You simply must see this.....

Imagine what America's doing to our own health care?  Do we even CARE about our own citizens anymore?
I cry..........for those poor illegals whose country won't help them and, mostly, for US.   Meanwhile, Obama's doing about the same ineffective job Bush did keeping illegals out and people wonder why our costs are so high... make sure you watch the whole thing.  Incredible

I thought doctors and hospitals were the devil, according to Obamarx. I am amazed at the generosity. Congress should pass a bill to send bills to foreign nations.

Do you see how much MONEY we've spent and how FAST you and I'd be kicked out of the hospital, FB? Do you think WE could stay anywhere for FOUR YEARS unless we sold everything we owned?

My GOSH....I'm hoping more people take the time to watch this; I"ll leave it up into tomorrow ...it's too important to ignore.

xx
What did you do that you're in a CAST, by the way?

Meanwhile there's a Republican JERK who was a TP candidate who beat out Republican Rick Lazio in NY, who actually had a chance of competing. THIS jerk is 30 points behind now and, since he's threatened a reporter with his LIFE, probably just handed the left a governorship. #@()$&)(*@#&$

"The fact that they're illegal is not enough crime?" he asks.

So what other illegal acts are not crimes?

Will somebody please make me a list so I can go out and commit them without fear of retribution?

Ducky's here said...

"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'"

I'm giving up feeling I don't understand why evangelicals pay so little attention to the Gospels.

Oh, my GOSH, DUcky! I've read that and never understood what it meant, THANK YOU SO MUCH for clearing things up! WHAT would I DO without you? :-) (Yes, LOTS of sarcasm there!)

Ducky, who the HECK anywhere suggests that people shouldn't help those in need? See, that's what libs do, they twist something like the video presentation and the comments and just don't understand that the Word tells us to give but not to give until we get into a situation where WE are in need....it's up to us to give what we can and it's up to others to do for their own, or for themselves....
It's not wise to destroy hospitals for those who need them in their communities...just not wise, particularly when robbing those who can help will make a situation where nobody will survive.

I give up, I don't know why people who haven't studied the Bible in depth keep trying to embarrass or hurt 'evangelicals' with misunderstandings.

That's odd. I can't give up the idea that leftists absolutely lack reading comprehension skills.

Now Ducky, I realize we're never going to have a productive, honest, rational and respectful discussion until you buck up and admit recognition of the obvious fact that you're an incessantly imbecilic idiot, but I still want to leave you with something to floss your brain cell with.

There's absolutely no way to get an endorsement of socialism out of a Bible that says "thou shalt not covet" and "thou shalt not steal."

Now, I understand you were raised Catholic so it's a given that you've not had much if any exposure to actual Christian theology, but surely you can read.

Notice that the words "charity" and "giving" in the dictionary are never defined as "a program where taxes are collected under penalty of law to benefit illegal aliens in hospitals."

Now, if you want to make a mission of Christian charity and raise money for helping downtrodden illegal immigrants, become a Christian and I'll help you out wit a donation.

Or go make a shrine of the water stain behind your toilet that "looks like Mary."

But don't pass that judgement that quite frankly, you don't have.

"for even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: 'if a man will not work, he shall not eat.' " 2 thessalonians 3:10

yes we are commanded, as god-fearing, scripture-abiding people to be charitable. we are commanded to render unto caesar that which IS caesar's (read pay our taxes as required by the government's law.)

however, even if you are poor and require the aid of charity, you are supposed to be working to earn that charity. you are expected to do whatever you can to alleviate the burdon of he(or she) who is providing for you.

the problem with ducky and the other leftists of the world, is that they think that stealing my hard-earned cash to give to someone whom i have not chosen to be charitable, is the same thing as charity.

This has been going on for years and there are hospitals all across America who have many stories like the ones the lady speaks about. I have seen many cases like this, myself.

And Ducky, I say this with all sincerity (despite the fact I think you are one of the most misguided and unrealistic individuals I have ever blogged with and haven't got the critical thinking skills of an oyster):

I truly hope that someday you do not get a diagnosis of some kind cancer or leukemia and are told that your chemo will be $15,000/dose of which you will be responsible for 20% out of pocket. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but if that happens to you or someone you care deeply about, maybe then, you will see why people are tired of this kind of stuff.

