Head in the sand, anybody?

I have my head in the sand today because the news is either so upsetting or so boring or so stupid and disheartening....

Barack Obama's in Europe telling folks over there that we're cutting down our military and saying that Putin's just a big fish in that region.  That's all.  Obama's heading to Saudi this week to smooth things over with the kingdom.  uhoh.

Michelle Obama is dissing the media though she's meeting with the Chinese president's wife and many school officials.  Yahoo says: “News officers said they were not releasing names so participants could talk candidly with Obama about education issues."  I'm wondering what's so terribly private about education that they can't speak publicly to Mrs. Obama about it and when she became an expert on education?   Who's kidding who here? (or is it whom?)

Candace Bure is said to be touting 'the polarizing Christianity' her brother Kirk Cameron apparently has. Not sure what that means except, maybe, "Christianity one actually speaks about in public"?

That 44 pound baby's getting some help.

Gwyneth Paltrow and her hubby are separating.  I believe the article said "Consciously Uncoupling"?

But, have no fear......Kim Kardashian's wedding dresses are VERY hot in VOGUE...go get a copy.

Meet the new America.

A big UH OH on that one. What will Putin now prove?

Three Secret Service agents responsible for protecting President Obama in Amsterdam this week were sent home and put on administrative leave Sunday after going out for a night of drinking, according to three people familiar with the incident. One of them was found drunk and passed out in a hotel hallway, the people said. The hotel staff alerted the U.S. Embassy in the Netherlands after finding the unconscious agent Sunday morning.Shocking,Outrageous and totally unacceptable.
It is hard to imagine this taking place under previous presidents, because everyone knew the expected standards of the job. Obama sets low expectations
All this while, obama's weakness invites aggression.
The only thing worse than someone acting weak..........
Is someone who is weak but pretends to be strong

My vision of America, Sam?

Well in a sense. I knew the fringe right would take this opportunity to push for removing any defense cuts while being completely unable to articulate how more ground troops would have affected the situation in Crimea, one iota.

As for the rest of the items. I don't understand why the fringe right doesn't ignore them.

Rita said...

Of course Putin is going to stop with Crimea. Just ask the Secretary of State.

This is the day that freedom dies.

yet every time we query Ducky of what a 'fringe Right' is, he doesn't respond. What IS 'fringe right?"

And, wait...isn't it Obama who fired so many Generals, and didn't listen to the rest?
But WE on the "FRINGE RIGHT" are supposed to have the answers to how many ground troops are needed in Crimea :-)

Thanks for the amazing, perfectly astonishing, belief in our capabilities, but that's one generals answer. We on the FRINGE RIGHT just CAN'T do EVERYTHING for you, Ducky.
what a hoot!

Rottweiler, this happened before, I believe it was under Obama, too. I think they drink BECAUSE it's Obama :-)

JOn Berg..imagine the president picking THIS TIME to tell the world more about how we're cutting our military capabilities?
Now, here's the deal, JB; when a lefty hears what I just said, they think the right wants NO cutting of any defense spending. They jump to that because they know it's not true, and they can use a comment like "not a good idea to tell the world we're less strong" to BS people who are that "low information voter" that's pretty much all we've got left in this country :-(

Z said...

DOn't you all think it's just plain "ODD" that NONE of the many commenters who happen to have no blogs and come here raving mad at some other blog, mentioning its owner by name, and sounding very conservative, then BLASTING Michelle Obama in ugly ways none of us has EVER done, didn't show today? Not ONE of them?
WHAT a coincidence, huh? (heh heh!)

just sayin'..

get it, Rita? :-) See?

I am.
Ducky said so.
So are you, and at least 40% of this country that disagree with his vision for America.
BIG FRINGE.
Might rename my blog that.

Z said...

Ed...great idea to name a blog that!

As of today's polls on what a lousy job O's doing in foreign affairs, I'm thinking the number's more than 40.

Kid said...

Z, I have fun at times just glancing down the headlines and writing punch lines for them. 90% of the items are truly absurd. I saw an article in the last couple days where joe biden wants to put obama up for sainthood. Says he's done as much if not more than Ghandi or John Paul II.

