Alley Mills in bed with Patrick Duffy???

Her very proud husband, and my friend, Orson Bean, thought my readers might like to see his wife, my friend Alley, getting under the sheets (or maybe on TOP, considering this is a daytime soap opera?!:-) with Patrick Duffy on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL! Things are steaming up between them and you're going to want to watch...AREN'T YOU?! I hope so! She's a terrific actress (Mom on THE WONDER YEARS and several other things, of course) and you all know Patrick Duffy, too! Just thought I'd mention it.........it's not OFTEN your friend makes love to another man ON TELEVISION and her husband emails to remind you to watch it all go down! (ummmm........never mind)

Brooke, I love your avatar!

Ducky, are you fixated on LOST? I finally found out what it was while watching some show that said the ending was confusing?
Are you still confused?

Woman, heh heh!

Is Alley any relation to the great British actor John Mills and his daughter Hayley, who was a great child star in the late 1950's and early '60's?

She looks lovely in any case.

Now, now Froggy be nice. We all need a little junk food now and again.

Sometimes it's okay to have some sweet potato fries with your veggie burger.

Good guess, FT, but no, she's not.
She's a very lovely woman and a very dear friend.
YOU of all people would ADORE ORSON, he is so sharp and tells THE best stories EVER...all about early days in radio TV stage, film....Man, he's wonderful! You and I could sit at his feet and have him regale us with old stories about stuff we love for MONTHS! :-)

Hi, Z.

I remember Orson Bean from the early days of television. He was a good-looking young man then, and wonderfully droll in an understated sort of way. He was very popular -- for a while -- then I didn't hear about him for years till you mentioned him here some time ago.

I take it as a compliment that you think I'd appreciate knowing him. Thank you. I'm sure I would.

How nice that you have this lovely friendship!

FT, it is nice. He is BRILLIANT. He has done films here and there for years, and was on WHAT'S MY LINE or TO TELL THE TRUTH...not sure.
FT, he knew EVERYBODY in the great days of theater and old radio. He's obviously older now but smart as he was when he was 19 and such a good story teller...
he's very involved in theater and does some off Broadway stuff plus he's involved with an excellent theater here in Venice, CA....
I believe I heard he'll be doing a Broadway play or is considering it....
Yes it's a compliment that you'd like Orson.......
you and I love the kinds of stuff he talks about...I KNOW you'd flip over his remembrances.......(and he remembers EVERYTHING!! and it's NEVER BORING!)

Hi again, Z.

I snatched this intriguing quote from Wiki:

Though blacklisted for his outspoken liberal views in the early 1950s, he had become an ardent supporter of Richard Nixon during the 1968 Presidential election year. Nixon had been a notorious "Red-Baiter" in the 1940s and '50s.

Don't you love the way Wiki puts things? but apparently it's true that Orson started out as what-we-might-call "a flaming liberal," and got into trouble for it during the McCarthy Era.

I'm so glad he saw the light, and supported Nixon later on.

Any relative of Cal Coolidge could not possibly stay a liberal too long. ;-)

Yes, Orson admits he was a liberal....young and impressionable and hanging out with other lib actors, etc....
He certainly is no lib now...he's on the Dennis Miller radio show once I week, I think.
