Why are Medicare and Medicaid broke?
Would they be less broke if you added a 20% vigorish to private insurers?
Were Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae broken before privatization when they were government agencies?
No, they did a very credible job supplying lower mortgage rates.
Now after Republicans privatized them it got a little messy as they were allowed to join the shenanigans in the "free market"(LMAO).
I put a letter in my box, put up the flag and it gets picked up and delivered across the country for what, $.45?
Delivered anywhere. Can you explain how that is broken?

That was before Barney "Ruubble" Frank and Chris "Special Loans" Dodd, and other Democrats crafted a program to grant low interest mortgages to people who could not pay.

Do you even have a passing clue how Fannie Mae originally functioned?
They did an excellent job of allowing issuers to share risk and therefore lower cost. It's similar to insurance.
Worked like a charm before they decided they had to boost the stock price to satisfy the executives and Kapital. Trying to compete with a criminal enterprise like Countrywide or Ameriquest is not healthy.
Again --- my fringe right brothers and sisters keep ducking this one.

Neither is guaranteeing bad loans. Doesnt competition drive costs down and wouldn't doctors be able to charge less if they didn't have to make up for the losses they incur with Medicare/Medicaid patients? Just asking.
With government distortion of the market the actual cost of healthcare can not be accurately determined.
