Justice Ginsburg has pancreatic cancer..

It is caught at an 'early stage'.

From the article linked above: "She is a liberal-leaning justice who has been vocal in recent years about the court's more conservative stance."

Which "more conservative stance" would that be? Constitutional? Can Obama appoint a MORE liberal judge?

It's a very difficult, dangerous disease, and I do wish her well.

I suspect she'll resign from the bench soon.

Remember, Orrin Hatch recommended her as a nominee.

She has a deep respect for stare decisis and was very careful about overturning precedent. Quite frankly, the antithesis of an activist judge like Clarence Thomas who will ignore precedent and vote his prejudice at the drop of a dime.

Ducky this stupid wench was a supporter of NAMBLA, she is the most activist judge the world has ever seen. But in your screwed up world porking boys is only wrong when someone religious does it.

Let's see where Clarence Thomas voted his prejudice, Ducky..thanks.

I have no problem with a strict constructionist; to believe Ginsburg was is foolish. Good for Orin, i wonder what that was payback for.

NAMBLA, exactly, Misfit; I forgot that. That MUST be SOMEWHERE in the constitution, huh? "The right for men to 'do' boys"
MAN, you are SO right..what a comment.

My guess is this has been known since before the election.

Cancer is a tragic illness, and I wish her the very best.

Of course now we are going to ask Misfit to define "activist judge".

We know it means a judge whose rulings you don't agree with. That's usually iced over with some incoherent mumblings about the constitution as if you have some rudimentary training in constitutional law.

Misfit you are probably referring to her writing in "Sex Bias in the U.S. Code". If you actually read the document you may gain a more factual understanding.

Christian Soldier, thanks! It'll be fun..it's my second time, and THIS time, I'm quite calm about it. Last time, I thought they'd find me dead with the phone in my hand and wonder what bad news I'd rec'd!!! I'll be happy you're there..pray I do well, okay!? 'Always' and 'WC' make it very comfortable, I just like saying something that people can use...

Tony C...you know, I'm starting to believe things like you said...something's just TOO DARNED ODD. I think I'll be writing a list of the amazing things that have happened in just two weeks...all for the worse

Pancreatic cancer is so horrible. There was an article in our local paper the other day who was diagnosed early with pancreatic cancer, and she has been given a clean bill of health...for now anyway.

Misfit410 said...

Ducky she was doing legal work for NAMBLA while she was still with the ACLU, maybe if you got your head out of your darling ducky poopshoot for 5 minutes and stopped trying to support every whackjob on your side of the fence.. I mean I'm sure the KKK hates Obama as much as I do just for different reasons.. I'm not about to take their to their defense.

Misfit410 said...

Let me expand on that for a moment, Ducky.. one's political leanings does not determine one to be an "Activist Judge", what does is using that post against it's intended design to further the cause of your political leanings, this is something Ginsburg has done, and Thomas has not.

Judges are not meant to make laws or policy, but since the laws and policy they continue to make fit your own agenda, I wonder why you have no issue with it?

I hope she beats the cancer, for her sake and ours. I'd rather see her leave the SCOTUS during a Republican administration than now. Fire away Duckster. HAHAHAHA

Misfit, you are wrong as usual. The NAMBLA flap was this, a child was killed by a pedophile and NAMBLA was named in a wrongful death suit because the man had once viewed their website.

The ACLU was part of NAMBLA's defense team.

Now why an organization should not receive representation in what is a speech case isn't clear to me. I know that you and z will argue something about the constitution but I seem to remember speech as part of the document.
I don't know that being an odious organization is constitutional grounds to deny speech but the right does make these things up as they go along.

Now let's review.

Ruth Ginsberg has decided to overturn precedent the least of any judge on the court. I say that is not the mark of an activist.

The fact that her rulings may support what you think is a "liberal" position doesn't do squat to address the merit of her rulings.

Misfit410 said...

1) in the case you mention publications from NAMBLA were found in the residence on the killers that outlined a full plot of how to court a child, seduce said child and even how to go about hiding the body if things go bad.. free speech? my ass

2) Again you are completely ignoring the fact they are constantly overturning the will of the people to support their own beliefs, and also making law where it's not their place to do so.. she is at the forefront of this abomination.

The simple fact that she voted against our Constitution that gives us gun rights is enough wrong for me. By not upholding the 2nd amendment she was ruling by politics and not by constitutional interpretation. Of course the trick for Obama will be finding someone this far left that has actually paid their taxes.

Are you going to clue us to the time of this this upcoming radio broadcast Z?

hey if his nominations keep this up we won't have to get a stimulus package we just ask them to pay for all their back taxes

I wish her well and applaud her selfless service to country.

Z said...

FJ....do you know her stand on NAMBLA?

And I hope you didn't think anybody here doesn't wish her good health!?

Z said...

Elbro...REALLY good one!

Anonymous said...

No, I don't know anything about her NAMBLA advocacy. I just know that I wouldn't wish pancreatic cancer on anyone, even the "loyal" opposition.

Z said...

Ducky, is that what NAMBLA is? A LIBERAL CAUSE? Thanks.

FJ..MY GOSH....ALL of us have said that ...My post says that..nobody wishes her ill....of course not!!

Papa Frank said...

Once again FJ shows us the correct path and teaches those who will listen. Thank you Farmer.

Z said...

Papa, I'm very sorry, but could anybody show me where somebody wished Ginsberg ill?

I didn't, I've not seen it....I don't understand. Of COURSE we wish her well.

Papa Frank said...

My apologies, friend. I was commenting towards Farmer as he had the response that should have been in my heart. I commented at the same time as you and so my comment looks as if it was in response to your comment but it was actually just in response to Farmers comment as compared to my own. I did not intend for you to feel that I thought you were wishing her ill or that I was choosing Farmer's "side". I'm sure his comments are not meant against you but rather are comments that display his own good heart.

Z said...

Thanks, Pops.
I guess I was overly sensitive because I SO want this blog to always take the high side and I'd NEVER slam someone who's ill. EVER.
I just had a brush with something pretty serious and it helps us be even more sensitive to fear! All's well now..I hope!

Farmer and you are right. The Justice deserves our prayers for her rapid return to good health and praise be to God that they caught this very early..better recovery changes. I hope so.

I pray for full recovery as well, and this is another area Z I'm going to need your insight in, ok?

Blessings.

FJ, thanks...I was overly sensitive yesterday. I remember the terrible anti-Tony Snow comments at the liberal sites when he was sick and then died, and the death wishes toward Dick Cheney every time he had a heart problem...and I've not seen that on Conservative sites and so I didn't want anything said about Ginsberg here to reflect on her personally ....

I.H.S...let me know ...!

DaBlade said...

I "HOPE" she fully recovers and enjoys more than 4 long years of health (but less than 8, safely assuming a Republican will follow this one-term loser).
