ATTACK or ACCUSED?!! right.

Also, BLOGGERS: GET READY. I have commented at Frontpagemag.com for years and what I'm already starting to see on some of the blogs is the same thing that happened there every single election year: The Left gets scared and starts to show their colors, on blogs AND talk radio......SO...

We bloggers are going to get non-blogger "anonymous" comments from the Left more and more; gird your loins! Talk Radio will get them again starting soon, too. The blog and call-in comments will either be really ugly and demeaning (maybe even more this election since McCain's up in the polls and rising and the Left's not planning on losing this election if George So ros and Kha lid al Mans our have anything to say about it$$) OR they will start with the typical "You know, I am a Republican, but I could NEVER vote for McCain because............" (they think they're sowing seeds in the minds of conservatives listening....huh?)

Don't believe them........the Bush/Gore campaign period had plenty of those and, um....WHO WON? Enjoy it. They are running scared. That's a very good thing.

Also in today's news is that McCain's numbers are much higher than Obama's when they asked "PEOPLE LIKELY TO VOTE." ruhroh!

The rumors, the scare tactics, are starting now...I just read this article. Please read it. Let me tell you here about a dear friend who worked in the Crenshaw District here in Los Angeles, an almost entirely Black area. She worked there for nearly 35 years and, every election, the practitioner she worked for would ask the Black elderly people who came to his office "So, you vote yet?" in his usual friendly manner. The answer was always "Oh, yes! Lovely people came to my home to show me how to get an absentee ballot and then, when I got it, they came to help me FILL IT OUT!" You think those were Republicans? Do you think ROCK THE VOTE is nonpartisan!? But, please...catch the incredible inference in the article. Now, tell me who's cheating. PLEASE keep your eyes out for precinct problems on voting day!! Volunteer to WORK THE POLLS!

By the way...did anybody else hear Obama on O'Reilly say "It's NEIGHBORLY" to force those with more to give to those with less? And, would anybody like to come help me BOP O'REILLY right in the nose!?

Seeing this a lot Z. I ignore it. I have always felt that typically if someone starts a sentence with "Even though I am a..." they're not really. If you are a...whatever, you don't declare it in every conversation. You don't do this in your blog, you let the words you write speak to your viewpoint.

Z,
O'Reilly is a pin head.
Pay no attention to him, if we get real lucky, maybe this year he will go down the tubes.

Neighborly to force those with more to give to others. Fine, I say let's all go to his house and diviy up his goodies.

Practice what you preach there, Mr. O, is that pithy enough for you?

Old Blowhard.

Can't you just imagine Barack Obama screeching that Sarah is hurting him???

Well, I just ignore it and I will not allow anonymous comments at my blog so they will have to make up a name! LOL!

Great posting. BTW-I was horrified when I was scanning channels last night and accidentally hit 2 - 60 minutes must have been on and of course they were talking about Obama. I was ready to change the channel when I could not believe what I heard!

The commentator on CBS (60 minutes) said......"and that right-winged DOG Shawn Hannity............."

I was so appalled and angry. I really dislike hearing human beings speak like that about another human being. It is so sad.

People say things in anger at times, but apologize - but this was so, so deliberate and ugly.

Nothing surprises me anymore.

The great irony is that many liberals still bitch and moan that Bush "stole" the election in 2000 (even though it has been refuted many times over), yet they have been "helping" elderly citizens fill out their mail-in ballots, registering and voting for people who are already six feet under, and driving buses full of illegal immigrants to polling stations.

And don't expect the media to cover it.

Just felt like I needed to make sure everybody realizes these are plants or just disgruntled Democrats, not Republicans who're suddenly "enlightened!" you can't BELIEVE how many we used to get at FPM!!

O'Reilly is a blowhard but the most powerful on television, sadly. Millions put stock in what he says, WV....you can't pay no attention to him.
I hope i didn't give the impression I DO...am reminding everyone that he has now said "Bring her on!" About Palin, and he means to make HIM look like the BIG FAIR INTERVIEWER. He will be 30% tougher on Palin than he's been on Obama. TRUST me, practically promised it on his show tonight. He is no friend to Republicans (tho he has done some good things), he is mostly in it for how FAIR he looks.
I think it's more important to BE FAIR....intellectually FAIR.

Liz! "Right winged DOG!" Imagine if ANY FOX NEWS PERSON SAID THAT about ANY Lefty?

m.a...thanks. I was too lazy to do that work; you found what I was thinking of... you really do prove my point and i can't thank you enough for posting that here. And WE are the bad guys, huh?

Just BE PREPARED: My words were to encourage bloggers; these are NOT really Reps..they're in Dems in drag (so to speak!) and please start writing to O'Reilly, those of you who like him...tell him we want FAIR to Palin; we don't need him to make his name in cable television even bigger$$ and sacrifice her integrity and reputation in that pursuit.

I lost interest in Bill O'Rielly when the video game tie-in deal for his "fight" with Al Franken fell through.

(Bill O'Reilly is smart enough to be an ex-ACLU supporter, but not nearly smart enough to have never been an ACLU supporter in the first place)

haha. Very good point, beamish!

