Standards for student minimum test scores and test performance, on the other hand, will be LOWERED to accommodate the failure of unionized educators to edumacate.

And I heard about the new law that everybody underwater and in danger of mortgage default will be able to take out an extra 20% home equity loan to help make those mortgage payments.

HOPE! CHANGE!

Opus, that is INSANE........is that a joke? Where's that 20% coming from?!

That cartoon is great! It really is symptomatic of what has been going on in our society for decades. The latest thing in Georgia is that the lottery funded Hope Scholarship program is not able to fund college scholarships for all students, anymore.

For 100% tuition aid, SAT scores must be at least 1200, and the student must maintain a 3.7 GPA instead of the former required 3.0. Students with lesser scores will receive less.

This not only drastically cuts HOPE scholarship outlays, it drastically cuts revenue to state institutions.

Look for more grade inflation as colleges and universities strive to maintain their revenue. Look for SAT cheating, too, if that can be done.

Crazy isn't it, but unfortunately that's what has to be done. Stop the beast from crashing then starve it till its ribs are showing.

The liberal mindset is: if something is bad and isn't working, do more of it and it will become good and will work.

Real brain power, don't you think?
