Do you have a minute for me?

You won't recognize me, of course.  My name was Antonio West and I was the 13-month old child who was shot at point blank range by two teens who were attempting to rob my mother, who was also shot.  A Grand Jury of my mommy's peers from Brunswick GA determined the teens who murdered me will not face the death penalty ... too bad I was given a death sentence for being innocent and defenseless.

My family made the mistake of being white in a 73% non-white neighborhood, but my murder was not ruled a Hate Crime.  Nor did President Obama take so much as a single moment to acknowledge my murder.  No one from the Department of Justice organized any demonstrations for me.

I am one of the youngest murder victims in our great Nation's history, but the media doesn't care to cover the story of my tragic demise, President Obama has no children who could possibly look like me - so he doesn't care, and the media doesn't care because my story is not interesting enough to bring them ratings so they can sell commercial time slots.

There is not a white equivalent of Al Sharpton because if there was he would be declared racist, so there is no one rushing to Brunswick GA to demand justice for me.  There is no White Panther party to put a bounty on the lives of those who murdered me.  I have no voice, I have no representation and unlike those who shot me in the face while I sat innocently in my stroller - I no longer have my life.

So while you are seeking justice for Trayvon, please remember to seek justice for me too. Tell your friends about me, tell your families, get tee shirts with my face on them and make the world pay attention, just like you did for Trayvon.

Thank you

I agree with you post 100 percent.
The President's comments in this regard were repulsive. The Trayvon Martin affair WAS NOT a national tragedy, in fact it was far from it was far from it. There was NO need to call a press conference to stir up the already flames of racial tension. Al Sharpton has been doing a great job on that without the help of the President.
In times of national tragedy we expect our leaders to speak with insight, seriousness, and solemnity. The Trayvon Martin affair isn’t a national . Sure, it's always a tragedy when a 17 year old is killed. Nonetheless, Our Dear leader decided to discuss it yesterday and Obama’s remarks were what was expected. The part that struck me and most others was when he said:
“You know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot, I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago

Obama apparently was chomping at the bit for an opportunity to lecture us about race.. This was the wrong event to use as liftoff for such a lecture. If young black men areńt to be considered a possible safety threat, then young black men are the only ones who can change that perception.

Obama also lectured us on race when he said that “very few African-American men haven’t had the experience of being watched closely in a department store or hearing car door locks click as they approach”.

Obama then called for “all of us to do some soul-searching” in the aftermath of the Zimmerman trial. SOUL-SEARCHING? I don’t have anything in MY “Soul” that needs “SEARCHING” How about "waking up" to the FACT that we have over 4 very HUGE scandals on the burner right now at this very moment. The IRS scandal, the Benghazi scandal, the AP scandal, and the telephone scandal, let alone the problems in Egypt, Israel, Syria, , North Korea, and the President want to talk about Trayvon Martin.
Or why isn't Obama talking about that Muslim Hasan, the killer of 13 servicemen and 32 injured, the the Fort Hood massacre that Obama labeled “workplace violence” rather than terrorism.”! Or was this whole speech another distraction form these scandals? I wouldn’t put that past him.
We have 100's and 100's of our service men getting killed over in that shit hole called Afghanistan and we need Rev. Al Sharpton, and Barack Obama to call for 100's of protests when a man was found to be NOT GUILTY by the best court system in the world?

What?

A city official in Brunswick has been arrested on charges of willfully obstructing law enforcement and influencing a witness in the case involving a 13-month-old boy who was fatally shot last week.

Alan David Tucker, an attorney representing Brunswick city commissioner and mayor pro tem James Henry Brooks Sr., said Brooks was arrested for stepping between police and the mother of 17-year-old suspect De'Marquise Elkins when police tried speaking with her during a court appearance Monday....

And what about 17-year-old Marley Lion?

Marley Lion and Trayvon Martin were both 17 years old when they were shot to death, both unarmed, and both doing nothing illegal.

The difference — Marley Lion is white, and some people claim that race is the reason Martin’s killing was national news but Lion’s is not.

Lion was killed in Charleston, South Carolina, at around 4 am on June 16, 2012. Police found him lying on the ground outside his Nissan Pathfinder, bleeding to death. Before dying he told police that two black males approached his car, one of them shooting him several times.

[...]

Marley is a victim of black gang violence.

Violent crime against white Americans was up 18% last year.

