I'm back in town....

Thanks for all your terrific comments on my last post.
I thought I'd share what I just heard en route to LA from Salt Lake City on Delta:
Just before landing, the Captain came on and said "
Ladies and Gentlemen, thanks so much for flying with us today, we wish you a good afternoon. Just one more thing...Before you leave the plane, please make sure you ladies wipe off any lipstick from your plastic cups before you give them back to our flight attendants so we can use them again!" First, there was silence, then a burst of laughter! But...it got me thinking how even the pilots must feel about the cutbacks, etc! Cute, though, huh?

Welcome back Z!

How funny. I hope they wash those cups! Hmmmm, if they wash them, why would you have to wipe off the lipstick?

If they don't, I'm not sure I'd ask for a drink.

Thanks, Jen...

Pris, of course the cups are plastic and they throw them away but he sure got a laugh. Just think how embarrassed even the pilots must be that all you get these days is a lousy cup of soda and six peanuts in a tiny tinfoil bag!! xxx

Too funny, The best would be "The last person on the plane will have to clean."

Welcome back. I've been absent from the blog b/c too much work. And I was with my mom in SF too. Can't wait for our dinner at the end of the month.

Welcome back.

The last time I flew, my bag only had five peanuts!

z - Good to have you back. I'm flying next Friday so it will be interesting to see if there are any changes from last time.

Ms. Z....I'd take your cup home with me!

And treasure it.

thanks, everybody, for your welcomes back and for appreciating the Delta pilot's humor!

Anonymous, my cup runneth over! Thanks!

Chuck, funny you should say that. The main flight attendant was THE most effeminate guy I've probably ever seen even all the times I've flown!

Joe, stick with me, I'll get you an extra peanut.

David, that's the nicest blog compliment I've probably ever rec'd.THANKS
