I have photos of chocolate on my blog as well.
I have given up giving up things for Lent.
Fax me over some of that chocolate, will you please?
Doesn't chocolate smell lovely, too?
Good for you, on keeping your vow. It is not easy to do these things, but I guess it build character and so forth.
I just got to thinking about a saucepan of cocoa and sugar and milk, bubbling away on a burner.
My mom used to make that chocolate fudge from the recipe on back of the Hershey's cocoa can.
You know the one, where you go through the soft ball, hard ball stage for testing the consistency of the fudge.
That stuff was so rich ..makes my teeth hurt to think about it.
Just one tiny piece is about all I could manage, with a nice glass of milk.
I like those Cadbury Eggs , the chocolate ones with the "yolk" but gee, I can eat maybe one of those per every five years. They are so rich.
Ah, chocolate.
WVDOTTR
Ya, WV.....it feels good to have made it through without giving in which, of course, is the point...not just depriving oneself.
i will do this again next year..hadn't done it since I was a kid.
Chocolate isn't my BIG favorite thing, but it's become one NOT being able to...which i think is another point to the whole thing!
What was rough was getting chocolate candies for others...children I know, friends, Mr. Z (shhh!), etc.!!
And HE WILL have dark chocolate for me on Sunday morning.
WON'T YOU, HONEY! (Smile)
I see clearance shelf chocolate Easter bunnies in your future, Z.
Beamish; if it's 'clearance shelf Easter bunnies', Mr. Z's sleeping by himself for a month! (Smile!)
Z,
Complain about no salt on a free meal eh?
;)
Perhaps a trip to the Land of Chocolate?

I'm afraid Hershey Park doesn't open until Memorial Day, Z.
Well Z, by my clock, it's 10:30AM. You have 13 1/2 more hours, then you're home free. I assume you'll be waiting up for the Easter Bunny?
Pris
You know, Pris, I didn't even think of that....might be!
Z, I know about ringing in the New Year, but Easter? Ha, Ha
Oh dear, more pressure on Mr. Z...er..the Easter Bunny!
Pris
Pris, it was so funny!
Easter Eve, I said "I have chocolates for YOU, too..and a card!" (knowing full well that, tho he's usually great with cards, Easter isn't necessarily a time for cards, right? just to rib him!?) and he looked stunned!
I said "Honey, I'm kidding.chocolates will do!" HAA!!!
