I'd like to make a reservation for 4 please. Is there anything we can bring?
"just yourselves" as we like to tell guests!! I WISH!
How MEAN of you, Z! You KNOW I can't afford the plane fare to get there before it's all gobbled up.
BOO HOO!!! (:-c
~ FT
Count me in. What can I bring.
How about some Momofuku Chicken Wings?
I've got to add here that the illustration (which prompted this posting because it is so beautiful and tempting) is obviously SPANISH..those are tapas!
I have to, for full disclosure, admit that Spanish food is one of my least favorites on the planet...except tapas, which I HIGHLY approve of because one gets a taste of so many things instead of having a glob of meat put in front of you, for example.
There are some Spanish dishes I love..the things in this photo (fried fish, olives, their idea of an omelet, etc.), paella, GREAT steaks, and some of the wines, but, in general? Not so much. Plus, when you're there, you eat dinner at 10 pm, and that's something I don't like doing!
No offense to the Spanish, but..I pretty much judge a country by its food. But, come to think of it, my LOVE of Mexican food doesn't stand up to this latest of my observations!
I'll have a glass of that.
But just one.
beamish, check out my sidebar. I just wish it had published in the same white letters.
and "ONE"?
ELBRO? Can you help, come to think of it? xx
I'll be right over.
Z,
From Ohio to California. Just around the corner. I wish I could be over.
This post is for Z's eyes only, all others please do not look.
Thank you..
Z, You asked me what Momofuku Chicken Wings are.
1. Momofuku is the name of a really, really great and almost impossible to get into restaurant. The owner (Chief) is a very famous Chef in New York and in several other cities is David Chang.
2. Here is what they are:
David Chang is known for his pork, and his chicken wings At his restaurant called Momofuku, the wings are smoked before being finished off on the grill or griddle. Try serving these at your next cocktail party.

color me there...7 please.
I wish you COULD, lovelyprism and L&O..SO much! Mr. Z just asked "So, how many are coming?" Wouldn't that be excellent? What a time we'd have!
Dude...check this out: http://www.chow.com/recipes/11186
A RECIPE FOR MOMOFUKU which sounds SO SO good!! A recipe for home chefs. Thanks!
Free food and drink? I'm there.
Z,
You don't have enough bottles.
So I'll take one glass, and savor it.
Good, Kevin!
Beamish...we have more. TRUST me :-)
Aw, you don't want me uninhibited and ranting incoherently behind a spray of drool about meaningless irredentas...
One.
There's too much Injun in me, you know.
"A region that is culturally or historically related to one nation but is subject to a foreign government."
Okay, Beamish; I KNOW you already did use it in a sentence, but could you use IRREDENTA in another, please?
I'd never heard the word in my LIFe, honest injun!
Hmm. Irrendental floss?
Nah.
How's this?
"The growth of the federal govenment has made states rights by proxy an irredentalist claim."
Oh, burp.
Gimme another shot.
sounds great, what time should I be there.
I'm so there...I wish.
I make a mean tortilla... of course to serve it cold and cubed is a sin, imho.
Looks delicioso.
Hey, Z! What is that gorgeous looking stuff on the lower right?
I had to go and cook and eat early dinner after looking at this picture for the third time.

PAELLA ab-so-LUTE-ly ROCKS!
Eet eeeze dee bast fudd een dee hull world.
~ FT
Thanks, FJ...I thought I remembered it's called a TORTILLA but wasn't positive so I just called it that 'omelet' thing..you're absolutely right. Plus, I didn't want to be corrected that 'a tortilla's a flat corn meal disc'!! Yes, Spanish tortilla is like a potato omelet, in a sense..but one can put a lot of other things into it..lots of eggs, of course.
FT..a good paella's excellent, no doubt about it. The lower right? No idea..looks like meatballs in white beans and tomato sauce to me, but I'm not sure.
We're having Turkey burgers, bean salad and green salad for dinner..much as I hate to disappoint! But, I DO put onions and cumin in my burgers!!..and in the bean salad. A BIT LATINO!
There is nothing I'd like better than to hang out with you guys for about six months. Free of charge, of course.

(As Beamish staggers into the water closet, Mustang pours Beamish's wine into Mustang's glass ... then pretends not to know what the hell Beamish is ranting about once he returns).
(Note: Mustang cannot take credit for this dirty trick; he learned it from the Congress of the United States)
Did I miss the gathering? Darn it, I never open my blog on time.
L&O Teacher, what part of Ohio you in? I'm from the Northeast corner.
Blessings.
Everyone, COME OVER!!
(Meanwhile, the very exciting house at the Z's is watching the Lakers and the Bulls....the sad thing is we're probably watching exactly what obama's watching...that takes a lot of the pleasure of watching the Lakers tonight, TRUST me! Especially if we LOSE!)
We'd much rather you were all over here
!
Mustang, you are SO SO funny.
Beamish would notice...he's scary bright! You both could have QUITE a time.
I.H.S...you're not too late; we're living a VIRTUAL PARTY here at the Z's....welcome in, my friend! XX
I see LAS VEGAS on my site meter..if Mal and Gloria are reading this...you're SO INVITED!! And I hope you're having a blast together! :0-)
I'm here. Would you like me to bring kibbee or stuffed graped leaves? Maybe both? Just let me know.
Hey, Cube~! BOTH, please...would LOVE some! xxx
OK, now you sound like Mr. Cube. He always asks for kibbee, stuffed grape leaves AND fatayed (the stuffed meat pies which I love to eat but don't exactly know how to spell) Hey, I'm just Armenian by marriage.
Mustang'll get sloshed. I have the bladder of a chipmunk.
Stuffed mushroom caps, cheese balls(stuffed wit olives) and sausage balls(with sage)...?
G*D bless and MARANATHA!
tmw
I love a little bit of this and a bite of that! Cube-DEFINITELY BOTH! I LOVE stuffed grape leaves...
do we also have the tourney games on a big screen?... he he
Don't BOTHER me this morning!!..
I'm doing DISHES!!! :-)
Oh wow! I'm too late! And I so love tapas!
Well darn, Z. We were busy all day yesterday, and celebrating my daughter's B'day.
Mr. Pris and I are probably among the few here who could actually have driven over. Can we have a raincheck? Ha, Ha.
Pris
JM, I wish you could have been here with the others :-)
Pris, a rain check ANY time! xx
I've got to use paper goods from now on..the clean up for all you people was GRUELING!! HA! (no, I NEVER use paper or plastic, but...!!)
Umm, hello!
I'm there! I'll bring homemade queso dip, tortilla chips, and sweet tea.
Oh, and my camera. ;-)
You can't hide, FJ.
Z-If the paper and plastic keeps you out of the kitchen...we don't care, we want your company! LOL!
tmw
Thanks, TMW!! I'm out of the kitchen DURING the fun, but later, I don't mind.
I can do paper cocktail dishes and napkins, obviously...but no plastic glasses and no plastic dinner dishes...just can't!! :-)
well..SOMETIMES!! HA!!