Al Sharpton’s Justice for Trayvon Martin rallies are going to take place today in 100 American cities. The question is, what are these peoplés definition of “justice”? Is it only “justice” then the decision goes their way?
Is this going to be another version of what Obama said yesterday, whos whole speech was another way to agitation and to create violence!
It’s been years since the days of slavery and admit it or not, the Blacks have come a long, long way. Notice I said “SOME”
Lets face it after years, and years of welfare, social programs, hand outs and excuses has had a tremendously negative effect on the black race in America. Blacks under perform nearly across the board when compared with other races. Why? Political correctness, liberal politics, ignorance and hate. It is easier for blacks, as a whole, to blame their station in society on white people for slavery than it is to blame themselves for making bad life decisions. Most people who are not black are taught actions have consequences. Young blacks are taught they can do or say whatever and they will be excused. This is why we are seeing a growing number of brazen attacks by groups of young blacks on whites these days. These young black thugs believe there will be no consequences. But there are consequences, even in the ridiculous world of political correctness. That is why such a large percentage of prisoners are black. Political correctness tells us it’s because of racist judges, police and laws…but the realistic know it is simply because so many blacks commit crimes.
Look at how so many young blacks look and act today. Wearing pants below their asses, tattoos, speaking filthy language or ebonics, loud, immoral, violent, sullen…..it that what Martin Luther King dreamed?

So it’s no surprise for me to read of Obama saying the police in Boston “acted stupidly” when they did not in arresting a belligerent, trash-talking black Harvard professor, or Eric Holder for not prosecuting hate crimes or discrimination when blacks are the perpetrators. And what he said yesterday was so totally off base and out of line. And you better believe a black community organizer who studied at the feet of the racist Reverend Wright for twenty years hates whitey too. It’s what blacks are taught. It is the elephant in the room that nobody wants to acknowledge. Certainly not PC liberals!
I can guarantee you that things are going to turn violent and ugly, and then Obama will blame the White guys! these protesters could not care less about the youth Trayvon Martin. They are using Trayvon’s name as an excuse to run around, break things, rob stores and set fires.

Thank you for posting this, G. I reposted it on my blog.

I just don't understand our President. He could have done so much for our country (I didn't vote for him either time), but, no, he is doing his best to tear us apart. I think he's put race relations back at least 50 years. I don't think my ancestors ever had slaves, but if they did, it didn't affect our family. You can't continue to blame the past for the present. He needs to wake up, as well as his staff.

EVERYBODY:

Remember when Obama said that Trayvon could have been his child? And he got such flack for having said that?

THIS, I believe, is why he said yesterday TRAYVON COULD HAVE BEEN ME.
This wasn't said to help his point; it was superfluous.

BUT, it told Americans who found him so "inartful" in his language with "could have been my son" that he really doesn't give a DAMN what we think.

I honestly do believe that is the ONLY reason he included that.
"F*** them all...now I'm saying THIS because NOTHING the right thinks matters a DAMN to me, so screw 'em....I'll show them."

I hate to sound that bitter or use that kind of language, but...I believe that's why he used that phrase ...
He gained NOTHING yesterday by his shpiel EXCEPT to tell Black Americans he's 100% with THEM.

If that HAD BEEN A PRESIDENTIAL SPEECH AND CALL FOR CALM AND TRUE KINDNESS AND SYMPATHY, HE'D HAVE MENTIONED ZIMMERMAN AND HIS FAMILY AND HOW THIS MUST BE AFFECTING THEM, TOO.

Also, Zimmerman took a black girl to his prom, he had a black business partner, he tutored young black kids for free and went to court to testify for a black homeless man...does the DoJ or Obama NOT KNOW THAT?
He's a RACIST???!!!

By the way: this STAND YOUR GROUND THING: it was NOT part of this trial. Do Holder, Obama and all the Blacks who are now fighting against it aware of that, or are they just hoping we don't realize it and it's a good chance to get it shot down?
And do you all know that STAND YOUR GROUND has helped more Blacks than Whites in Florida courts?

Obama's press conference, of today, confirms why the American people should not have elected a Chicago street hustler as their president. Barak Hussein Obama identifies with a drugged up black thug who was expelled from school and who tried to kill George Zimmerman.

Ahhh...but this is a "role model" he can relate to? Makes sense...he too was a chooming POS in his youth too. However...he had nothing but white "parents" guiding him all the way. Trendy prep schools...scholarships and no where does he act "black" in his earlier years...except to dis his white grandmother who was accosted by a black on her bus on the way to work.

