Prominent American Traitors

Note: The following email comes from a friend who lives in Japan. What strikes us about this is not simply its thoughtfulness, but the potential ramifications of what the email suggests. After reading these two short paragraphs, we would appreciate your point of view.

“Benedict Arnold may have been our first traitor, but he certainly wasn't our last … not even our most highly placed. Vice President of the United States Aaron Burr conspired with a British Ambassador to seize the Louisiana territory. Others have included John Walker, Jr., Major Nadal Malik Hasan, Robert Hanssen, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, Alger Hiss, Iva Toguri D’Aquino (also known as Tokyo Rose), Aldrich Ames, Adam Yahiye Gadahn, and many Americans regard Jane Fonda as a traitor to her country.

“And in terms of prominence, there could be one more: a man whose lofty position and race may ultimately exonerate him from prosecution. An unwillingness to prosecute doesn't alter the fact of his transgressions against the American people, however. Unlike Benedict Arnold, who sold his country cheaply —in exchange for a promotion to major general, the American people will be paying for the treachery of Mr. Obama decades into the future."

Let us know what you think.

And the scary thing is the number of enablers that vote for such a knave.

Treason describes Obama buddy Bill Ayers.

Poor leadership is not grounds for treason...unless we're willing to retroactively prosecute many other POTUSs...from both parties.

As Democrats are fond of saying, "It's for the children."

See, that's what the great deficits and debts are about. They're all about the children.

And it is the childred who will pay.

I'm with Constitutional Insurgent on this one.

Treason is a serious charge.

Joe,

You are 'Spot-On'. The ad nauseam bromide, from whence you speak, is incomplete and should be: IT'S FOR THE CHILDREN TO PAY.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.
The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.
—United States Constitution, Article III, Section 3

Giving aid and comfort to the enemy, those who advocate or levy war against the United States, is clearly an act of treason. I'm quite positive it would be interesting reading to discover the extent to which Barack Hussein Obama has done this with the Muslim Brotherhood, the parent organization of al-Qaeda and the Taliban particularly when we learn the number of good Americans who lost their lives due to acts of treason.

I agree; it is a serious charge and this probably explains why no one of substance has made the allegation.

It would be very difficult to prove treason against obama. That he doesn't like America and its history is obvious. That he wants to drasticly change America into something he believes is better, is also true. Is that treason. Some of us see it that way; but legally as Chief Justice Roberts said in his Obamacare decission, elections have consequences.

Conservative on fire, I see Obama's actions and dictates, as a power grab, not that he thinks it's better for America.

He skirts Congress through his czars, and has trampled on our Constitution.

In other words, he mostly does this through executive fiat, as if there is nothing he has to abide by. Even the President is not above the law.

Yes, elections do have
consequences, but one of those should not be the ability to disregard the right of the people to be free of governmental oppression. This is not a Monarchy!

Yes, make no mistake, he will try to 'incrementally' turn the office of the Presidency into a veritable 'Dictatorship'. All he needs is to garner enough gullible minions to enable it. It worked for Hitler! While it won't be treason, per se, it will be insanity! We must get rid of him before it's too late.

To the infamous list of traitors we could probably add Ducky’s name, for if he is not a traitor to his country, he is a traitor to its ideals.

FROM Z of geeeZ:'

I think TRAITOR is a very serious word, too.

I've thought a lot about this since we rec'd this via email from the friend in Japan..

I think the bottom line is that so many Americans simply can't trust Obama.
And more wouldn't if they were awake and listening to ALL the news, not just the network leftwing channels and leftwing big city newspapers.

I suppose not being able to trust someone doesn't mean treason.........?

And, I suppose whatever political party's guy's not in power doesn't trust the one IN power...

Still, I believe anybody following Alinsky's 'rules' this closely, and having done so all his life...

if only more Americans understood that.

Let's get a good dictionary def. of TREASON and talk.

Nobody wants to EVER call a sitting president TREASONOUS, but this conversation is an interesting one, I think, and I'm grateful for the words that came from Japan and get us thinking.

Jack Whyte provided the best definition.
"... shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies..."
The next is to define "enemies".
Does this only refer to a declared war?

IT's a harsh word to use.

But if you want to use it loosely, I think a lot of politicians in Congress are committing treason.

Bernanke is also committing treason then.

The big banks are committing treason.

The list never ends.

Constitutional Insurgent said...

No doubt that it's an easy word to abuse. Use it loosely enough and any connection can be made.

Along with what FrogBurger mentioned......We removed the regional counterpart to Iranian goals of hegemony in the gulf, and abetted a friendly regime in Tehran; several prominent politicians and former officials lobbied for and colluded with a designated Foreign Terror Organization [MeK].

The danger of this kind of rhetoric is that it's difficult to keep contained to one's own political party.

Right on Constitutional Insurgent. We removed all those dictators that were not crazy muslims. Good intent for more freedom but not sure this is going to work to our benefit, at least in the short term.

I have been astonished at WHAT good news we've very suddenly, after 4 years of dreadful news, started getting from the Labor Dept, housing, etc....what a truly amazing turn of events and one I hope is true!

Of course, we know the Labor Dept isn't taking into consideration those who've stopped looking for work, and that number's grown, but any growth, even only 140,000 in all our millions, is good, isn't it! :-)

Housing? Who knows? UP!! I suppose the low loans are doing their magic.

It's just truly stunning how, JUST before this election, all of this good news is happening! HOlder's own department exonerates him, etc ...WOW :-)

Yet, on the Yahoo homepage poll, many more people think the economy's not recovering.....hmmm

Operation Fast & Furious comes to mind as an act of treason, in my book. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry and DEA agent Jaime Zapata were killed by weapons put into the hands of their killers by our government. Dozens and dozens of Mexican citizens, including government officials, policemen and military personnel, have been murdered by this criminal act. All to instigate a massive gun violence crisis that originated from the USA. Thereby creating the necessity for gun control. Our government planned to have wholesale murder take place - without any regard or value of those who lost their lives. Sure sounds like treason to me. They put weapons into the hands of the enemy and created the violence.

