Allen West's situation....We have GOT to stop the left's behavior...and soon

Greetings Patriot,

How would you feel if you arrived home after work only to hear your two teenage daughters describe the mailing your family received, publicly disclosing your Social Security number? And imagine your disgust when you discover the same mailing had just been sent to thousands of homes across Broward and Palm Beach Counties?

Well, that just happened to me on Friday evening.

Incumbent Ron Klein has just sunk to an unprecedented new low in American politics. Klein has sent my social security number to voters all across Florida's 22nd Congressional District.

I understand politics is a tough business. I expect to be challenged about my ideas, my beliefs.

But Ron Klein has clearly crossed a line. Our lawyers are reviewing what legal action is available to my family.

I'm not yet sure the potential damage that might come to my wife and me.

And it makes me sick to think of what could happen to my daughters.

South Florida has the highest number of incidents of identity theft in the country - my entire family is now at risk of having our identities stolen. So we now have to start the long, complicated, drawn-out process of requesting new Social Security numbers, and all the troubles that come with that.

His type of politics must end now. If Ron Klein and his Liberal cronies will do this to me and my family, what will they do to each of you?

This is a despicable act by a desperate politician who is in danger of losing his job.

I have longed believed that the liberals would do anything just to stay in power. But never in my wildest dreams did I believe they would stoop this low.

Klein has once again aroused my competitive spirit. I am more determined than ever to spread the word of our cause to restore character, honor and integrity to Congress.

Will you redouble your efforts as well? Let's show Ron Klein his below the belt political smears have no place in America.

Help deliver our message of limited government, lower taxes and a strong national defense by donating to our cause. If you can afford $22, $50, $100, or even $250, we can get our message across to the voters that Ron Klein's career must end.

I'm ready to fight. Join with us to ensure integrity is returned to politics in America.

Steadfast and Loyal,
West signature
LTC(R) Allen B. West

PLEASE SEND MONEY TO LTC ALLEN B WEST!!!

Great fund raising idea.

Time to find out who really sent the original letter.

I have been donating to West, and will continue to do so. This activity from Klein will boost the amount of my contribution.

I would think that what Klein has done must be illegal somehow. The first time that SS no. is used fraudulently, it rests on Klein's doorstep.

As far as I can see, Klein's brought himself a heap of trouble. I hope so. I'm so sick of these losers, who can't accept the results of their own actions.

Ducky, I hope you've researched Allen West; he has a dignity and fine character and love for this country which would preclude him from.........oh, wait, maybe that's what compelled you to insult him..sorry, I forgot.
Do the homework; you'll be sadly disappointed in your party. Oh, wait..no, you probably wouldn't be.
again, I forgot.

Thanks, Born Again (great poem at your place!! )

Pris, You'd think it's illegal but the media will barely cover it and Republicans back off....You know, we have a media now which didn't find it news worthy to discuss Castro's saying Communism didn't work in Cuba...I'd have thought that was fairly news worthy, didn't you?

The flier wasn't just sent from Klein's campaign, it was sent by the FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC PARTY.
That took me forever to download....good luck, maybe it'll be quicker when you try.

Z said...

Here's a bit from the article:

Florida Democratic Party spokesman Eric Jotkoff responded by accusing West of “paranoia” and adding: “After making every effort to remove all of Allen West’s private information, unlike West who refuses to apologize to Florida’s taxpayers for not paying his taxes and his bills, we apologize for the oversight of not redacting this information from the public record included in the mailer. To end, while this mail piece does not explicitly identify any Social Security number, in order to stop the crazy West accusations, we will pay for identify theft monitoring for the next two years.”

Apparently, the Klein campaign found some unpaid bills by West which haven't been explained away yet...see the whitewash they're doing? They didn't MEAN to include the SS# and, anyway, who recognizes a 9 digit number as a Social Sec. number, right? :-)
West is a really fine man...
They're complaining he didn't pay some bill but they honor a SEC OF THE TREASURY who didn't pay taxes...wow.

Everything the left does raises money for conservatives, Ducky. Don't you know that?

Bill Maher just did it too. So thanks to the left and their loser mentality. You people are so stupid. Why do you think you're in trouble? Panic is not pretty.

The story is coming out. The Florida Democratic Committee didn't redact West's SSN when they sent out a copy of the tax lien against him.

Anonymous said...

Thanks Z, this makes it worse. The dem party is so corrupt, they can't help themselves. Of course I guess we're supposed to pretend Klein knew nothing about this.

