Wise up!

Who's ONE POLITICIAN you would KEEP in D.C., and ONE POLITICIAN you'd definitely rid D.C. of?   (other than Obama)

Keep Peter King, get Rid of Reid, and PullOSea.

Just one?! Dang. Well, it would have to be either Harry Greed or Nazi Pelosi. Either one at the deepest, darkest part of the ocean would be a good start.

Thanks for popping by my blog! I do read you nearly every day and enjoy the posts, just seldom comment because I know you'd get tired of hearing "I agree". ~:)

Z - I'd keep John McCain. There are too many to name that I would get rid of.

JonBerg said...

Well, other than the most obvious one, Obama, who is excluded form this exercise, I'll focus on the next biggest problem, the Senate. Accordingly, I would rid DC of the vapid obstructionist, Harry Reid and retain the very promising Ted Cruz.

Tom Coburn is a keeper
Slimy Reid needs to go

Z said...

Anon; I've gone off Peter King a little, if you mean New York's King. And I really liked him.

Sparky, you can 'agree' any time :-)

Sue, good for you. I'm not at all a McCain fan, but I appreciate a liberal picking a so-called conservative. I'm with you on the 'get rid of' list.

JB...I think Harry Reid is the biggest problem, you're right...and Tom Cruz, once he describes in detail to the public what's up, will go far, I really do think so. Young people will hear and go for him.

Ducky...stop the 'mouth breather' stuff and NEVER again tell us we start the name calling and you just respond in (un)kind, okay? Let's grow up and stop the name calling and maybe we can actually talk here.

Skudrunner; I'm HUGELY fond of Tom Coburn. Good choices.

Hi, Angel...sorry I don't stop by as often; I will be these next couple of weeks I have OFF! Busy otherwise, but off from work!

But z, when I read the rantings of the likes of King, Gohmert or Cruz it's just so difficult.

Not that your conservative posters ever venture into the same area.
Double standard.

Z said...

Rita, exactly!

Jim...dreamer!

But, Ducky, I'm laughing here at the venues at which you get your 'news'..the 'rantings'...
Yes, I'm sure The Nation gives a fair and balanced overview, not at all along the lines of their leftwing ideologies :-)
Good try.

BY the way, if you mean conservatives don't look into leftwing 'rantings,' we don't have to; they're praised and lauded on most media venues. We have no choice.
We have to pay for PBS' Moyers, etc. How would you like to pay for Hannity? :)

I was just thinking about this again and thought I'd like Jay Carney to go; only to see another boob have to stick up for the Obama debacles. Sounds mean, I know, but it could be fun :-)

Also, did you all know that Susan Rice was on Sixty Minutes last night and was asked about how she'd told the world that the Benghazi killings were due to what she called, basically, the 'horrible, terrible' video against islamists?

I was wondering, too, if she thinks the myriad of murders of Christians around the world, picking up every day, is as horrible or terrible? Do they stack up to the video against islam?

Who to vote off of the island?

The list is long and distinguished....Pelosi, Gohmert, Grijalva, Boxer, Lee, McKeon....

How about "all of the above"?

Maybe I'd keep Coburn and McClintock.

Ed Bonderenka said...

With Obama out of consideration (ignore Biden) then all you have left are Congresscritters to choose from.
Unless you define the highly politicized Supreme Court as politicians.
They set policy.
In with Alito (or Scalia).
Out with Ginsberg (after the next repub get elected prez).

Z said...

Ed,,,GREAT point about the Supreme Court Justices...amen to that, brother.

CI...Mike Lee, or SHirley Jackson Lee??

See y'all later...a couple of hours.

I'd keep both Reid and McConnell... they are mirrored opposites of the same take no prisoners mold...

I'd 86 Bachmann... but I guess she is leaving in January anyway of her own choice.

Ducky's here said...

The good news, Dave, is that Bachmann is calling it quits after this term.

Surprised that Ginsberg, one of the most cautious justices and least likely to violate stare decisis is picked over a mediocrity like Thomas.

Of course if you asked the right to demonstrate that the current court is "liberal" about the only reply you'd get is that Roe hasn't been overturned. Otherwise it's gone their way and they still aren't satisfied.

