Republican governors and unemployment...which msm will cover THIS truth?

In 2010, influenced by the Tea Party and its focus on fiscal issues, 17 states elected Republican governors. And, according to an Examiner.com analysis, every one of those states saw a drop in their unemployment rates since January of 2011. Furthermore, the average drop in the unemployment rate in these states was 1.35%, compared to the national decline of .9%, which means, according to the analysis, that the job market in these Republican states is improving 50% faster than the national rate.

Since January of 2011, here is how much the unemployment rate declined in each of the 17 states that elected Republican governors in 2010, according to the Examiner:
Kansas - 6.9% to 6.1% = a decline of 0.8%
Maine - 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%
Michigan - 10.9% to 8.5% = a decline of 2.4%
New Mexico - 7.7% to 6.7% = a decline of 1.0%
Oklahoma - 6.2% to 4.8% = a decline of 1.4%
Pennsylvania - 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%
Tennessee - 9.5% to 7.9% = a decline of 1.6%
Wisconsin - 7.7% to 6.8% = a decline of 0.9%
Wyoming - 6.3% to 5.2% = a decline of 1.1%
Alabama - 9.3% to 7.4% = a decline of 1.9%
Georgia - 10.1% to 8.9% = a decline of 1.2%
South Carolina - 10.6% to 9.1% = a decline of 1.5%
South Dakota - 5.0% to 4.3% = a decline of 0.7%
Florida - 10.9% to 8.6% = a decline of 2.3%
Nevada - 13.8% to 11.6% = a decline of 2.2%
Iowa - 6.1% to 5.1% = a decline of 1.0%
Ohio - 9.0% to 7.3% = a decline of 1.7%
On the other hand, the unemployment rate in states that elected Democrats in 2010 dropped, on average, as much as the national rate decline and, in some states such as New York, the unemployment rate has risen since January of 2011.
This is yet another example of how the so-called “blue state” model is not working.  End of  article.

Can't imagine why CNN or MSNBC or the networks haven't picked this up :-)

(thanks, Elbro)

They haven't read your post, yet.

Don't worry. We'll hear about it about six weeks after the election.

It doesn't fit their preconceived message, so it won't be covered progressive policies can not be wrong.

Here in Massachusetts we laugh in your general direction.

Although it is interesting, Joe, that just the other day you were touting the workforce participation rate rather than unemployment.

Which is it?

I m waiting for Libdud to go retrieve his talking points from Media Matters to debunk this.
Because only Soros' funded media is credible

Michael Medved just got wind of this and I heard a promo that he's covering this story today...on his show.
Noon, PST>

Sadly, while he does get MANY liberals on his show, I'm thinking Americans are still in the dark.

Lisa, don't forget: Soros is FINE, the Kochs are EVIL.
Liberal media is TRUE, Conservatives with LIbs on are all FALSE..
Entitlements are the new America and, if we don't think so, we're all nasty racists.

You can participate in that list....liberals could write it even better than my short list...

I'm sick that only 6 comments are here; This MUST BE READ. I don't really mind few comments IF PEOPLE ARE LEARNING SOMETHING. Because, they will not learn this truth from the msm.

Ducky, this is my post and I'm hoping we can stick with these numbers and stop obfuscating. I know it's tough to read this, but you need to wake up.

I'm afraid Mr. Ducky that our red herrings are of little use here.

The lameness of Ducky's pathetic response is a testament to just how powerful this article is.

Libmann, you ARE starting to get it. WHat HAPPENED? Back on your pills? :)
But, seriously, if you're feeling better, I'm glad about that.

SF....as I've said many times, the more powerful and irrefutable the information, the more pathetic his response, I have to admit...it happens every time.
YOu nailed it.

The numbers are proof that they don't lie...but liberal toads can't do the math.

Which is another reason for the wreck of this economy...squeezing more people to give more freebies to other people who can't add and can't be bothered with it, so long as they bleed the rest of us dry.

Then the real problems will start.

Ed, I don't do Facebook...feel free to print anything here you feel more people should see.

Imp; the problem is Americans hear they're getting something for nothing and they've been so indoctrinated that they feel they deserve it and that AMerican can continue to afford it.

and they vote.

New Hampshire kept our D. Governor and we have better numbers too, HOWEVER, that is because we now have 75% majorities in our State House and Senate!! We also have, in my opinion, a less liberal Governor than most.

Z, you just have to check out the picture of a NObama supporter I found and unabashedly posted a few minutes ago. Steal it if you like!

"the problem is Americans.."

I'd hardly call them that. However it was Thomas jefferson who long ago predicted the demise of this Republic once people were allowed to vote something for themselves such as entitlements.

Me...I'm all for only allowing those who pay taxes or own property to vote. Those who suck off the rest of us should not vote, period. They can only take from the producers or prosperous among us.

Some welfare parasite slug in section 8 housing gets to vote and they can't recall a sentence in the Preamble?

And someone like Charles Krauthammer or Victor Davis Hanson or J. Christian Adams gets the same damn singular vote?

LOVE IT, Average....great picture!
AND PERFECT!

Imp, it's so important that people not be able to vote themselves their goodies. I believe what that Scottish philosopher said about a country only having about 250 years because, by that time, the unearning, unproductive but greedy masses are voting themselves EVERYTHING is truer each day...and then the country's done with.
sound familiar?

IMO, everyone should have to pay income taxes. Then, they'll have some stock in what this country does.

To have citizens out there who get what they call "free stuff", they get a ride they don't have to pay for. Meanwhile the Nanny state get's bigger, and more powerful over us all, and we lose more freedom day by day!

Everyone should have a stake in this country, then they'll be against taxes like their parents or grandparents were, back in the days when we all had to pay.

I guess people like Ducky won't be satisfied until every city looks like Detroit!

Z said...

Pris, I heard last night that 49% of Americans pay NO taxes.

"TAX THE RICH"! Unbelievable.

Allen West nails it again:

"I really feel that it is demeaning to me to think that I need some individual to justify me and my existence.

Look, I went through 22 years being in the military, I rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel, I have a bachelor and 2 masters degrees.

And for these white liberals to believe they can have this condescending manner toward black conservatives that we need to have approval from our quote unquote, I guess “masters”, for us to be able to speak – see that’s where the true racism really lies is with the white liberals who don’t want to see someone such as myself that broke away from their dependency class and is out here and able to possibly contend against them with the policies that they are promoting that’s destroying the black community.

I know I’m their #1 target and it just emboldens me to speak out even stronger.

“Self-esteem comes from doing esteemable things. Sitting at home and getting a check from the government is not going to help your self-esteem. What it will do is make you an economic slave to people living in a far, far, distant place,” West said on Sunday.

“He does not want you to have the self-esteem of getting up and earning and having that title of ‘American,’” the congressman said of the president. “He’d rather you be his slave and be economically dependent upon him.”

So. Boss. Even if you don’t like what Rep. West has to say, it’s hard to help admiring the way he says it.

He’s never screeching or whining — he’s always calm and measured when he’s laying out his case, and he refuses to be cowed by anyone.

Sorry, but I’ll take perhaps-politically-unwise-but-straight-shootin’ real talk over carefully-planned-populist-pandering rhetoric any day of the week.

Q: How do you tell a Romney supporter from an Obama supporter?

A: Romney supporters sign their checks on the front;

Obama supporters sign them on the back.

Imp, don't apologize, you're right! Honesty is the best policy, and West is a true patriot. I admire his spunk and integrity. He is an example of what we need more of.

West is one of the candidates I donate to, and I'm proud to do it.
