EVERYONE is complaining about the monthly premium cost of Obamacare--regardless if they're getting it on the state exchanges or the federal exchange.

I am another Coloradoan out of 250,000 of us that are getting the policies we liked CANCELLED. I was paying $238.00 per month for insurance. I am 60 years old and healthy, choose a 10K deductible to keep my premiums low. I don't paying for my own doctor's visits, or prescription medicine. I have a $2500.00 coverage for emergency room visits--and my physicals each year are paid for by the insurer. This is the Plan I liked and one that I could afford.

I went to my state Obamacare site--and my best choice was $495.00 per month with a 6K deductible.

That's almost twice the premium that I was paying. The deductible at 6K is still too high for what I am paying in a monthly premium.

Didn't the Dumbocrat in Chief promise that Obamacare would bring down the cost of healthcare? Oh wait, that's right, you also promised "if you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan"

Good News?....he only apparently promised it would keep costs down if you're not a hard working citizen. In that case, you're IN for it.
I'm sorry this has happened to you.
Not only do we feel lousy with the more expensive plans, but the care will be questionable, too.
My own doc said "Sure, Z, things will be fine...but I'll have 40,000 more patients to see." Sarcastically.

Z - I do think this is funny.

Complain, complain. You didn't read what you are getting with obamadoom. You will have maturity care which you didn't with your previous plan. See, that should make up the difference in premium.

The MSM is trying to spin that obummercare is great. They interviewed someone in California who loves obummercare. He was quoted $268 per month but after he got the government assistance his premium will be $63. And to say no one like obummerdoom.

And I will bet the taxpayers will not even get a thank you.

I am in the clutches of Medicare, and like everyone else, have few choices. As more doctors leave Medicare practice, and with Obama bleeding $700 Billion out of the system, rationing of care is a certainty, and the death panel will soon start deciding who lives and who dies.

But rationing has always been present.
The current system is overloaded for various reasons not the least of which is a bad diet unhealthy life style.

We are just arguing about rearranging the freaking chairs and deciding how far for profit insurers get to shove the plank up our butts.

Rationing has not always been present.
I personally have a plethora of doctors to choose from.
Under single payer that won't be true.
Health care is not an insurance card.
It's a doctor who has time for you.

Ducky's here said...

Yeah Ed, it's all about you.

Buy a vowel.

From Z of GeeeZ:

Ed, you're still paying for your own insurance, right? I agree about health care and insurance but, sadly, there are a lot of people who don't think a good doc/patient relationship is important and, truly, it's KEY.
I wish only the people who didn't find that important were the only ones who'd be suffering for thinking that. My own internist has never taken insurance I find him so wonderful it's worth it to me to pay about $125 per visit. He then suggests specialists if needed who DO take insurance.
Sadly, specialists are starting not to take insurance, too. It's getting a little worrisome.

Ducky, it's not 'all about Ed,' obviously. He's telling us HIS experience; you are often telling us yours. That's what commenting's all about.

Stop with the vowel line...it's demeaning and stupid and we like to be less unpleasant around here. Thanks.

Wingnuts love things like this that are blatant lies. They're so cute like that! Lol!

So much truth in such a simple graphic. And funny ... even to those of us who are laughing through tears of recognition of the ugly reality this Obamanation has foisted on us. In the final analysis, Ed is right: health care requires a doctor who has time for you.

PS. Just opened an insurance notice about how I will have "all the required benefits" in my 2014 plan (should I choose one) -- and a sign-up sheet for .... (wait for it) ... pediatric dental. PEDIATRIC DENTAL? You've got to be kidding me!

No matter that I have no insured children. Or that I would never buy dental for myself. (I know some do, but I find the coverage a waste of money - so CHOOSE to not buy that product.)

Gee, I liked my plan. I liked it fine without dental. Adult dental. Or pediatric dental. Like Good News?, it looks like all those thousands a year we'll pay for LESS coverage is just another hidden tax to subsidize somebody else.

