Liberty Perspires.........this IS pretty clever, don't you think!?

Do you agree with THIS GUY?
I think I do........I just want to add one thing;  because many think the warming is NOT man made and not CLIMATE CHANGE but BAD WEATHER does not mean we want dirty oceans, filthy air and all trees cut down.   I'm the biggest 'tree hugger' around, I LOVE trees.......just thought I'd say that before getting the usual nutty comments. ;-)

Actually we are in a cooling cycle... It's called WEATHER, not global warming and man isn't the cause... Polluting is one thing, global warming is just another attempt to redistribute wealth...

When I was in high school, we were supposed to be in grave danger of causing another ice age. Its all just another bullshit attempt to re-distribute wealth.

We should be building thousands of Thorium/Molten Salt based reactor system.
Incredibly safe. Put one on every corner and strengthen the electric grid as well. Scrap this wind and solar money laundering nonsense. If you're interested type Thorium Reactor into youtube.

These reactors consume 99% of their fuel. There is trillions of tons of thorium in the Earth's crust. Does not make weapons grade fuel. Not a terror target. We built one in the 1960's, didn't proceed because it didn't create weapons fuel. Check the vid(s)

It makes so much sense it would probably kill a libtard just to watch the vid.

PS - point being we could get rid of every coal or petroleum based fuel plant in America, save money, and clean the air. Nothing wrong with that regardless the existence or not of MM climate change.

Kid said...

PPS - all the current nuclear waste in the world could be piled up and it wouldn't take any more space than a football field. (You can't put it that close to itself but still.)

Besides the MIT kids have solved the nuke waste 'problem' anyway.

Let's try this again

Elbo, the global climate/environmental people are the most rabid people I've even seen. In fact, it seems the more people like James Lovelock come out and recant, the stronger their 'religion' becomes.

elmers brother said...

you're right Kid.

Two months ago, James Lovelock, the godfather of global warming, gave a startling interview to msnbc.com in which he acknowledged he had been unduly “alarmist” about climate change.

The implications were extraordinary.

Lovelock is a world-renowned scientist and environmentalist whose Gaia theory — that the Earth operates as a single, living organism — has had a profound impact on the development of global warming theory.

Unlike many “environmentalists,” who have degrees in political science, Lovelock, until his recent retirement at age 92, was a much-honoured working scientist and academic.

His inventions have been used by NASA, among many other scientific organizations.

Lovelock’s invention of the electron capture detector in 1957 first enabled scientists to measure CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) and other pollutants in the atmosphere, leading, in many ways, to the birth of the modern environmental movement.

Having observed that global temperatures since the turn of the millennium have not gone up in the way computer-based climate models predicted, Lovelock acknowledged, “the problem is we don’t know what the climate is doing. We thought we knew 20 years ago.” Now, Lovelock has given a follow-up interview to the UK’s Guardian newspaper in which he delivers more bombshells sure to anger the global green movement, which for years worshipped his Gaia theory and apocalyptic predictions that billions would die from man-made climate change by the end of this century.

elmers brother said...

He responds to attacks on his revised views by noting that, unlike many climate scientists who fear a loss of government funding if they admit error, as a freelance scientist, he’s never been afraid to revise his theories in the face of new evidence. Indeed, that’s how science advances.

Among his observations to the Guardian:

(1) A long-time supporter of nuclear power as a way to lower greenhouse gas emissions, which has made him unpopular with environmentalists, Lovelock has now come out in favour of natural gas fracking (which environmentalists also oppose), as a low-polluting alternative to coal.

As Lovelock observes, “Gas is almost a give-away in the U.S. at the moment. They’ve gone for fracking in a big way. This is what makes me very cross with the greens for trying to knock it … Let’s be pragmatic and sensible and get Britain to switch everything to methane. We should be going mad on it.” (Kandeh Yumkella, co-head of a major United Nations program on sustainable energy, made similar arguments last week at a UN environmental conference in Rio de Janeiro, advocating the development of conventional and unconventional natural gas resources as a way to reduce deforestation and save millions of lives in the Third World.)

(2) Lovelock blasted greens for treating global warming like a religion.