The reason is that what they really want is to be angry. You can give them all they want and they'd still be angry.

That said, I can't believe there aren't more votes for Feinstein.

Constitutional Insurgent said...

Z - Sorry.....so many Lee's....

Keep all the right wing loons, they're ensuring the GOP will not take the WH for the next 25 years!

But in the meantime, the middle class suffers with their filibusters to impede economic progress.

Ducky's here said...

But Liberalmann, z says we're frightened of Ted Cruz.

Z said...

Oh, and I do think you should be, Ducky.
Not EVERY venue of news comes from your leftwing information.

Maybe not Cruz, but some Republican WILL be articulate and combat the lies about Conservatives:

-to not want amnesty does NOT mean we hate nonAmericans

-to be against the ACA does NOT mean we hate Obama or the sick

-to be pro traditional marriage in no way means we hate gays

-to want to fight islamist fundamentalist terrorism does NOT mean we hate all muslims

etc etc.

As for Ginsberg; are you mature enough to understand you like her better than Thomas because she echoes your leftwing lunacy?

Liberalmann; pssst! Don't look now, but most of us here ARE middle class. See, we just don't agree with YOU, but we are for America and the constitution. I know, for you that's a stretch. Try HARD.

Bachman; not my favorite. But for people to champion people like Boxer and Shirley Jackson Lee and Wasserman and slam Bachman? :-)

Meanwhile, leftwinger Charlie Sheen calls Phil Robertson "abhorrently and MENDACIOUSLY unforgivable!" MENDACIOUSLY UNFORGIVABLE? Does he even know what mendacious MEANS?
you've gotta love it. Here's a tweet:

Charlie Sheen ✔ @charliesheen
Follow

I came up with a PERFECT holiday idea! Denise and Phil Robertson should get married! then he can practice the Bestiality he hates! c :) (end of Tweet)

Does Sheen mean Denise, his ex wife should have bestiality practiced on her? WHY do some on the left go to this point of disgusting and few of us hear about it?
Oh, wait! He doesn't represent ALL Leftwingers, right? So why does Phil Robertson get treated as though he represents all of US?

And, also, Greta Van Susternan is said to have "savaged" Obama by saying his last press conference of the year was dull and lackluster, that he'd lost the ability to inspire. Have you EVER heard Yahoo writers say anybody "savaged" George Bush? Ya, I didn't think so.

Ed, as I've been sparring here with Ducky, I couldn't help but think that.
I'm so sick of the nastiness and find myself buying into it a little too much lately.

There's a marvelous film called Joyeux Noel...about the WWI battle where the French, Germans and Brits all came together and put their guns down, had a rip snortin' Christmas Eve, and then went back to their bunkers again...it's really so beautiful.
There are many true stories of soldiers putting aside the bitterness on Christmas and then resuming fighting again.

Thanks for the reminder.

Christmas sales at stores have fallen for the third consecutive week as Americans continue to hold back on spending during what is traditionally the busiest buying period of the year.

Looking over the same ShopperTrak data added that "store traffic in the final week before Christmas posted the third straight week of double-digit declines."

Neither noted that combination of much lower traffic and relatively slight sales declines appears to indicate that the well-off are splurging, while many families of average means are AWOL."

And next year with "Obummer care" depleting middle class savings and bank accounts even further...we might as well cancel Christmas for 2014. Obullshit's plan is working out flawlessly.

Yes he is widely considered a mediocrity.
He feels this is due to the perception of him as being an affirmative action appointment.
He simply cannot accept that the fault isn't affirmative action but his in fact mediocrity.

He never questions from the bench. Rarely writes the lead opinion.

He's a mediocrity.

Racism would be saying the dumb schmuck is there just to to run out and get "Tough Tony" Scalia a double decaffe latte.

No, but I kind of doubt it.

I have heard that Duck Dynasty merchandise is flying off the shelves and Phil is all set to return for the new season with an audience that is more enthusiastic than ever.

This was as brilliant as New Coke.

Worse is the only condition that will force the changes necessary to wipe the memory of Barack Obama from the National Conscious.

Ducky said, "This was as brilliant as New Coke."