This news changes nothing about this scandal. The fact that the democrat party says they'll pay for any misuse of this, says volumes.

We all know about Florida democrats and how far they'll go to try and win. This is really ugly. They figure if this will work, it's worth any cost it may incur for the party.

It's down and dirty time folks, and the democrats are proving what scum they really are.

"The story is coming out. The Florida Democratic Committee didn't redact West's SSN when they sent out a copy of the tax lien against him."

Right Ducky, just an innocent oversight, right? And Klein knew nothing about it. They were busy redacting, and just MISSED THE SSno? Sure. They're covering their bases in preparation for a lawsuit against them. Wait for it.

Pris

Dave Miller said...

Interesting isn't it...

The Florida Democratic Party mistakenly includes the social security number of of a GOP member running for Congress.

Did they do it intentionally?

Who knows, but I tend to take the view that it was just an oversight and that they meant to redact, or edit out the SSN.

But I also choose to believe that Mr. West made an innocent mistake when he neglected to pay all of his taxes.

If we should believe that Mr. Klein is some sort of nefarious character because of this, should we not also think the same of Mr. West for his non-payment of taxes?

I won't say Democrats invented political dirty tricks, but they were certainly present during its first iteration. Coincidently, we hear the White House intends to increase the pressure on the GOP and TPOs. Could this be the first shot across the bow?

I actually think it works to the benefit of TPO candidates: they're just regular folks, not like the filth that is Nancy Pelosi and far too many to list here. Some comments here would appear to take issue with some things in O'Donnell's past ... as a high school student she hung around with idiots. First of all, only idiots go to high school; you can find that in the Constitution. Secondly, how does being a typical high school student compare to Barney Frank running a queer out-call service from his apartment?

Z said...

Mustang, good point about Frank, but nobody cares about that; As I've said, if it's a Democrat, it's just FINE, unless the Conservatives got the information first and make a big enough stink that the leftwing media HAS to address it.
When Castro disclaims COmmunism and our media essentially ignores it, you think there MIGHT be a problem in honesty? :-)
Maybe they just didn't want to hurt Michael Moore's feelings.

But, we have bigger problems now...we've got Michael Bloomberg cozying up to Harry Reid and Mike Castle ....Bloomberg's part of a fundraiser for Reid. It seems this "hate the Constitution and encourage nothing but big government and a citizenry with their palms perpetually out to the government teet" thing is really catching on.
Congratulations, Democrats..in six months, we won't even recognize America, or at least the one that was strong and vital.
What did Mr Z say?..."It looks like I came to a great country that's becoming like a Third World country". boy, he pinned it back then, he was a prophet. I argued with him until last year when I began to agree with him on this.....he saw better, I guess, as someone who CHOSE to live here, not someone handed it to them ...and not like the libs who had it handed to them and won't recognize what they had until it's over. Next year

Z, Bloomberg won't carry any weight in Nevada.

Yes, we have a fight on our hands. We had to expect this. But, if the best Harry Reid can do is get Bloom-the-mosque-berg, to campaign for him in Nevada, he's the idiot we thought he was.

Bloomberg's the perfect example of a phony, and even a phony Rino. He couldn't even pull that off. He and Specter ought to form their own party with Murkowski and Crist.

They could call it the "Hide and Seek Party".

People don't like or trust, sore losers or phonies.

Harry Reid couldn't be in more perfect company, it suits his comfort zone.

Z, I don't agree the nanny state is catching on. It's the side who has the momentum which will win. We've come too far, and we have the momentum.

Pris, I disagree. I emailed you that article telling America how many big money people are backing the Tea Party as if it's some SURPRISE! We all know that Obama's prepared Americans to despise anybody with over $250,000 and maligned Wall St , etc etc.
So, nobody looks into the huge money behind HIS campaign or the over one million he's spent keeping his birth certificate quiet, etc etc., and now Americans are only hearing about the TEA PARTY MONEY as if that's a big surprise? The Left's doing everything possible to undercut us and they'll probably make it...
Harry Reid's rising in the polls and it's not Bloomberg's NAME that's going to help but the MONEY they raise through the very very rich Bloomberg. One must ask what Bloomberg's interest in seeing the left ruin America is...

The Dems have been SHOWN to be richer than Reps, but Americans still hear the opposite. Obama's capitalizing on that...he's still in campaign mode and very effective.