How much more pathetic can Obama be? His whole speech was about the lament of the blacks, and not one sympathetic word about George Zimmerman, that Trayvon tried to kill before he was shot dead.

Folks, we are being conned by this Chicago street hustler, commie, Islamist POS.

Divide us more Obum and you'll have your damn race war...that's what most of us think you're pushing for. It's all straight out of operating manual...Alinsky....DIVIDE THEM ALL!

Leftwing Black Americans are REALLY into this; it's like it gave them reason to beat innocent people(see the articles "this is for Trayvon")
and march, and REALLY fan the racial flames again.

Conservative Black Americans understand the unhappiness of Blacks who DO feel that they are sometimes profiled (I get that, too, by the way) but are urging for CALM; to GROW up and realize this was an accident, and it was proven to be that, and GROW UP!

Between what Obama said yesterday and what his buddy Al Sharpton is doing today and what Holder said a frew days ago, it seems to me like the three stooges are trying very hard to start a race war. It certainly would not surprise me. Every day it gets worse and worse..
Its all over the internet and newspapers and even on our nightly news on TV. I’m looking toward for the riots, the groups in the Hoodies to start burning down the cities and breaking into the stores for their “Free Stuff” ...... .Obama needs to shut the hell up about this and put an end to all of this work to incite racial tensions and violence.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not accusing ALL blacks of doing these things, many blacks realize that education is the key, hard work etc etc and accept that their life is their own responsibility and escape the ghetto and do well in life. The rest just keep repeating the cycle, its easier to live on the Obama hand ours and Free Stuff than bother to work hard. Black Leaders like Al Sharpton want it that way, they want their followers to be lazy and depend on phoney SOB’s like Sharpton. They have already called BILL COSBY, HERMAN CAIN, and CHARLES BARKLY as TRAITORS just like they did with CLARENCE THOMAS because they don’t support their extremists anti-white ideologic. What Obama said yesterday was pathetic. he had better come up with something better than that if he don’t want a race riot to explode. It seems as if is now open season on white people. George Zimmerman Wasn’t on Trial —- ALL WHITE PEOPLE were!
The race-baiting left, both white and black should be ashamed of themselves not to accept the jury’s verdict. They only do so when it fits THEIR cause.
And lastly, I’d like to know, where was Al Sharpton when Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman were slain, and had their throats sliced.

Pris said...

Let me see if I get this straight according to that dipstick holders convoluted "thinking".

He thinks that SYG should be eliminated or severely modified. Meaning that "YOU have a duty TO RETREAT...TO...not FACE..." your attacker...if...you can do so.

So that means that future TM's and Skittles....will / should have to retreat in the face of a Zimmerman in the future?

And if you don't or cannot retreat safely and you shoot, stab, kick or knock the bastard out with a baseball bat....who is going to make the judgement after the fact...that your actions defending yourself where "unnecessary" and you could have retreated?

Who's going to decide what you felt or should have felt?

In GZ's case...the little wise ass TM would be alive if he checked his hood at the door...of dear daddies.

BTW...did anyone know that TM's "daddy" filed a missing person report on TM after the shooting? He didn't know where the kid was??? HUH? Tells me "dad" wasn't anywhere around to "supervise" skittles...nor was his squeeze.

The facts didn’t concern him at all. it’s as simple as that, and just to put his nose into a private case was beyond being precedented!
Traces of the Harvard Professor Gates incident when he called the Police “Stupid”
Please tell me what purpose did that speech serve for a president of this nation to interject himself as he did today other than to help ensure there are more riots over this week-end with Al Sharpton leading the way, and you just know that violence will break out at some of these “Protests” .
Obama: “Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago!” – Cry me a river!

It always puzzles me when we are supposed to be proud or happy that people behaved in a civil manner when that's the bare minimum expectation for their behavior.

It's like being proud of your kids if they are polite and respectful. NO! They are supposed to be polite and respectful without expectation of reward.

The only reason we could be proud about the lack of riots is because we've come to accept such behavior as the norm. And it is that acceptance of bad behavior, and even rewarding of it, that is the key to cultural decline.

Imp, didn't the kid get sent out for stuff to eat while they watched some kind of game? I think the dad was pretty sure that he was on his way back home for the game.
What he didn't know was, or think about, was that he had a kid that angry that he'd want to beat on someone looking at him. Or that he had a kid who didn't just walk home but looked like he was aimlessly looking around in the RAIN...why?.
I'm pretty sure that if TM had been walking with purpose back home, GZ wouldn't have thought twice about him.

