Public Service Announcement...Red Envelope Day

Have you heard of Red Envelope Day? On March 31, people are sending red envelopes to the White House in protest against abortion. However you stand on the subject, you might want to check this out. Just thought I'd pass it along.

On the back of the envelope, you're to write "This envelope represents one child who died because of an abortion. It is empty because the life that was taken is now unable to be a part of our world."

Nothing inside......just an envelope. For a child. Buy a greeting card that comes with a red envelope and just use the envelope; it's worth it. We aren't being listened to much these days, but we can do all we can, anyway.

I thought you might be interested in participating. If you're interested in an excellent pro life blog, check this one out. God bless.

Great link. My wife saw this the other day and asked me to post it (I didn't yet, don't tell her). It is well worth the time to check it out.

Thanks again for pointing this out. I'll be buying mine tonight.

I did not know about it. What a great idea!

I used to be a pro-abort "fanatic", for lack of a better term. I look back on those days and wonder the the HELL I was thinking. There's an entire set of lies a person has to swallow to be virulently pro-abortion. That's one of the things I look back on with REAL regret.

You people seem to get hung up on such unimportant issues.
We have bigger fish to fry these days.

It will be interesting to see how many get sent. This idea has certainly been aruond the world, I believe. I had an e-mail from a missionary in Mexico suggesting it.

Isn't there also the Tea Party on April 1st, where we're to send a tea bag to the white house? Or was it congress? Washington anyway. Red envelope on the 31st, and the tea bag the next day?

Hi, Faith, thanks for being here!
I'm posting on March 30 ....yes, tea bags to the White House! I'll post a reminder!

The Gray Headed Brother's got a very interesting, smart blog and I suggest you go by..(tho I agree with him not a BIT on his hero,Barack Obama..SO SO WISH I could)...But this guy came here and told us "you people" out to get on important issues and his blog's about obama and leno. THAT's important, eh?

Come on, Gray Headed Brother...I hope you come back and we can spar from time to time in a civil and fun manner...but REALLY, that, my man, was RICH! :-)

Boy, that hits the nail on the head!

Great heads-up, Z.

You know Gray Head, just today I heard on TV, an expert say that narcissists have no ability to empathize with others, thereby dismissing any effort to understanding a differing point of you.

As for you people, If the shoe fits.......

Don't you think the time energy and money necessary to do this would be better spent helping to feed, clothe, house and protect deprived children who are already HERE?

I do.

As for tea bags it's a cute idea, but I'd rather send the SOB's an envelope full of LOOSE tea. That might REALLY get their attention, don't you think? ;-)

PS: Support The Christian Children's Fund. I have no idea what their politics may be, but they have been around a good long time, and I've never heard of a blemish on their record.

Z said...

No, I don't, FT.

As for tea, I'd rather send manure, personally.

Z said...

OH, and yes, we need to help foundations like the Christian Children's Fund, too...absolutely.

Since when is the intentional slaughter of the most innocent among us an unimportant issue? I guess you've fooled yourself into thinking that it's not a human life that's at stake when we talk about abortion. And now we have a President who's voted to kill and destroy life at every opportunity.

Hope it gets through to those pro-abortionists in the white house, i doubt it will though, they're real big on diversity and all that, but only in name and for speeches.

I'm already doing the tea party but I hadn't heard about this. I'll take a look.