I don't know if you remember the details behind New Coke, but the Coca Cola people were being shredded in the market by Pepsi, and their taste-test marketing campaign. Most people that took the taste test said that Pepsi tasted better. I was in grad school at the time, and some of our marketing class took the test. It worked out that Pepsi tasted better!

Coca Cola was trying to come up with something that tasted as good as Pepsi in a taste contest, and they wound up with New Coke, which tasted like a flat Pepsi.

However, a flat Pepsi doesn't taste as good as a regular Pepsi which has a bit more sugar and more caffeine as Coca Cola. When they announced they were taking the old Coca Cola off the market, the idiots that drank a six pack of Coke everyday revolted.

Coca Cola has never tasted as good as Pepsi, but you can't get people to admit that. Here in Atlanta, I will order a a Diet Coke, but on occasion will order a Diet Pepsi which is better tasting than a Coca Cola.

Somehow this doesn't make sense when looking at the market shares, but that's how it is. I like Pepsi but will order Coke like most folks.

And then they brought back Coke Classic which gained a lot of share after the "controversy".

It was planned beautifully.

A&E knew Phil was a loose cannon and also played this.
It's all a cynical play of the suckers to gain more share.

Duck, how do ya feel about Sotomeyer ? 65% of her opinions sent to the SC were overturned. There's some real genius for ya.

Z said...

Twitter IS doing that.....this fact doesn't need your approval, Ducky,

As for Thomas; he is an amazing man of dignity and character and I highly recommend his book. We can all learn a lot from him. I've believed it should be required in public schools since I read it.
Ginsberg falls asleep at the job and we're insulting Thomas?

Imp; such a good point. I'd say Sharpton's not man enough to shine Thomas' shoes, but we have to be so politically correct that someone will call me racist. Still, it's absolutely true.

Bob, funny you'd mention Coke...I never have regular Cokes and did the other day, versus Diet, and was amazed at how delicious it was. Not the biggest Pepsi fan, myself. But, boy...when you haven't had regular Coke for a while, only Diet Coke, a REAL Coke is FANTASTIC!

Kid said...

Bob, Given the choice, I'll order a Heineken ;)

Bob said...

Ducky said, "It was planned beautifully".

I hate to tell you, Ducky, that Coca Cola did not plan things that way. They took a huge risk with the new product, and when it looked like it was loosing, they spent millions in reinstating the old product. There were not smart enough to anticipate what happened.

It is easy for conspiracy theorists to jump off the deep end with stuff like New Coke, and the Phil Robertson thing. I have worked in corporate marketing, and I will tell you that their strategic plans are far from all seeing and understanding.

Usually, things area what they seem, and in the case of Duck Dynasty, A&E just dropped the ball and didn't pay attention to old Phil.

Take a look at Cracker Barrel. They had problems back in the 1990's when they were accused of firing all the gay waiters in the Atlanta area. They got so much grief that when the Phil Robertson thing broke, they surrendered without a comment. Of course, they were quick to recognize that their primary customer base were rednecks like me, and the Robertsons.

Z said...

Kid, good point about the two women justices you mention; they're sure not heavyweights.

Poor Thomas; a Conservative black man will get HELL from liberals every time; again, they just can't STAND anybody who's 'supposed' to be on their side NOT on their side. pathetic, really.

HERE is the Twitter piece; has to come from England and conservative American bloggers, of course:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2528772/Phil-Robertson-Twitter-BLOCKS-users-linking-pro-Phil-Robertson-website-Duck-Dynasty-stars-gay-slurs-spark-outrage.html

I wonder if he'd have got this kind of interest in the media if he'd spewed approval of income redistribution? They'd have probably suddenly held him up as their hero.

I can't look at those guys and not start singing "She's got legs.." :)'

BY THE WAY: this is HILARIOUS! Did you know that's Obama's next big thing to solve; income inequality? "This is the biggest problem in America!" as if it IS a solvable thing? Who EVER thought that? He's getting more and more like Kim Jung Il, I swear.
What an immature dope; he sure does know how to get votes and ruin a country in the meantime, doesn't he?

Liberals, while some may be chronologically , educationally and intellectually advanced have a couple of things in common, an extreme lack of maturity and a modicum of common sense.
