One more reason to hate metal.

good one, Ducky
I just love the breaking of ranks; most dopes vote for the dopes, you know :-)

Can't wait for the next Santorum rally.

The crowd will be flicking lighters and screaming for "Symphony of Destruction".

Fairly good read on the players I'd say. I wouldn't call Newt Angry, just not electable and something tugs at me saying that he would do nothing to derail any of the communist agenda either.

Really, making such a long vocalization out of creating a Moon Base? Yea, Ok, if we weren't on the precipice of the ABYSS, with one foot already sliding in and No One helping.

We have much bigger issues to tackle, and frankly, Newt hasn't verbalized any of the stuff that I'm concerned about.

Romney is simply unelectable. Flip-flopper liberal, Nothing in common with the majority of the population, and financed by the big Banksters.

Paul has some Great ideas. But he says some Really Stupid Things. Stupid enough to turn everyone off including me.

I still say Michele would have done the best job, but that's why the media kicked her to the curb before she even got on the sidewalk.

Sad state of affairs.

DUcky, I doubt it

Kid, Romney's going to have to be electable if we're going to save this country from another four years of huge debt, stealing the future from our kids, denying jobs through ridiculous and unfounded EPA crap, gestapo tactics of health care and everyday issues (wait till you see tomorrow's post), and appeasing Iran, etc etc.....
and ya, I thought it was a pretty good read on the players, too!

I have to admit, I like metal. This doesn't give Santorum much credibility though.

Ah it's so fun to see the left falling all over themselves. They had already primed the pumps against Mitt Romney. You don't think that whole occupy/99% versus 1% garbage wasn't planned did you? That was a total setup for Mitt Romney (the epitome of the 1%) to walk right into... If we go for someone else all of that effort and patchouli stank would be for nothing.

I've been into metal for years, since the late 60s transformed into British metal of the 70s.

I was a Conservative then and now.

Love the music. The message wasn't necessarily congruent.

Imagine the absolute CHAGRIN when the message DOES become congruent.

Not a particularly big deal. Overall, I STILL love Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, King Crimson, Porcupine Tree, Metallica, Primus, Rush, Stray, Crazy Horse, Judas Priest.

Chuck, it gives Megadeth some credibility :-)

Hi, GMAN...good point.

BZ....it's really fun to learn new things about blogger friends; I'd not have guessed :-)
Is King Crimson considered heavy metal?

My ex business partner, was a Brit and jammed with guys from Velvet Underground and (I think it was) King Crimson and Deep Purple, at a club in Hollywood years ago...Was it fun to be there at 'their table'! :-) He'd been in a fairly big group himself (from which a REALLY famous guy who I subsequently met a few times with him) started his own band without him) but I can't say which one cuz of my anonymity (our last names together were our business name)

But I heard The Village People are still in Obummer's camp...

SF....fantastic line :-)

I once jammed with Ralph Stanley.

Cat's getting up their in years and he cold blow Megadeth off the bandstand.

He endorsed Obummer.

Z said...

Ducky, of course he endorsed Obama...musicians are supposed to be 'cool'...actors are supposed to be 'cool' ...they don't vote for Republicans.
That's why I posted this Megadeth endorsement; someone actually speaks his own mind without feeling he has to be cool, imagine? :-)

Not to mention Megadeth co-founder and bassist David Ellefson is now studying in the Missouri Synod Lutheran seminary.

z, do you know who Ralph Stanley is?

LOL I blogged this too (with requisite Megadeth playlist... jam "Kill the King" for Obama, hehehe)

Personally, I think Mustaine is more anti-Obama than pro-Santorum.

If he were aware of Santorum's crusade to drive libertarians out of the Republican Party (Hint: Reagan claimed "libertarianism is the heart and soul of conservatism") he'd probably tell that Pennsylvania Pipsqueak where to go and how to get there.

Not sure that I could even identify their music, but if they believe as Rick Santorum does, perhaps I need to give them a listen, ha

Beamish, the way he pretty handily criticized them all, I don't think he's less Obama than ANy of them.

Well, Z, I wouldn't go to Dave Mustaine for political advice anymore than I would go to Dick Cheney for guitar lessons.

That said, I'm happy Mustaine has turned his life around over the decades with his band Megadeth. He was kicked out of Metallica in 1983 over his drinking problem, and that's saying something considering the whole band was prodigious in their alcohol abuse at the time LOL.

Back on Santorum though, you know how I consider "social conservatism" to be an oxymoron similar to "fiery ice" or "delicious vomit," so I won't bother further with the dude other than to say "at least he's not Obama."

Duckman, I love Ralph! Saw him a few times. Interesting that you jammed with him. How'd that happen? Thought you were a visual artist with your MFA. (I'm an MFA as well. Painter).