So, I wonder what Obama learned in the past 35 years
and I wonder what all the other Blacks have learned since then. Judging from the statistics like these below, I’d say that they haven’t learned too much!

1) Being black and walking towards me I would be aware that:
Blacks are (7) seven times more likely than people of other races to commit murder, and
(8) eight times more likely to commit robbery.

2) And if you hand your hands in your hoodie, since
Blacks are (3) three times more likely to use a hand gun, and twice more likely to use a knife.

3) and knowing that Blacks are 39 times more likely to commit a violent crime against whites then vice versa,
and 136 times more likely to commit a robbery.
I would definitely 35 years ago look at you very suspiciously!!!!

4) (45%) Forty-five percent of black crime is against whites, 43 against other blacks, and 10 percent against Hispanic.

5) Blacks are seven times more likely to go to prison, Hispanics three times, and the reason is clear,
because from 1980 to 2003 the US incarceration rate has tripled, and so proves that Justice is not only hard won, but well served.

Federal Statistics of black on white violence, with links and mathematical extrapolation formulas. - Lafayette Political Buzz | Examiner.com

SO Obama YES I would be the vast majority of people "BLACKS" included that would be nervous if especially at night, YOU
would be walking towards me wearing a hoodie, your hand in your pocket and if I stopped you as a neighborhood watch volunteer
and ask you some simply question AND YOU JUMPED ME beating my head (visible damages!!) I would be probably if living
in the neighborhood been a lot like the Hispanic Zimmerman!

SO Obama once again you've done more harm then good! It's too bad you've not learned in the past 35 years

Beamish..I'm tired of your trying to get your comments to stay when you are that calloused and I've asked you to stop before..

Either Trayvon Martin was killed by someone defending himself, or he was not. Since it is abundantly clear that Trayvon Martin was removed from this Earth via an act of self-defense, his death was in no way, shape, or form a "tragedy."

Sure, there's tragedy in Trayvon's lack of positive parental guidance, but it was Trayvon Martin that enjoyed getting into fights. It was Trayvon Martin who broke into lockers and storages areas at his school to steal jewelry from female students. It was Trayvon Martin who carried burglary tools to school. It was Trayvon Martin with the marijuana and pipe in his possession. It was Trayvon Martin that brought a punkass to a gunfight.

The only tragedy here is that you feel worse about his death than his own parents ever did or will.

But, still, not a tragedy. We're down one scumbag. Rejoice!

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

Was Saddam Hussein's death "tragic?" Osama bin Laden's? John Wayne Gacy's?

Yes, it IS a tragedy: I don't need to break down what part of it is or isn't; that two guys got involved in this and one died is a tragedy.
His parents do care; I find it a tragedy you don't think a mother cares that her son died.

If you think I'm going to play "parse the sentences" and tear apart every little bit with "this is a tragedy, that part isn't...oh, but THIS is tragic", you're mistaken.

I don't consider Trayvon Martin an osama bin laden, or a Gacy or a Hitler, for that matter.
That you do is troubling.

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

...and if George Zimmerman is, in Z's demented and perverse view, "responsible for a tragedy," what do we do to prevent such "tragedies" in the future? Ban private handgun ownership? What might that be based on?

A bombshell report published Thursday by Investor’s Business Daily shows that the immigration reform bill would set aside hundreds of millions of dollars for La Raza and other liberal immigrants’ rights groups, which the federal government would contract to assist future U.S. citizens with applications and offer them legal advice.

In a separate little-noticed section of the legislation, senators propose to rewrite the laws against counterfeiting passports and the materials used to obtain them. Those new laws would set a legal threshold of 10 phony passports before a fraudster could be prosecuted for buying, selling or using counterfeit materials used to produce such fake documents.

Another section would exclude serial drunk-drivers from gaining a path to citizenship, but only after they rack up a third DUI offense.

The report came from the American Media Institute (AMI), an investigative journalism service.

‘An alien convicted of 3 or more offenses for driving under the influence or driving while intoxicated on separate dates is inadmissible’ to the United States on a legal basis, the bill’s text reads.

But ‘[t]wo prior convictions for this offense,’ the AMI reported, ‘would not disqualify an immigrant for legalization.’