Average American said...

Operation Fast & Furious, as Fairwitness points out could be treason. It could also be deemed an act of War against Mexico. Problem is, there's no proof NOMObama had anything to do about it.

Same can be said about his birth place. If any proof is found that he was NOT eligible to be President, THAT WOULD be treasonous!

Liberalmann said...

So stupid it's laughable.

What 'treachery?' the 'treachery' that save the middle class from bread lines with a depression? the 'treachery' that killed Osama? the 'treachery' that stopped insurance companies from allowing people to die?

No, the 'treachery' is a GOP who is so dead set on preventing Obama another term they have blocked bills to put Americans back to work and have done all they can to make the middle class suffer in a sluggish, but improving economy.

Get real for a change and wake the F up!

Jack Welch, the former CEO of GE, stood by his tweet calling Friday's unemployment rate of 7.8 percent "unbelievable."

"I have no idea where this number came from," he told Fox News. "I don't know what the right number is, but I'll tell you these numbers dont smell right when you think about where the economy is right now."

Following Friday's report that the unemployment rate fell to 7.8 percent, Welch wrote in a tweet: "Unbelievable jobs numbers..these Chicago guys will do anything..can't debate so change numbers."

Welch wasn't the only one offering conspiracy theories though; Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) wrote on his Facebook page that the unemployment rate fell below 8 percent through "manipulation of data" and CNBC personality Rick Santelli said "I told you they'd get it under 8 percent -- they did! You can let America decide how they got there!"

Anonymous said...

How did we get 7.8?

Well the rate was 8.7 so they thought that if they got caught, they could say it was a typo and digits had been inverted :)

Z said...

I was stunned to hear on the radio this evening that many people are questioning the numbers of jobs....experts are questioning how the hell the Labor Dept came up with this considering the whole story is not reflected in that number

WHAT is going ON? Are we SO floundering for truth because our media doesn't care about anything except upholding OBAMA and his agenda and if you question you're racist or stupid or a rightwing kook?

THis is Alinsky ...10000% Alinsky.

And the fact that the lazy arrogant POS doesn't read his intel briefings either...

So...today, miraculously the unemployment numbers go down? Does the moron think that everyone ( including even gullible libs ) are that stupid?

Either way...rather than conceding defeat....they now slander, libel and lie about Mr. Romney. The demorat pigs in their media pig pen, covered with shit...their oinking, fraudulent slander...think that that...will win them votes?

The whole reason that Andrew Johnson insisted on the Section 3 of the XIV Amendment was to have a strong course of action to stop such activity, by not having the ability to seek Public Office after being exposed as to giving aid and comfort to those who would make lite of the Constitution, and the enemies of the Country as a whole.
Andrew Johnson was hated for insisting on the Section 3, of the Amendment that the Congress was using to stop the Southern Politicians from seeking Office, ie Section 2.
We have it to use for the well being of the Country; but the Bad Actors will not cow to one voice on the Radio this time.

THIS is rich:

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida officials are reviewing allegations of voter registration fraud against the state Democratic Party.

The Florida Department of State on Friday confirmed that it has forwarded complaints about alleged voter registration fraud against the Democrats and two other groups to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. The groups are the Florida New Majority Education Fund and the National Council of La Raza/Democracia USA.

Neither state agency would comment on the extent of the allegations or on how many voter registration forms it involves.

A party spokeswoman said the Democrats were unaware of any complaints that they had registered someone who was ineligible. Spokesman Brannon Jordan said party volunteers go through extensive training.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement earlier this week launched an investigation into alleged fraud involving a company hired by the state's Republican Party."

Turned out the company hired by Republicans had ONE EMPLOYEE who MIGHT have screwed up on 60 registration forms....but the Republicans, when they found out, called for an investigation and asked that something like 160,000 registration cards or ballots (not sure) be counted so FLA voters could rest assured this was a drop in the bucket.
But the media mentions the Republican problem ....

Think we will EVER have a follow up on the allegations of fraud by Dems in FLA? ya, right.

Two days after the date is over Obama wants us to believe that what he is saying, is the truth,no matter how much of a stretch it is.
After his empty chair performance in the debate this past week, Obama just gets harder and harder to believe.. And to top that he and his minions offer 25 different and ridiculous excuses about why he acted as stupidly as he did, from the "High Altitude in Colorado, to the hard work that he had been doing that week, Yeah right!!!
.
We all know that the Obamboozler couldn't recognize the truth if it bit him in the backside. Now we see that it took him and a team of writers 14 hours to figure out what to say about it, as if he gets a "Do Over". Isn't it amazing how inept Obie really is when he can't use his teleprompter.. And faced with a real candidate who knows the real answers and someone that he can't bully .

Boy did Clint Eastwood get it right.

"THE POOR REPUBLICANS ARE WONDERING WHAT KIND OF LEADER THEY'RE VOTING FOR"

The media may have a point on this. After the extremely far left Tea Party "movement" worked so hard to give Obama a Congress he can ignore with impunity, and with far left blogs such as yours all claiming that Romney can be molded to your whims once he's elected, we do have to ask what sort of leader Romney is. Hear the screeching now - "Set aside your conservative values, your philosophical virtues, throw away everything thing you believe and work towards - and just vote for Romney because he's not Obama."

This is what happens when you turn CPAC into a gay orgy.

What kind of leader is Romney? Well, he's Obama with white skin and a bolder leftist agenda.

I'll pass.
