Ours, a Sheltie named Rush. Do you love it? Ha,Ha.
Ours isn't manic, and he's very intelligent and loyal too. He's 14 and 1/2, arthritic, and we know it's just a matter of time now.
It's hard, seeing him decline. But, he's a fighter and has his spirit still.
Dogs really are the best, aren't they? We wouldn't be without one. Or sometimes two.
I'm sure Harry is special as well.

AOW, the great Harry Callahan passed a while back.
He is missed. One of the most useless animals imaginable but the most good natured slob you can imagine.
I'll get another as some point but he was a great friend.
My son went that one to me last week, along with another of a man who has a huge 'gator for a friend. He befriended the 'gator years ago when it was injured, so now they are best buddies. Amazing! Either that, or the 'gator is fattening him up for dinner.

It does take a little time, but after a while it's good to have another in your home. It helps a lot.