People have paid into insurance plans for years so others could have good healthcare when they got sick. But now that it's their turn to get sick, they find that deductibles are up and maximum out of pocket expenses are up, because the hospitals much offset the exorbitant costs of providing care to illegal aliens who do not even qualify for medicaid.

You have no concept about what it takes to run a hospital or any other entity that provides medical care. You know nothing about why the costs are so high. You really need to educate yourself more before you start with the sanctimonious BS.

Until then, you can quote scripture all you want and look the fool that you are. The facts remain the facts.

Exactly Heidianne.

I just gotta say it. If illegal immigration is going to destroy the leftist welfare system, I'm renting a UHaul and going down there to smuggle up around 30 of them a load.

FairWitness said...

This is just one medical center 40 miles north of West Palm Beach, Florida. Can you imagine the staggering costs if every hospital nationwide had to report all the costs of illegal immigrants care? It's in the hundreds of billions of dollars, annually.

No wonder our healthcare system is so costly. Those of us with private health insurance or cash are already paying for them through higher costs that offset their unpaid medical bills. We not only pay for our own healthcare expenses, we pay for everyone who doesn't, regardless of their citizenship.

Think of all the nurses and healthcare professionals who deserve pay raises who aren't going to get them because we're spending the money we should paying them on illegals healthcare. Think of all the improvements and equipment not replaced, refurbished or acquired because we're spending that money on illegals.

This is so outrageous. And our government's answer is to take over the entire healthcare system??? Look what they've INTENTIONALLY caused in order to do this. CONGRESS passed the laws mandating that illegals be treated in hospitals regardless of their status and inability to pay. They imposed this on the American healthcare system ON PURPOSE in order to create a catastrophe which would destroy the entire private industry.

This has been implemented to take more control over our lives. This was a strategic move to herd all of us compasionate dolts into the corral where we would be trapped.

We went along with these laws because we have bullied by the ruling class elites, calling us heartless & racist if we opposed it. Folks, WE HAVE BEEN HAD. The ruling class has absolutely NO respect or regard for those they are supposed to represent.

The fight to take back our country and restore order and freedom is going to take a very long time and a very strong citizenship. We are in for one hell of a fight and it's going to take a very long time to win it.

Have courage, be strong and America, fight this with everything you've got, as though your very life is in jeopardy --- BECAUSE IT IS.

Fair Witness, such good points..thanks. We have definitely been bullied and shamed into this socialist junk by the leftwingers, media included, and it's got to STOP.
Yes, imagine how many hospitals have this going on? Several hospitals have had to CLOSE in Los ANgeles...so, millions are without a good hospital nearby; typical socialist planning, huh? Close it down for EVERYBODY because we had to go broke paying for people who haven't paid into the system.

And yet, we get bullied into believing that we should be giving free healthcare to everyone even if it means our own loved ones have to suffer. THIS is Christian?

Actually Beamish I am pretty sure I could make a strong case for biblical socialism based on New Testament theology, two thousand years of Christian history and a call to live our lives like Jesus did.

But that is for another post.

You said "if you want to make a mission of Christian charity and raise money for helping downtrodden illegal immigrants, become a Christian and I'll help you out wit a donation."

I'd like to take you up on that.

I work the majority of the year in Mexico trying to bring hope and a better way of life to some of the least of these that Jesus talks about.

And honestly, some of our work helps people make the decision to stay in Mexico, rather than try and come to the US. That is not our main focus, but it is one of the results of our work.

My ministry, Adventures in Life is a 501(c)3 non profit.

Here's the link to our web page. You'll see the Support AIL button at the top.

Whatever you decide to give really would help us. We are trying to raise $5000.00 right now to buy a well drilling rig so that we can help a group of farmers in Oaxaca, Mexico increase their crop yields so they can better feed their families.

Thanks in advance Beamish!

Dave Miller: "I could make a strong case for biblical socialism based on New Testament theology, two thousand years of Christian history and a call to live our lives like Jesus did."

Absolutely impossible.

Not one time in the entire New Testament is the government either encouraged or commanded to provide for those in need.

Christians, to show the glory of God, are to help those in need; not the government.

LASunsett said...

//Actually Beamish I am pretty sure I could make a strong case for biblical socialism based on New Testament theology, two thousand years of Christian history and a call to live our lives like Jesus did.//

Where?