“It just so happens that the green religion is now taking over from the Christian religion,” Lovelock observed. “I don’t think people have noticed that, but it’s got all the sort of terms that religions use … The greens use guilt. That just shows how religious greens are. You can’t win people round by saying they are guilty for putting (carbon dioxide) in the air.”

(3) Lovelock mocks the idea modern economies can be powered by wind turbines.

As he puts it, “so-called ‘sustainable development’ … is meaningless drivel … We rushed into renewable energy without any thought. The schemes are largely hopelessly inefficient and unpleasant. I personally can’t stand windmills at any price.”

(4) Finally, about claims “the science is settled” on global warming: “One thing that being a scientist has taught me is that you can never be certain about anything. You never know the truth. You can only approach it and hope to get a bit nearer to it each time. You iterate towards the truth. You don’t know it.”

CnC, I remember that ICE AGE thing!

Ducky, it wasn't a burqa..and she's LIBERTY :-)

Kid...that's cool, I've never heard of that. Are they expensive to install??

Elbo, thanks, I couldn't open that link and had to leave before I let you know (I think!?)....Ya, Lovelock, and Lord Monckton (who'd actually worked on Warming with Gore) both now say it's not man made and we're not in the trouble they thought we were in...and that it's become a lousy religion but very profitable...for the louses.

Z said...

Kowalski..I don't listen to ANYTHING with *igger said that often...awful.

As for Superpacs, why's the left always ragging about them? The Left has them, too.
It's like the Left spits the word CABLE (meaning FOX) out as if FOX is THE ONLY Cable channel..

I don't get life sometimes :-)

Z, Expensive? No.

Z, Here's the shortest most informative vid I could find on the Thorium Reactor

Again, we built one in the 1960's.

Interesting that we are now 'Partnering with China to do this in recent news. This could be a good thing or a bad thing.

Not a prude, but I find that picture disturbing. Humorous but disrespectful. Just wondered if I was alone in that.

Ed, I can see your point. I'd never seen her 'tampered with' so I found it clever but you're right...it's not particularly respectful..sorry about that!

Kid, I'm not sure partnering with China anymore is a very good thing EVER. I think they know they have it all OVER us by now and that's not great. Some think China's in terrible shape and need us more than we need them; I hope that's true!!

Z,
Sorry to hijack your post, but I wrote something on my blog when I read on Drudge that Condoleezza Rich may be Romney's first choice for V.P. I think it's an inspired choice. But I view it with a twist. Would you read it and give me your opinion? Thanks.

Thanks, Law and Order...I read it and responded there...
You make a very strong case for Condi as VP.

I encourage everybody to read L&O's latest blog post. He's GOOD! :-)

Things might be changing.

But due to so-called "anthropomorphic climate change"?

Nope. Man can't cause all that. Man is naught but a fly-speck on the sheet paper of Life.

Who, besides me, can recall the DOOMSDAY ravings of Paul Ehrlich WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE.

And then we didn't.

But, though, the Corvair did go away. Thanks Ralph Nader.

The bastard was pretty ugly anyway.

You guys are all wrong in bad-mouthing global warming. There really is such a thing and it is man-made. Every time one of those libtards like Al Gore opens his pie hole, all the hot fumes that they emit most certainly take their toll on our weather; and my sanity. They drive me crazy!

Stanley, Kowalski, maybe...you, too?

I suppose that the Kowalskis and the Dubois have just different notions on this.

I would not want Condi Rice as prez, so I would not risk her as VP.

No man made global warming doesn't exits. Geez. Everyone in the world know this is the cause of the hottest decade on record. Climatologist reiterated it last month. But ignorant Americans still refuse to believe the obvious.

Write a letter to your descendants, put it in a safe place. I'm betting you will be thought of as the family fool in the future.

TWO OF THE WORLD"S BIGGEST CLIMATE CHANGE HACKS HAVE CHANGED THEIR MINDS AND SAY IT'S MOSTLY NOT MAN MADE...THAT WAS THE POINT OF MY POST, GET IT? :-)

It was never about dirty oceans or cleaner air, it was and always will only be about taking your money and impoverishing you.

That's why the solution from these cretins is always a new tax and forcing you to spend your money on useless and expensive technology that does nothing to save the world.