I guess you all realize it doesn't much matter what WE think of Bill O'Reilly. Do you know what his ratings are?

People watch him, like it or not!

Even I do sometimes......as I scream and hiss and call him BLOWHARD half the time!

It'd be mighty "neighborly" if Obama would share some of that $4 million with me. I have less than he, and he should lead by example and share.

and don't they think they're clever! LOL! It never ceases to amaze me that they try this tactic again and again.

Bill O'Reilly is two faced, I knew that from the day that he put down the Swift-boaters.

The fight is well and truly on. As you say, the media is going to be rabid. Hunker down into the trenches and get ready because it's not going to be pretty. Here in Australia, the newspapers are disgusting (including snide jabs at Sarah Palin by some people). If we don't know what we believe by now, we're going to end up shaken off the tree...and there's plenty of people around who believe everything they read, sadly. One of my dear friends here in Australia thought the American election was between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Boy did I give her a wakeup call! ;)

The media will likes to keep the appearance of a close election in order to maximize ad buys.

You have to keep your eye on who really makes tremendous money during the election.

Z said...

Morgan, isn't it funny to watch them at FPM?

Wordsmith...."neighborly"..it just stunned me, the naivite.

Aurora...someone emailed me that you'd never know mcCain's even in the race if you only read European papers! THAT's honest, huh?

dd2, good point. and JM, me too!

Ducky...I've been thinking the same thing.

Since this seems to be a discussion about Bill O'Reilly I have to put in my two cents worth.

I have to say, be careful what you wish for. While O'Reilly has an ego the size of well, Alaska, he does bring attention to some issues that no one else does.

First, he is an advocate for children, and has exposed judges who go easy on pedophiles, and he has been instrumental in getting Jessica's Law passed in most of the country. Not a small feat.

This is very important at a time in America when barely anyone cares enough to focus on children and their very real vulnerabilities.

He shines a light on the culture war, which I see no one else doing. He has gained enough power due to his success, to focus on this without being destroyed.

He takes on the far left, the corruption of the msm, their hate-filled propaganda, lies and obfuscation.

He is an unapologetic Christian, and calls the ACLU the most dangerous organization in America. I don't care if he once felt differently. He, if you'll excuse the expression, has gotten religion when it comes to the ACLU.

Yes, I agree O'Reilly is not warm and fuzzy, and is grating but I don't care. I agree there are certain issues on which I disagree with him, and that occasionally drive me nuts.

But, he serves a purpose for conservatives in that he drives the left to distraction, and exposes them for what they are, which I find rather enjoyable.

To expect any major commentator not to compete for the most desireable interviews is unrealistic IMO. That's just the reality of that business. And O'Reilly is as concerned about his ratings as anyone else in a dog eat dog business.

So, having said all that, until someone comes along who can satisfy all conservative positions on all issues, with the power to be influential, and do it with humility and aplomb, I'll continue to watch O'Reilly, because when that day comes, methinks hell will have frozen over.

I know, Pris, but to slam OUR SIDE in the guise of fairness just for ratings irks me.
I've never said he doesn't do some great stuff...he is a huge advocate for children.

Let's see his treatment of Sarah, though after what he said last night about having her on, she'd be smart not to.

O'Reilly is a fatuous, bloviating Boeotian who is mostly interested in his ratings. That the left calls him a right wing attack dog makes me laugh. He's not.

As far as the attacks go, I've had my fill of President Bush's classy way of not hitting back at the libby attacks. I'm itching for a fight & I want them to bring it on.
Let's roll!

Wait till Gidget gets a load of what's waiting outside the border:

Dear Gidget Palin,

Here's a joke that's funnier thamn your candidacy. A priest and a rabbi walk into a bar and the moment McCain croaks we are invading Ukraine.

Your pal,

Russia

Ducky, it's you leftist idiots who're not afraid of Islam, REMEMBER?

I'm going on moderation if the insults don't stop..you're no 'value added' anymore, you're just drivel and negativity and that's why I left FPM. I got sick of it. You're next.

Go somewhere else and spew...tell KOS and Huffington you didn't get a foothold here.

I'm serious.....fight with civility or you're done here. I have NO problem going on moderation ...to the contrary, it would be a pleasure not to have you here anymore if you can't go back to your 'pre Palin', less SCARED TO DEATH OF HER attitudes.

thanks.

I'm not disagreeing with you Z.

I know O'Reilly walks that line to attract viewers of all stripes, and to get prized interviews. Also, I do think it's calculated. And sometimes he tries too hard. It aggravates me too.

It's also clear that at times he seems naive and cuts some people slack, just because they showed up.

I did however think it desirable to point out some issues he is faithful to that mean something to me. Issues that I don't see covered in depth by others in powerful positions in that business.

From what I've seen, when O'Reilly has the "big" interviews, I don't think he's all that tough with any of them. He wants them to come back.

Pris, you can disagree ALL YOU WANT (and I see you were NOT disagreeing with me and I believe O'Reilly does do enough good that he deserved a little protection here!) because you disagree with civility and kindness.

I absolutely support disagreements at geeeeZ!

O'Reilly does what everyone else does only better; I guess I shouldn't fault him TOO much!!!!!