Seriously. hahahaaa. I feel like I'm living Kurt Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions.

duck should not be allowed to comment until he tells us how harvard would go about creating jobs with their 37 billion, and then explain why they haven't created a single one to date.

Oh, and provide a description for fringe right of course. hehehe

Z, obammy has never slipped below the high 30% range is polls of support.

This is definitive proof of what percentage of the population are blind drunk stupid morons.

So, when obammycare got 30 some % approval rating, it really got zero.
And anything that gets 30 something % approval rating, involving obama or democrats or libtards, really means that it got a 0% approval rating.

It's just like when you have 4% unemployment, you really have zero percent UE, because UE will Never go below 4% In the very best case, 4% are the number of people between jobs.
Of course, we have an actual 58% UE rate currently, and none of those 91 million are even looking according to CNN/Money of all sources. So heck, it may be higher.
And they may all be a lot higher too come to think of it. Especially Colorado.

Kid said...

And who knows What mrs obama is doing in China. It's all secret right?

My guess is she is spending massive amounts of money having a sweet time for her and enterouge, and/or she is selling America even further down the river like bubba clinton did when he opened up the floodgates to Chinese goods in America and destroyed the jobs of Millions of adoring Clinton fans, even today. I los ma joob, but is was bubba clinton what took it, so its OdamnK. No whadda Meen?

Ya, the Harvard question was a good one; I guess it's okay for liberal colleges to sit on billions of dollars. Imagine if it was some Conservative University? (wait...ARE there any?!)

the mind boggles.

Did you hear tonight that the DoJ is saying it could take a year or two to get the emails the Republicans have been asking for for MONTHS? Including Lois Lerner's emails? They're busy protecting anything that's too private; which means, even in YEARS< we won't see the criminal entries.

I just watched a panel on FOX...citizens talking about where America's going.
One guy was from Russia, is a Republican here (most Eastern Europeans I know are), and he was asked if about Obama Care and this guy said "This is America? And they're telling me what I have to BUY?"
A question came up about Obama and I can't remember what it was, but the guy's answer was "But Putin is putting Russia first; he is doing what he thinks is right for Russia." In other words..the comparison is real striking to this Russian émigré.

SO SAD.

Okay, let's go real slow for kid.
First, do you understand the word sarcasm? I hope so because it's a critical concept here.

1. The idea that the mere existence of kapital creates jobs is both completely contrary to reality and a staple of the fringe right. Those wo often go together.

2. Harvard has in fact undergone a series of layoffs when according to the fringe right theory of the job creators they should be hiring. Rich people give you jobs, kid. They just look at that big pile of kapital and say, "let's hire some people".

3. The fringe right is a group of ideologues who are scared witless that the coons and spics are getting all the dough and they elected a communist, Kenyan, Muslim so they can get more even though the income transfer in America favors the ultra rich. But since they have lots of kapital they will create jobs so it all works out.
That kind of idiotic circular logic defines the fringe right along with a soupcon of religious extremism.

Kid said...

Z, Exactly right (get it?) on all counts. Mind boggles yes.

And yes, as stated, some leader envy is shown for putin because he works hard for Russia and for Communism. Even though we hate communism, we envy not having a president that not only doesn't work for America, the imbecile works Against America and its native systems and cultures.

Yea, duck throws rocks from the kindergarten school playground until he sees one heading back his way, then Run away run Away! kinda funny really.

What's worse is to watch Krauthammer on Fox miss the really big point:
"This is America? And they're telling me what I have to provide in the health care plan I have to offer?" Dollars aren't good enough?
Actually that explains a lot.
Dollars aren't good enough.

duck, I'm impressed.

But No cigar on the harvard question. I din't ask how riuch people create jobs, I asked how harvard creates jobs, and let's immediately discount janitors and communist perfessors. We're talking about 37 billion. Context for God's Sake!

Based on your description of fringe right, I've never met one.
There are certainly none who fit the bill here on any regular basis.
And no one is scared the losers are raking it in. Anyone who holds that as an issues simply knows this is a concept that doesn't work and in the end makes things worse for Everyone.