I can't wait to see what the REAL October Surprise they'll pull will be....look what they did already to O'Donnell and that wasn't even something they could have planned much because it was such a coup that she won at all.

Chris Coons, O'Donnell's opponent in Nov wrote about his conversion to Marxism when he was 21, by the way...after a year in Kenya. Funny that our media's not letting THOSE words be used against him, huh? I guess we all know MARXIST isn't anathema to anything our media believes.

Was the New York Times lying when they reported Obama is declaring war against the Tea Party organizations? “Probably not,” said Bernie Goldberg. You know how ‘wink and nod’ politics works. So I ask again, was the assault on Allen West the first shot across the bow? West is trying to gain a seat in a predominantly democratic area of the state. While I think Christine O’Donnell has a better chance of election than Mr. West, my point is that no one in West’s 22nd Congressional District will think that what Ron Klein did was over stepping common decency. If you don’t believe me, just review anything Ducky has written here over the past three or more years —and show me one instance of common decency.

As a Nevadan, let me weigh in on Reid...

Nowhere will Nevada find a better Senator than they have in Harry Reid...

We kicked out Senator Howard Cannon many years back for another rookie by the name of Chic Hecht. he turned out to be terrible first termer.

Harry may not be perfect, and you all may hate him nationally, but since all politic is local, Harry is way better for Nevada than Sharon Angle will ever be for years to come.

After all, for a small state such as ours, to have the clout federally that Harry has is indispensable and everyone here knows it.

How else do you explain that almost every elected GOP state and local leader is endorsing him?

Dave, what's your unemployment rate in Nevada?

You think Harry Reid pronouncing the war in Iraq lost while our troops were putting their lives on the line was OK?

Do you ever consider what's good for America?

If it's so great in Nevada, why is Steve Wynn moving most of his operation outside America?

The fact that the elected Nevada GOP leaders support Reid doesn't impress me. They'll do whatever they think is best for them.

A little grease in the "right" places does wonders.

I'm interested in how you benefit as an American, with Harry Reid in the Senate.

I see him as Nevada's Barbara Boxer. I'm a Californian who has no loyalty to Boxer whatsoever, so tell me, what is it about a dim bulb like Reid, that's so beneficial.

This time around Dave, all politics is national. We have a thugocracy in the WH. Harry Reid is nothing more than a rubber stamp for the left.

I know a lot of her positions, no social security, no dept, of education, no interviews with the "Liberal Las Vegas Media," moms need to stay home and not work and people on unemployment are spoiled are popular with Tea Party Supporters, but I don't see that as quite enough to get her over the hump.

Maybe at first. The first wave of Baby Boomer retirements began in 2008, starting the collapse of the Ponzi scheme that will avalanche to full default on obligations as more and more Baby Boomers retire in following years. Social Security will be completely broke and running on debt alone well before the year 2040 when I'll be thinking about retirement.

So, I propose an alternative solution.

When Granny comes crying that her SSI check barely pays the cover charge at the door down at the bingo hall, kick her in the face and tell her to go knock on Franklin Roosevelt's tomb for Social Security. He promised my money to her, I didn't.

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

Is collapsing. Has collapsed.

Warnings of Social Security's imminent default have been bucked and ignored by the asses and pachyderms since I was in junior high.

The default date, when there is not enough money taken in to pay benefits out has gotten closer in the last 25 years.

And closer than 30 years should have brought it.

In 1980, Social Security was calculated to go into default in the mid-to-late 2060's.

Generous estimates today say 2040.

The truth is closer to 2017.

I'd probably agree with Beamish were it not for the fact that Granny paid into social security all her working life, and was forced to do so. So we don't benefit fore or aft by kicking Granny in the face.

Angle is arguing Social Security is unconstitutional; well, I think that argument was already made and the SCOTUS decided otherwise. We should all remember that the Constitution says what the Supreme Court says that it says —another reason to nominate sane people to the court, rather than the past two radical leftists.

Still, just because SS has "always" been there (for most of our lives), doesn't mean that we shouldn't consider alternative programs. A free market investment scheme may not work given the volatility of the free market, but perhaps something based on bonds; with a guaranteed return, could work. But getting back to generalities, I worry that anyone thinks of Angle as a crackpot, but who thinks that Harry Reid is good for the United States of America.

I'll take your word for it.

My main point of reference is the demographic trend. There just aren't going to be enough people paying into the system to keep it maintained. It's important to keep the population under control so we don't overheat the earth, you know.