I'd roll around naked in the dumpster behind the hospital before I'd put my information on that website.

This evil will get everyone's attention. If you're a taxpayer well enough off to earn the right to pay 3 or 4 times more than you were paying with a huge deductible, you're screwed.
If you're lucky enough that your income amount fits into the subsidy class, and you die after the age of 55, You will get to forfeit your entire estate to the government.

hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

It's gonna get you, one way or the other.
I hear the cast of The View will be the review board for the Boston Area. Your case will be reviewed Time Permitting. hahaaa

Add in that the good doctors are going to check out and you'll be waiting 12 hours to see docta Schanickwa. Come on back and tell us how great it was.

Not even a snowflake on the tip of the iceberg of this evil.

Lib"Mann"...but you NEVER ever tell us where we're WROOOONG :-)
Now THAT is funny!!
(and, by the way, the post is a cartoon...it's supposed to be funny. The only problem is it's got such truth in it)

Baysider, I got that , too...about 2 months ago...sort of like "your plan will be changing in January 2014...we'll tell you how then, but you'll LIKE it!"

Ya, we get to pay for pediatric dental care and single men get to pay for female problems...it's so stupid it's amazing.

Kid "Your case will be reviewed by TIME PERMITTING" Did you come up with that? It's SO GOOOOD! XX

This should warm your hearts:

President Barack Obama has commuted the sentences of eight individuals convicted of crack cocaine offenses.

In a statement, Obama said the commutation “is an important step toward restoring fundamental ideals of "justice and fairness” and noted that he signed legislation in 2010 to narrow the disparity between penalties for crimes related to powder ( which our "potus" prefers ) and crack cocaine.

Obama has pushed to change criminal justice policy to correct what his administration calls "unfairness" in sentencing.

Obama also called on Congress to pass pending legislation that would make the "Fair Sentencing Act" retroactive for some offenders.

The NAACP Legal Defense Fund praised the decision in a statement.

( The National Association for the Advancement of White People and the White American Legal Assistance Group had no comment for fear of being labeled racist and boycotted by Al Sharpton, Malik Shabazz, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, NPR and Jesses Jackson. )

In August, Attorney General Eric Holder directed federal prosecutors not to report the amount of drugs involved in an arrest if it would trigger mandatory minimums.

( Gee....that "My people stuff can be carried to the extreme, ya think? )

Not only is this regime lawless....it strives to make up it's own laws when it comes to..."minority" criminals.

Kind of makes me wonder if George Zimmerman would have received a "Fair" sentence had he been convicted of self defense?

Next on that list...knockout thugs?

Some might call you a racist for saying that. Me, I call you a REALIST for saying it.

I have a question. Since Harry Reid is getting a $10,000 subsidy for his Senate insurance, will I get the same? If my insurance costs $8,000, do I get to keep the extra $2,000?

WTF!!!??? Why do working Americans get the honor of subsidizing Harry for his insurance even if they make LESS than him and get NO subsidy for themselves, depending on their income?

Z said...

Ducky, it's not wrong that your FAMILY doesn't get the inheritance you worked hard to leave them?
Are you kidding? Or whereever YOU want YOUR MONEY to go?
WOW, does that say plenty.
No wonder America's floundering.

AVg American, I almost deleted that whole comment because of the remark you mention about the National Association.... but I realized the person's RIGHT. If this were on the other shoe..holy COW, would the left be SCREEEEEEECHING.

(AND get away with it, of course)

and, the answer is: Suddenly, the left's got this government so huge they don't even CARE about you. That's why

Liberalmann said...

That's why Obama has cut more government spending than Bush's record increases, eh?

ya, libdope, take a look at the defi cit, okay? :-)

Z, I think libdope is a put on. Just a little rock in the shoe of life.

But that reminds me. Detroit under democrat rule for over a Century. The evidence is easy to see and understand.