The 'dead end of libtard fairy tales' I mention form time to time.

But heck, points for trying.

Again, it's Ducky who ends up using terms like coon on here. I find that only just a tad less offensive than the n word. For someone who is supposedly soooo tolerant, he sure seems comfortable using terms like coon and darky to describe blacks.

Personally, I find all of those terms disgusting and would never use them, in any context.

Just STOP it Ducky. Stop it. It's offensive.

I realize that you come from a superior race known as liberals who have no problems calling people like Ben Carson or Herman Cain Uncle Toms or house n's. But it doesn't fly with us fringe righties.

You think it's cute.

We think it's vile.

And it shows who is the true racist.

Who on earth says capital creates jobs all by itself? (who is Ducky imagining now?) What rubbish! It joins hands with a stable legal environment and predictable and fair rule of law to do its magic. Why are so many sitting on gazillions in cash now? Because that other half of the equation is missing (that pesky fair rule of law thing that our current administration steamrollers over with arrogant impunity).

How did Britain - a cold distant island with natively unimaginative people on the edge of the world - become a great economic powerhouse? Because it had both. Much more to that story, of course, but its legal framework attracted people and encouraged the activities of saving and leveraging capital into wealth that led to a higher standard of living for all.

duck, businesses employ people, increasing or decreasing those numbers based upon the economic conditions. Their responsibility is to their shareholders and employees. If they're not profitable they cease to exist and destroy their shareholders and employees.

This point is so clear I find it amazing you as a leftist aren't trying to make it. Dig? You are all bleeting for free college right? Right?

Imp; that's STILL a best kept secret; WHO was it who fault the Civil Rights Bill so hard?
Hint: NOT Republicans.

Impertinent said...

@Z:

Who? Who? Really? OK..a brief synopsis for the .."ignint...

The Democrat Party over time:

Seven Democratic presidents owned slaves from 1800 through 1861

At the time of his death in 1845, Andrew Jackson, founder of the Democrat Party, owned approximately 150 slaves. His 1835 message to Congress sought legislation to prohibit abolitionist groups from using the postal system to deliver their message south. Democratic Party platforms supported slavery six times from 1840 through 1860.

The Copperheads were a vocal group of Democrats located in the Northern United States of the Union who opposed the American Civil War, wanting an immediate peace settlement with the Confederates and restoring the Union with slavery. Republicans started calling antiwar Democrats "Copperheads", likening them to the venomous snake.

Democrats opposed the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments to the Constitution. The 13th banned slavery. The 14th effectively overturned the infamous 1857 Dred Scott decision (made by Democratic pro-slavery Supreme Court justices) by guaranteeing due process and equal protection to former slaves. The 15th gave black Americans the right to vote.

During reconstruction white southerners formed new political parties (often called the "Conservative" party) and supported or tolerated violent activist groups that intimidated both black and white Republican leaders at election time. By the mid-1870s, the Conservatives and Democrats had aligned with the national Democratic Party, which enthusiastically supported their cause even as the national Republican Party was losing interest in Southern affairs.

The Democratic Party identified itself as the "white man's party" and demonized the Republican Party as being "Negro dominated," even though whites were in control. Determined to re-capture the South, Southern Democrats "redeemed" state after state -- sometimes peacefully, other times by fraud and violence. By 1877, when Reconstruction was officially over, the Democratic Party controlled every Southern state.

Jim Crow laws were the post-Civil War laws passed enthusiastically by Democrats. These laws segregated public schools, public transportation, restaurants, rest rooms and public places in general (everything from water coolers to beaches).

The Ku Klux Klan, which became "a military force serving the interests of the Democratic Party." and "terrorist arm of the Democratic Party."

Impertinent said...

@Z:

Here's what Malcolm X had to say about blacks that blindly vote for Democrats:

"You put them first," said Malcolm X, "and they put you last. 'Cause you're a chump.

A political chump! ... Any time you throw your weight behind a political party that controls two-thirds of the government, and that party can't keep the promise that it made to you during election time, and you are dumb enough to walk around continuing to identify yourself with that party -- you're not only a chump but you're a traitor to your race."
