Barbara Walters has a new special tonight...

Barbara Walters was on one of the morning shows today talking about her latest special:

WHAT IS A MAN? WHAT IS A WOMAN?

Yes, that's the title. This is because she's featuring the PREGNANT MAN, who, it appears, is pregnant again. (a Walters scoop, isn't that marvelous for Barbara!?)
Barbara mentions that we'll see the happy couple at home and "we'll talk about how they make love.." and, of course, "....we didn't do this to be sensational......."

We understand. And, don't worry, Barbara, maybe you'll have done enough in this regard, airing this type of 'unsensational' show, that it truly won't be 'sensational' in five years. THEN what will you feature? (That she can keep a straight face through her words has always been an amusement to me...she's quite the show woman, isn't she?$$$)

By the way, the pregnant father was born a woman, kept the parts necessary for child rearing, and is now referrred to these people as a MAN because he sports a mustache, has shortish hair, and has no breasts? really? Oh, and as Barbara points out "he also had emotional counseling..." so NOW he's a man. Ah hah.

With stories like MEN having BABIES, and GAYS MARRYING....some people think society will be strengthened. What do you think this does to society, and when it's in full gear (and it will be), are we better off for it? Are our children healthier? Are all those things which contributed to societal 'balance' all these 2000 years really so unnecessary?

I'm fascinated by this. OH, after I saw Barbara on TV, I switched to The Today Show and Tyra Banks was discussing how terrible it is that so many teenaged girls are having sex and the diseases they're getting "because they don't have protected sex!" Here's a woman who's had whole shows on sexy lingerie, how best to please a man (hint; it's not 'through his stomach' like we were taught!), etc.etc.......and her reason for children having sex is THE PARENTS! Rachael Ray's show, months ago, had a woman from the audience who'd been recently divorced and has a teen aged daughter, posing in very sexy lingerie on the stage to show that she can still be attractive to men "this will help her feel confident, and you never KNOW when you'll meet someone, got to have sexy underwear on!"

How can we blame our kids? What now? Oh, something new I just heard: Seattle's parks are refusing to ban public nudity. Ya, barbecue with your kids, go for a swim, just know strangers will be naked around you.......just like puppies, aren't they? Puppies aren't particularly sacred, either.

And we sing "God Bless America." We need to pray to God to have mercy on us.

Barbara Walters should have quit a long time ago when there was still some credibility. I'm thinking strongly about having my cable disconnected! The new Victori*'s Secret commercial is on at all hours. I'm glad I have no young children in my home. I believe it wuold have to go for sure.

But we're not fighting! Our kids are buying the Victoria's Secret stuff, we're just falling for all of this..It's HOIST upon us "The people get what they ASK FOR" when WHO ASKED? There's a new TROJAN ad that has a "pleasurer"(my term) for women on, too! I think I mentioned that here recently..I honestly thought it was a lousy SNL comedy routine showing the absurdity of our culture today...but it was REAL!

When did, suddenly, young girls feel the need to have oral sex with young boys? At twelve. WHY? What's changed? Something in the water?

I'll be blogging on this soon...WHAT happened?

If you have two X Chromosomes you are a woman. End of Discussion.

If you have an X and Y Chromosome you are a man. End of Discussion.

If you are unfortunate enough have a 3rd combo ie xxy or xxx then and only then is your gender in doubt. Such situations have happened but they are rare and I doubt if this person is such a combo.

Allowing daughters in their early teens to be provocative to adult men is irresponsible in the extreme. Yes there are 13 and 14 year old girls who can turn the head of an adult man, but this is certainly not to be encouraged. Part of the problem is that too many adults are not being taught and emotionally trained to be protective toward young people and are being allowed to be exploitative instead.

The results? Look at what happened to all those teen aged sex symbols (underage hotties) from 10 years ago. Britney Spears may be the most visibly messed up, but they are all emotionally scarred. I pity Miley Cyrus as well because that poor kid, in spite of her wealth, is going to wind up the same way.

Who do you blame? The parents who live through the child? The promoters and directors who profit of from it? The undisciplined cretins who enjoy it? The education system that refuses to recognize the practical importance of morality and abstinence? They are all to blame.

What about XXY. shoprat?

Oh it occurs. Nature is never as simple as we wish to believe.

Just described half the members of Code Pink, try to call them men and see what happens!!

But we've always had child stars, shoprat. Remember Annette?

What's changed is the content and it is going to be tough to put that back in the bottle.

Reminds me of the old carney freak show... "Step right up. See the bearded lady... gaze at the monkey boy... gasp at the elephant man... just $.05!"

oh as for tyra. oiy! don't even get me started talking about that clown.

first off I mentioned the XXY as an exception to the rule in the third paragraph in my first comment.

Secondly, let's go with two teen starlets who were popular when I was a teenager. Let's try Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady) and Valerie Bertinelli (Barbara from One Day at a Time). A lot of guys who were teenagers had crushes on these two girls (I favored Valerie myself). Now how many intentionally provocative and scantily clad pictures of these two little foxes were released to the general public? I never saw any. They had problems and were exploited but not to anywhere near the same degree. Marie Osmond was also in the same time frame, was a major fox, yet she always, if anything, overdressed. The first one that I can remember was when Brook Shields appeared scantily clad in Playboy when she was 12 or 13 and it touched off such a firestorm of outrage that even Playboy did not repeat it.

For the sake of these kids we need to find a way to get that genie back in the bottle.

Sheesh. This DUDE is not a man having a baby, she's a woman with a serious psychological disorder!

Walters is, like so many of her ilk, a modern-day freak show hocker.

Misfit...hilarious and TRUE.

I just don't know what we can do about things like this....

