Obama uses demonstratable LIES in his TV ad...and keeps them running

Here is an Obama campaign ad saying that Romney, through Bain Capital, was responsible for sending many jobs overseas.  They cite the Washington Post as a reference.  Oops.

The Washington Post gives the Obama people FOUR PINOCCHIOS for LYING...yes, not ME, but the Liberal Washington Post. When the Romney folks saw what Obama was doing, they tried to get the truth known.  HERE is the article about that....read that carefully, you'll be amazed at what Obama tried to pull....until The Washington Post's OWN "Fact Checker" did their homework and came up with the truth.
Here's some of that.............
A better source for Romney’s behavior as an investor might be someone who actually worked on Wall Street, such as former Obama auto czar Steven Rattner. “Bain Capital is not now, nor has it ever been, some kind of Gordon Gekko-like, fire-breathing corporate raider that slashed and burned companies, immolating jobs wherever they appear in its path,” Rattner wrote in Politico this year.    Yup, Steve Rattner, OBAMA's auto czar.
Regarding the outsourcing claims, we have frowned on these before. The Obama campaign rests its case on three examples of Bain-controlled companies sending jobs overseas. But only one of the examples — involving Holson Burns Group — took place when Romney was actively managing Bain Capital.
Regarding the other claims, concerning Canadian electronics maker SMTC Manufacturing and customer service firm Modus Media, the Obama campaign tries to take advantage of a gray area in which Romney had stepped down from Bain — to manage the Salt Lake City Olympics — but had not sold his shares in the firm. We had previously given the Obama campaign Three Pinocchios for such tactics.
The Modus Media case is also not an example of shipping jobs overseas. The company closed one plant in California and transferred the jobs to North Carolina, Washington and Utah. At the same time, it opened an unrelated plant in Mexico. The Obama campaign once trumpeted the fact that we had dinged a conservative Super PAC for making the same leap in logic.
The claim that Romney outsourced jobs as governor is equally overblown.

You see, that Romney was a 'corporate raider' is false.    So, Obama has an ad using the Washington Post as a source that Romney sent jobs overseas, but the Washington Post's own Fact Checker ends its exposure of the lie with:
The Pinocchio Test
The Obama campaign fails to make its case. On just about every level, this ad is misleading, unfair and untrue, from the use of “corporate raider” to its examples of alleged outsourcing.  Simply repeating the same debunked claims won’t make them any more correct.

Think most Americans will only see the ad and not the truth?    You can bet on it.  And then they vote.

You've got to pity the poor schlub...he can't punch above his own weight and his entire life is a Lie...he knows no other way than to BS and embellish everything he does and says.

No accomplishments...not one single successful business venture...not one real job...just a lying parasite his entire life hitched to the Black grievance train to no where.

Obama has outsourced hundreds of thousands of jobs thanks to squashing the pipeline and piling regulations and taxes on businesses so they can no longer make a profit here.

Always On Watch said...

I think that we should all realize that Obama is going to get away with this.

Here in Virginia, these ads are running around the clock! Mr. AOW said this morning, "Those ads really make Obama sound good and Romney sound bad."

IMO, people other than us bloggers are more influenced by television ads than it bears thinking about!

What liberal is actually reading the web sites that we do? Hell, I can't get any liberals that I know to take even a peek at certain "right wing" web site!

How many voters actually read the newspaper beyond the headlines on the front page?

We're right back to the same old problem that we discussed over and over again: PREACHING TO THE CHOIR!

Obama lies for a living. No surprise. Romney will have to take the gloves off and fight back. His campaign can make good use of that The Pinocchio Test photo and rub it in Obama's face.

Z said...

beamish, oops, that's exactly what he said he wouldn't do...AGAIN.

Z said...

AOW, I know....Romney's not making the case and the lies of Obama, like those in this post, aren't known.

But, I think a LOT of people will poll Obama and, in the privacy of their booth, then can go against their 'oh so cool' friends and vote like an adult, for Romney, when nobody's able to say "A REPUBLICAN?"
Don't forget, this hatred for Republicans has been set up in our schools and it's working...
That's what Romney's not even close to fighting..and he'd better.

Imp...you're right....nothing to show for himself.

SF....I spoke to a guy yesterday who has a metal finishing company for military planes (that's what I understood anyway), etc....he said he has new restrictions constantly...CONSTANTLY....if it weren't for his company being the primary provider of whatever it is he does, he'd be gone like all the other companies he knows that have been forced to leave California. All government restrictions aimed at squelching business.