And of the language that applies to ‘selling or forging materials used in making passports,’ the organization adds, ‘the bill says 10 such instances are verboten, [but] that nine won’t be a problem.’

The slush fund language, however, ‘may be the real point of the legislation,’ AMI contends.

‘This seems likely since the bill was steered through the Senate by the Obama White House. Overseeing a team of executive branch bill-drafters ensconced in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, guiding the legislative process, was Obama director of domestic policy Cecilia Munoz, the leading presidential staffer on immigration issues.

Before joining the Obama administration, Munoz was La Raza’s top policy analyst. La Raza did not return a phone call on Thursday seeking comment.

AMI calculated that several different pots of taxpayer dollars set aside for immigrants’ rights groups, all on the political left, ‘would total almost $300 million over three years and grow over time.’

Those include a $50 million set-aside for grants to organizations that will advertise benefits available to illegal immigrants, and to help them fill out paperwork.

Ummmm....what were we saying while Obama was bullshitting us about Trayvon?

@Z:

Lot's of distractions Z...this was another one of them. The rug is literally being pulled out from under us while we focus on this supermarket checkout stuff...and La Raza...the Race is doing a takeover.

And the IRS, NSA, Benghazi, F&F voter fraud all fall asleep in congress.

And the master manipulators like Hillary are set to be our masters again.

I swear..we are heading over the cliff...and we will have some sort of revolution.

that's what I thought you meant.......
yes, lots going on while they've got the masses focused on more unimportant stuff.

they're maestros at this.

Momma Travon...never had it so good..is she thanking TM for her new found stardom?

Kicking off a day of nationwide protests of the George Zimmerman verdict, hip-hop stars Beyonce and Jay-Z joined Al Sharpton and Trayvon Martin's mother at a rally in Harlem Saturday.
Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake dedicated a song to Trayvon Martin during their concert at Yankee Stadium Friday night.

In a video captured by a member of the audience, as the couple began their last song of the evening - "Forever Young" - Jay-Z yelled to the crowd, "Everybody put a cell phone and light it up. Let's light the sky for Trayvon Martin tonight in here"

“We have moved on from the verdict,” Sybrina Fulton told a crowd at the National Action Network on W. 145th Street.

“Of course we are hurting,” she added. “Of course we are shocked and disappointed, but that just means we have to roll up our sleeves and continue to fight.” [...]

His mother, wearing a shirt with an image of her late teenage son, stood with the Rev. Al Sharpton during a morning rally that continued to One Police Plaza at noon. They were joined at One Police Plaza by rapper Jay Z and wife Beyonce.

This week, George Zimmerman prosecution witness Rachel Jeantel informed America that "n--ga" isn't racist as long as it ends with an "a" and not an "er."

Defying this rule Friday was Salon culture critic Rich Benjamin who actually asked, "Is Holder the president’s conscience? Or his Inner N--ger?"

They're all having a ball...next they'll be wearing colored armbands fot TM ( they have T shirts an posters already....maybe they'll find a rap tune TM did for Twitte?) like they do for Aids and Gays.

Imp, you really think there's a mother who didn't love her kid enough to get off on this stuff?

These are all dupes who don't know the law and haven't allowed themselves to hear the truth.

She's one of them. But I do not believe she's thrilled .. I don't believe she still doesn't cry for her son.

See Imp's post and read it carefully, Z.

Trayvon's mommy is partying it up with celebrities now that she's "moved on from the verdict." I dare say she's more happy the little dirtbag is dead than the rest of us.

This ain't no tragedy. This is absurdia.

I mean, damn, even Cindy Sheehan quietly grieved for a while before she went on her make-an-ass-of-herself tour.

Z said...

what part of my comment makes you think I don't READ, beamish?

Trayvon's mother (and Dad) is being used by the revelers who are USING THEM to rev up the 'cause'.

That they're with those people doesn't mean they're partying. They're there as symbols of this idiot cause. Their being with the celebs absolutely casts no doubt on their affection for their son. If anything, you should understand that they believe in this cause, too, and have said they hope their son is used to further this cause.
Whether you or I like the fact that even the parents don't understand what really happened doesn't take away from that truth.

Anybody on this planet who doesn't think this mother is sorry her son is dead deserves some kind of term I can't even think of.

my God.

Cindy Sheehan is probably still grieving for HER SON.
That's an excellent comparison. She used his death to promote her cause...didn't mean she didn't grieve and is still grieving. NOW you get it?

goodnight.