WHAT HAPPENED? Guess. IS it the water? Suddenly a TWELVE YEAR old wants to have sex with a fourteen year old guy (OR GIRL?) Funny, I knew one lesbian back while I was in college and yet my girlfriend's teen was sent to a boarding school 10 years ago in the Midwest and came back a lesbian, saying "Mom..EVERY girl tried it in our dorm.."

"EVERY girl?"
One thing we know for sure: It's not the girl. People don't change from one generation to another.

SO, what is it that's creating this phenomenon of young sex, gay sex, etc.?:

Is it that they have tacit permission because it's all over television and film? Let's face it, MOST kids think having sex on the first or second date's FINE because that's all they know these days...they can't figure OUT the criticism! We blame the kids but it dawned on me recently, they really DON'T KNOW differently..

Is it because our schools teach TOLERANCE above all?

Is it parents who aren't guiding their kids?

Like Dennis Prager says "Boys just want to have sex. period. Girls want love, touching, holding." So, when that San Francisco teacher insisted her 10 yr old students all had to come see her lesbian wedding (you heard about that, right?), was that message not loud and clear to little girls? "I can get love and affection and MARRY a GIRL, too, for that!"

Are we toying with their heads? Is the hypothesis that many of the great looking HOllywood types like Cary Grant were gay or bi because they'd HAD sex with so many women, so many ways, so much that it wasn't exciting anymore true? Are we doing THAT to OUR kids now, too? By sixteen, they've DONE it...BEEEN there.

I know plenty of kids who are 20 and already in drug and alcohol rehab...AT TWENTY? REHAB? When we were kids, we hadn't had TIME to get addicted to booze at 20, right?

We have to figure out a way to get the toothpaste back into the tube or we're in SERIOUS trouble.

And, working against leftists who put freedom and 'acting out' and 'their rights' first is pretty daunting a task.

Good grief where do we start? In the first place, this person having a baby is a fraud. She knows she has female "plumbing".

You can put lipstick (or a beard) on a pig but it's still a pig! Hmmmm I think I heard that very phrase somewhere recently.

It's not nice to fool mother nature.

Barbara Walters is no different than a carnival barker, hosting a side show. She must be desperate.

Ducky- an occasional aberration of nature does not warrant celebration, or an all out acceptance by society as normal, or to skew abnormal as normal, just because it makes some people feel good. We can feel sorry for them but we should not teach that it's normal. It's not.

Yes we've always had child stars, Shirley Temple, Margaret O'Brien, Natale Wood, etc. I don't remember them doing the bump and grind.
For the most part though, it's not proven for most of them to have been the healthiest way to grow up. Their parents profited off their young children and there are many examples of those kids growing up to have severe problems.

Child stars have parents. Today's child stars seem to be have parents who are willing for their children to do anything to remain stars. Sad. ---

Then of course you have parents today who see nothing wrong with their little ones mimicking these unhealthy role models.

That's where the problem is. These parents are little more than children themselves.

They've forgotten how to be authoratative, and take a hands off approach as if their children can raise themselves. They can't.

Finally, sex education should be removed from school curriculuns. Period.

Why is this even news? If Baba Wawa was 1/8 of the journalist she's touted to be, she'd arrive at the same conclusion.

This is a disturbed woman who has fallen prey to the "Look at me" culture. And so has the pregnant woman who thinks she's a man.

This whole cultural rot thing makes me want to hurl! Hoe disgusting.

Poor woman. She's a picture of what happens to the soul when God is absent. Unfortunately America is becoming that as well. We believers are largely to blame since we fail to let Christ live His Life through us & make the world thirsty for Him.

The man having the baby is a woman who took male hormones. The rest of the equipment obviously works just fine. What a twisted situation. And that poor kid! Having daddy explain how "he" birthed the little darling. That child will need a helluva lot of therapy.

Pris, the XXY situation is not an occasional aberration and these people deserve no less respect than anyone else. Of course when things don't quite fit in your little "value life" universe the hypocrisy is immediately evident.

Actually I haven't seen a whole lot of "bump and grind" out of Hannah Montana and Lindsay Lohan, but my sample is small. Lohan is actually talented if I use her performance in Bobby Altman's "Prairie Home Companion" as a guide. Her vamp on "Frankie and Johnny" is pretty good.

Also we don't have publicist shielding everyone from "secrets". Ever seen a news clip of an interviewer asking Liberace why he wasn't married, "Well, I'd like to marry but I just haven't met the right girl". Then there's Rock Hudson.
That kind of control is impossible in this media age. The issue is the technology. The content was always there but there is just so much of it and you can make a pile of money with virtually no production costs.

Cary Grant was gay / bi??

Dang.

I told you I know NOTHING about celebs! ;-)

Z, I think it all starts in the family. Teach your kids what you believe, how to treat people, and they'll remember it. They will probably rebel at some point (which is natural) but they'll remember what they were taught.

Anonymous said...

Ducky, in the first place, I didn't say anything about respect or lack of it. I said an occasional abberation shouldn't be celebrated.

However, if someone seeks celebrity because she's outside the norm, and a fraud, what does she expect? Are we supposed to swoon and say isn't that swell?

As far as Liberace and Rock Hudson were concerned, they deserved to have their private lives. It was nobody's business but their own.

The media today is no different than the tabloids. That is what deserves less respect. They care not how many lives they ruin in their quest of sensationalism.

My value life as you put it, is just fine thank you. I mind my own business and have a live and let live attitude. And no "pile of money" could get me to traffic in other people's personal lives.

I just don't like to see seedy sensationalist crap passed off as something special or as entertainment.

All I'm asking for is a little beauty and grace before we forget what it is, and for the sake of the children.
