Z - Beautiful pictures - as usual.

Is Ms. Z still on her sailing trip?
I keep her in my prayers.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

thanks for that, AOW....you nominated some great people there and I'm proud to be amongst them.

Sue, yes! Believe it or not, she's fast approaching the 14th month of this trip; plans to get very slowly and enjoyably, finally, to New Zealand...she'll probably be here in LA in January on her way home to Munich and has 2 talks scheduled for a sailing group here in the Marina del Rey, and a private school!
thanks SO MUCh for keeping her in your prayers! I told her I used two of her pictures today so I'm sure she'll see your comment and your kindness..and REALLY appreciate that!

Z,
This award is something to have fun with. Heaven knows that we can all use a break from all the grimness.

I am starting to wonder about the work ethic bit. It is important to help the poor but the idea is for them to get back on their feet.

The notion of theological studies on the dole is alien.

Z said...

beak...there's very little work ethic left anywhere.
not sure what you mean about alien theological studies "on the dole"?

Ed, thanks SO much.

EVERYONE: "L" is at UCLA and was told by her doctor yesterday that when she first came in with the post-surgery infection it really scared HIM! The hyperbaric chamber is helping a lot and we'll know much more from the Chief Surgeon who's been out of town TOMORROW. Thanks so much for your prayers; she's SO grateful.

AOW...so our answers to those questions, if we choose to do them, are published?

I was wondering what I was missing with Beak's comment, maybe referring to a deleted comment.
Still wondering.

In the beginning
God created the Heavens and the Earth
The Earth was without form, and void
Darkness was upon the face of the deep and
The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
God said, "Let there be light..."

Even when I was a little guy, I have always read the first creation story in Genesis as poetry. I have never viewed those words as a chronology of the creation, but as a way for man to describe that creation. Poetry is an expression of the human experience, and when we cannot explain something, or our language fails us, poets find a way to say what sometimes needs to be said.

The pics you posted are poems, too. They evoke emotion, and a realization that we are not alone, irrespective of some Science Channel invocation of space aliens.

Thanks for the post. God bless you and yours this week.

Geez,
You create a post similar to the one that I did -- except that you substitute my questions for the ones that Maggie asked. You answer those questions on your own blog.

Then you tag someone else with questions of your own design.

Or any variation of the above.

Beautiful photos Z,

Wow, almost 14 months? I wonder how her land legs are! HaHa.

Actually, I admire Ms.Z for her adventuresome nature. She has no doubt learned a lot, and had an exciting time.

The primary goal of Marxism has always been to DESTROY The Protestant Work Ethic, which BUILT this country and supplant it with

"You OWE me BIG TIME, you lousy stinkin' FAT CAT, so GIVE me MORE, and do it NOW."

Aside from the general obnoxiousness of that attitude, the "Demanders" never seem to have realized that there will be nothing left to EXTRACT -- forcibly or otherwise -- from the "Fat Cats" once their coveted resources have been depleted.

The ONLY possible result once a Marxist Dictatorship has been established in any given society is MUTUALLY-SHARED POVERTY.

Enjoy that wonderful break!

At least Z could have left an open thread blog so we can continue to trash Ducky and other nere-do-wells.

Of course, we can keep dropping comments on this one just to keep the electrons active.