Because the New Testament Christians needed no such medical care. Christ and eventually His apostles pretty much healed everyone.

I know of nowhere where Christ commanded that everyone needed to be taken care of from cradle to grave. I certainly cannot find anywhere where it implies that a government should do it or require it of others.

David, GOd bless you and your work.
Keep them there...I don't mean that sarcastically; I mean people deserve a chance to live their lives where they were born and raised, not having to escape, risking their lives, to come live somewhere where their hope and self-reliance is stolen from them from getting freebies...or working very, very hard with no protection.

Joe, you're a freakin' genius.

LA...I laughed out loud! JESUS HEALED, they didn't need health care!! I swear, that's fabulous!! :-)

Joe, as a personal lifestyle choice...

However, as private property cannot exist in a Christian context, remember we surrender all, including our rights, and, to quote John MacArthur, we become slaves for Christ, I struggle to see why more people who want to see their gov't be more Christian do not embrace these themes.

All surrendering of property was strictly voluntary. He never commanded them to do it, nor did he intend for the state to seize it and redistribute against the will of the individual. They did it on their own. It was a spontaneous act of charity.

Some people held onto property so they could earn more money, so they could give more to the Church. Not everyone sold everything and just handed it all over to the pastor.

They took care of themselves, because the state was persecuting them.

David, we can all own what we want, realizing full well nothing is ours, it's all His. We 'rent' everyone we have on this earth, I guess we could say.
Having your own home and raising your children in that security doesn't seem unChristian to me...at least I"ve never read anything against that.

LA ..thanks for that.

I'm pretty sure your "strong case" would collapse with weight applied upon it, but I'll wait for your premises first. Your idea that "private property cannot exist in a Christian context" is a absurdity.

You said "if you want to make a mission of Christian charity and raise money for helping downtrodden illegal immigrants, become a Christian and I'll help you out wit a donation."

I may make a donation to an organization that promotes literacy and reading comprehension. How many downtrodden illegal immigrants are down in Mexico anyway?

Dave Miller said...

Thanks for your help Beamish...

I figured that would be the answer...

BTW, I work with a lot of people in Mexico who have crossed illegally. I even work in a small village where the coyote express leaves every Wednesday for the US.

I am pretty sure that if we used a fraction of our enforcement budget, that according to conservatives, is not being effective right now, to help in the places where I work, we'd decrease illegal immigration to the US.

I'd sure like to hear how what's yours is yours after you give it all to God.

If my understanding of giving our lives, all that we have, and all that we hope to be to God and becoming a slave to him is absurd, then yes, I am absurd.

As is almost every theologian and pastor that preaches Christianity. It is a central teaching of the faith.

LASunsett said...

Dave says:

//I'd sure like to hear how what's yours is yours after you give it all to God.//

I think you are misinterpreting this concept. It's God's already. He doesn't need everything you have to give it to someone else, because He gave to you. He wants your heart, your faith, your confidence and your appreciation for what He has given you.

And if you see an individual in need and have the ability to help them, then He would like for you to help that person. I do not see how you can skew this simple concept into one that states we need to be happy that hospitals are providing free medical care at the expense of people, who struggle hard to keep their insurance and put food on their own table, so THEY will not need to require government assistance.

Nowhere does the Bible even imply that government is a tool of God and should be used to strip people of what God has given them, through their abilities. nowhere in the Bible does it imply that people need to give away everything to other people who don;t have anything.

Some of them do not have anything because they do not work for anything. Give a man a fish and you feed him a meal that he will digest and it be gone in a few hours. Teach a man to fish and he can feed himself for the rest of his life.

Z said...

Could you rephrase this? I'm interested in what you're talking about but not clear on what you said or the implication.

LA Sunsett...well said. I totally agree with you. The fish/fishing pole is a major distinction, as you know between Dems and Reps, too.

Uh huh.

My God paves the streets of heaven with gold. It's dirt under your feet there.

Tell you what. Give me God's address, and I'll cut him a check. I don't deal with hubristic middlemen.

I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be something left after you render to Caesar what's his and render to God what's His. To buy the cloak to sell to buy a sword and such. To be a strong man armed that keepeth his palace and goods at peace. To double the value of the talents left by the master and such.

No, socialism is not Biblical at all.

But investment capitalism is.
