President Obama in Hawaii......on vacation

The following quotes got me from THIS ARTICLE:

"On the president's reading vacation reading list: "President Reagan: The Role of a Lifetime," Lou Cannon's biography of the Republican president.
The president's vacation won't be all rest and relaxation. He was to be briefed by advisers daily, and he also planned to spend time working on his State of the Union address, scheduled in January, and a staff review headed by interim chief of staff Pete Rouse"

A book about Reagan....please, God, let some of Reagan rub off on Mr. Obama.
And then the press reminds us that his trip "won't be all rest and relaxation...he'll be briefed..."   But, when Mr. Bush vacationed, it was all about "There he goes again.."    The hypocrisy never stops.

Well, I wish him and his family a Merry Christmas.   I wish you one, too.

He needs a vacation before dealing with the new Congress. That's when the hair is going turn a lot more grey :)

He's reading a bio of Reagan and I put the Communist Manifesto on my kindle. Weird things can happen :)

Z,

Obama will be delivering his SOTU address in front of a live audience of politicians, a little over half of them Republicans. Broadcast live to a nation of states governed by mostly Republican Governors with mostly Republican controlled state legislatures, and well over half the population chompin' at the bit
to vote Obama out in 2012, with solidly red states gaining electoral college votes lost by blue states as a result of population shifts indicated in the 2010 census.

Good cheer. Happy New Year :)

You do realize, Ronald Reagan would get primaried by a teabagger in today's Republican Party. I mean, he ended up raising taxes three times and granted full amnesty to 5M illegals. RINO!

I'm sorry to hear you're in such pain, Z. I sincerely hope you get some relief.

Merry Christmas to you and all the Geeez-its who visit here.

Happy yule/winter solstice to all my pagan friends.

FB...that is weird!

Beamish, THAT IS good cheer.!

Craig, Reagan made America proud and I'd give a lot to have that back, even a RINO. We're a 'big tent'party...maybe TOO big as you never heard Dems criticize each other in public, until Obama (come to think of it), and Reps always do, we're big on ideas not just party.. the 'pagan friends' thing is cute..5% or so of Americans don't profess to celebrate Christmas and you've probably got that 5% as friends, right? Do they get intimidated by a Christmas tree? Tell them to buck up!! :-)

Merry Christmas, everybody.

From the editorial review of the book (Amazon.com):

Cannon's book is full of wise analysis and sound observation. He explains Reagan's success convincingly...

IMO, Obama is looking for a way to imitate Reagan's success and popularity -- without emulating Reagan's policies. Yeah, call my cynical.

What part of Reagan would you like to see rub off?

Amnesty for illegals?

The cut and run in Lebanon where he encouraged terrorism?

Financial deregulation which started the destruction of the economy?

Just which one of that fool's policies would you like to see?

What of Reagan should rub off on Obama? Maybe the strategy for dealing with America's biggest threat, which in Reagan's day was Communism and for Obama is Islam. Reagan's goal: "We win, they lose." I can't picture Obama saying the same.

Was it impolitic of me to not qualify Islam with "radical" or "militant"?

Was it impolitic of me to not qualify Communism with "radical" or "militant"?

Anyway, Merry Christmas to you Z and all your reader. Hope it's a joyous one if not a comfortable one.

AOW, that has to be it...Obama's been far too indoctrinated by liberal hate-Reagan thinking to ever actually think he could, let alone would, emulate Reagan's policies; and we know he's not a third the man Reagan was as far as standing up for America, loving America, etc....

Tio, thanks...your comment was just what I needed to feel a little bit better this morning. Thanks for remembering I"m not well...i'm very touched. Please hug your dear ol' Dad on Christmas for me...he's a super guy,

Next on Mindless Leftist Theater...

Watch Craig and Ducky try to sell each other the idea that Reagan was a RINO in line with their progressive agenda to destroy America.

If you believe THAT one, I've got a health care policy I'd like to sell ya!!

Merry Christmas ya'll

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.

An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.

Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

Beamish, so true! :-)

Scotty, I thought the same thing...as if Obama's even deign to read anything positive about Reagan!!?

Funny, some Imam's coming to America to push the NY CITY 9/11 mosque idea....he'll be in Detroit and (you'll love this) speaking at Harvard and Yale to convince people of its importance.
As if he has to CONVINCE nonthinking liberals that it's a great idea to build a mosque celebrating the philosophy which murdered 3000 Americans practically next door to the murder site?
Honestly, you can't make this up.

When the news this AM announced Harvard and Yale, I cracked up. BIG BRAVE IMAM, huh? :-)

WOW, a friend gave me an AMERICAN PATRIOT'S BIBLE and I was glancing thru it and saw this appropo my last comment!!

"Let every student be plainly instructed, and earnestly pressed to consider well, the main end of his life and studies is, to know God and Jesus Christ which is eternal life and therefore lay Christ at the bottom, as the only foundation of all sound knowledge and learning." Harvard University's "Rules and Precepts"!!

Ya, but instead they've gone from that to mostly completely immoral, drug-snortin',basic tenet-ignoring students who are 'just too smart' for this kind of stuff :-)

Princeton, Yale, COllege of Wm and Mary......even MORE Christian writings in their foundings:

Princeton: "Cursed is all learning that is contrary to the Cross of Christ"
Well, we sure do have a cursed bunch of generations since that stopped, don't we.

Hi Z,

Pray you will feel better.. and have a blessed time celebrating the birth, death and resurrection of our Savior.

BO and Reagan book -- it is all a scam -- a publicity scam -- just as genuine and true as Bill Clinton's "I never had...."
He will never open the book.. His handlers do this to convince the ignorati that he is moderating from his Marxism Islamism..
Don't buy it!!

Feel better, Z -- praying for you.
In Jesus Christ eternally, Jack

Not exactly, Pris. Only if you hold to the idea of exceptionalism.

Raygun was good at mouthing the cliches but amnesty, arms for hostages, economic deregulation and putting the marines in an indefensible position to bail out that clown Arial Sharon well ... Raygun was talked a good game. Little of it was true.

obongo reading a book about Reagan, please, i'll believe that when i get proof. Experience has taught me leftards are all about spin, bs and nothing much else. Well, there is the moral bankruptcy and the infidelity, but they think those are good qualities.

Z said...

it was all true, Ducky, but you can't bring yourself to believe in goodness and optimism and...exceptionalism.
of course, America is exceptional..how many times do I have to ask which country IS exceptional before you disappear from geeeez forever? Since you can't respond, you always disappear a day or two. Sad.

MK..obama wouldn't know good qualities if they bit him in the butt

Z,

Ducky and the left will never forgive Reagan for the reduction of the leftist effort to slaughter other human beings to abortion and the occasional socialist going nuts and shooting up a Holocaust Museum.

Ducky I do hold to the idea of exceptionalism.
It's a shame you can't see the big picture.