Unbelievable story..

To think the Florida Democrat Party didn't have the common sense to check / recheck / triple-check this "mailer" they sent out...

Okay. Right. Sure.

A thought to Dave Miller - a lot of us have been hit by the Feds with fees and charges we were not expecting.

I have, in my past, due to the type of work I was involved in - contracting and filing 1099 forms. It can be difficult even for tax professionals to file perfectly.

And one small mistake can really add up, because when you make a mistake, the IRS is all up in your business and raking you for all kinds of late fees and administrative charges.

Our tax system sucks, period... and to try to equate this stupidity on the part of the Florida Democrat Party with a tax situation is just silly. Sorry.. but it's true and you know it.

But not to worry, everyone...

Politico is reporting that Barack Hussein Obama is on his way to Florida, in an effort to save Ron Klein's dying campaign.

I don't know Dave, how many dem politicians interview with Fox? I don't remember Harry Reid inteviewing there. But, Angle should interview with the "Liberal Media"?

So, Sharron Angle isn't a masochist, good for her.

As for SS, we pay taxes on part of it, we still pay for medicare, even though it's going to be gutted if the administration has it's way, so? It's probably going the way of the dodo bird. It's unsustainable as it stands now.

They'll raise the age, and hopefully young people will have a choice of some kind. Preferrably, they'll save their money.

Pris

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

I don't fall for the "paid in to Social Security all my life" argument from its threatened benificiaries / Ponzi scheme victims.

Let's start in 1966.

The 20 year old Baby Boomer achieves the national average personal income of $6,900, which inflates to $45,000 in 2010 money.

Let's say he kept himself at the national average income level until he retired in 2008.

Even as he got paid more as the national average income went up in amount, inflation withered its value away.

In the 1970's, his income was in the $8000s, which inflates to around $30,000 today.

In the 1980's his income was in the $13,000s, which inflates to around $41,000 today.

In the 1990's his income was in the $21,000s, which inflates to around $38,000 today.

In the 2000's, his income was in the $31,000s, which inflates to around $33,000 today.

When he retired early at age 62 in 2008, his income was around $33,000, which two years after Obama is now only worth $32,300.

Each year the more he made, the more worthless it became.

Did he really pay in enough to maintain him at average income levels through his retirement?

To stay at average income levels in retirement, Baby Boomer needs to be pulling in around $33,000 from Social Security payouts right now.

Trouble is, in the 1960's he only paid in $325 a year to Social Security (over the course of 4 years) which is worth now $3100 a year.

In the 1970's he only paid in around $780 a year over 10 years, worth now $4320 a year.

In the 1980s he only paid in around $2670 a year for 10 years, worth now $6680 a year.

In the 1990s he only paid in around $5000 a year, worth now around $8000 a year

In the 2000s he only paid in around $6000 a year.

He paid in a total of $133,800 from 1966 to 2008.

Those contributions, adjusted for inflation, are worth $250,400.

Do we:

a.) pay him out the national average income from a mythological lockbox where his money's been waiting, giving him around 7.5 years of national average income before he's not tapping money he put in and is in fact a drain on the economy, not a contributor, or

b) cut him a check for $133,000 and say here's "your" money back, sorry it's worthless now, or

c.) tease him with a pile totalling $250,400 and tell him here's what you could have retired with in savings if you weren't a sucker of a Ponzi scheme

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

then's there's the "equitable" options:

d) pay the average contribution of 42 years back without inflation, $3186 a year to retire on, until the rtiree turns 104, or

e.) pay the average contribution of 42 years back with inflation adjustments, $5961 a year until the retiree turns 104.

The point of all this is no, Granny, you didn't pay enough in to retire at income levels you expect to get out of Social Security.

In fact, what Granny paid in, she likely will have exhausted, even adjusted for inflation, after only a few years. You're entitled to your own money, not mine Granny. Get a job you bum.

Cube, I love it, too...I don't know how it happens but it's fabulous...like having everyone come to my house and sit around and talk! (except I"d have trouble with 67 people in my living room!)
Ya, that soc security number thing stank.......

Hey Mustang. I teach HS and I promise you that while 9th graders are lots of things, never NEVER call them stupid or I just might forget you're a Marine. I've seen plenty of smart people do dumb things. And yes publishing the SSN was a uber-dumb move, and no I'm not a liberal.
