Sunday Faith Blog

Please pray today, maybe right now, for someone, just one person, who you know needs a prayer.  That’s it.  That’s my blog today.

“If Jesus needed to pray - being what He was, how must we need it - being what we are.”
—James Stalker

Have a Sunday with prayer today!

Z - That's a good suggestion - to pray for one person right away that you know needs it. You can pray anytime and anywhere no matter what you are doing. When you have any down time you can spend it praying. I find that it works well - to pray anytime.

Have a good Sunday - Z.

Sue, I figured even people who don't pray much, believers and non believers, had time for one quick one. It's like chicken soup: "It can't hurt!"

As far as Paul is concerned, it reminds me that some people wear that WHAT WOULD JESUS DO bracelet. I always suggest it'd be a little easier to aspire to Paul than Jesus :-)

thanks, Woman Honor Thyself...am finally on my new computer and will be coming to comment more...

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. - Ephesians 6:12

let's pray about that, too, Thersites!
That particular quote could be translated to the earthly realm, too, couldn't it :-)

As far as "ideologies" go, it translates very well to the earthly realm.

Paul certainly knew what he was up against... (Ephesians 13-20)

13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Nothing gives me so much peace as The Lord's prayer.