AOW...oh, yes, he is...like I said in my post, most people don't know that it's a lie; imagine quoting from the Post which actually admits it's not true...and continuing to do so?

Actually, I blame the Post, too..if they had any integrity at ALL, they'd be letting this information out on a larger scale than it has. Who looks at Fact Checker?

Conservatives...Romney's just not there yet. I think he needs to throw out EVERY ADVISER HE HAS...EVERY SINGLE ONE and start over with people the likes of a James Carville and Paul Begala. Have you seen Begala's Republican brother? Very smart, very sweet...and not vicious like Paul the liberal...typical.

It's definitely time for Romney to take off the gloves and expose this lying propagandist for what he really is.
What is with Romney an the republicans? Sometimes I think they want Obama to win.
They ad a protest at the Romney Find raiser at the Koch Bros Home pretending to care about the 50,000per plater dinner saying you
could support a family for a year with that money and although that is true the irony is that Moveon.org had a plane flying above with a protest sign.

Z said...

Lisa, Republicans protested the Romney fundraiser?

and moveon had a protest sign when Obama has hugely expensive dinners all the time? I believe the fundraising for Obama while President is 3 times that which Bush ever did....

And yes, sometimes I think they want Obama to win, too....I've thought that since McCain was picked and ran so haphazardly.

We could wipe their bottoms with Romney's win if we tried....if they took the gloves off; they don't need to get ugly (that doesn't go over well from Republicans because the media feasts on that and not the ugliness of Obama's campaign lies)...but they won't. They didn't with McCain and they aren't now.

ROmney needs to get independent, non campaign-weary young people and tell the TRUTH.

Never going to happen...we're about to witness John McPain round 2!

Mitt doesn't have it in him...it's all part of the Mormon DNA....just like the Quakers.

On the off chance that he does get in the liars face...watch the LSM call him disrespectful and a Raccccccccis!!!!

Holder's already explaining his criminality away with the same lame...bullshit.

Lisa said...

No Z Moveon and OWS were protesting. I read about it in our Newspapaer

Pris said...

No matter who was running against Obama, the same tactics would be used against them.

The left has no problem lying. They'll do whatever they have to, to destroy their opponents. If one lie doesn't work, they'll find another and another until one sticks.

So, let's hope that Romney takes off his gloves, and goes for it hard. A prevent defense is not as good as an offense, especially when one is up against a thug!

Z said...

Lisa, sorry, I read your original comment incorrectly...I didn't think the R's were protesting.
Astonishingly ironic that the left was :-)

Pris, if the MEDIA keeps these things to itself, protecting the president from public knowledge, it doesn't matter who the contender is, you're right.

These are scary developments I'd have thought even AMerica-loving liberals would rue.

Imp, the problem is these people are not stupid and they can mischaracterize their lies so beautifully...HOlder is Number1 in THIS class.

Z,
The biggest mistake that Repubs make is worrying about what the MSM says about them. They should make their points and do so without fear of the media. Why should the candidates care what they think about them anyway.

There is nothing the Repubs can say or do to win their favor so don't bother trying. This makes be crazy. It's like trying to impress the popular kids by how you dress and act. They won't let you into their group anyway. You end up selling your soul for no reason. When will candidates wake up and get this through their heads.

These people don't like you and they want you to lose. Accept that and move on.

Most people don't watch them anyway.

"Romney’s Bain Capital invested in companies that moved jobs overseas"

Mitt Romney’s financial company, Bain Capital, invested in a series of firms that specialized in relocating jobs done by American workers to new facilities in low-wage countries like China and India.

During the nearly 15 years that Romney was actively involved in running Bain, a private equity firm that he founded, it owned companies that were pioneers in the practice of shipping work from the United States to overseas call centers and factories making computer components, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission........

Who wouldn't like this?

Congressional Reform Act
of 2012

1. No Tenure / No
Pension. A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no
pay when they're out of office.

2. Congress (past, present future) participates in Social Security.
All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system
immediately.

All future funds flow into the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and participates in the same
health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void effective
12/1/12. The American people did not make this contract with congressmen/women.

Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Congress is an
honor, not a career.

The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work.

8. If they do not vote to balance the budget, they are not eligible for reelection.

9. Terms for HOR: 3, Terms for Senate: 2.
