Turkey and Tornados.......curious Times

There's a certain blog you might want read to learn about a magazine published in North Carolina. Check it out!

Imagine that published here? Wouldn't we figure that anybody associated with an ideology so against OURS might need investigation? Instead, there they are... publishing? WHAT?

By the way...here's a clip from Obama's speech today (the link has it in its entirety):

"Let me be clear: the United States strongly supports Turkey’s bid to become a member of the European Union. We speak not as members of the EU, but as close friends of Turkey and Europe. Turkey has been a resolute ally and a responsible partner in transatlantic and European institutions."

But, Mr. Obama...Turkey, the only majority Muslim country in NATO, refused use of its territory as an invasion route to Iraq....Is that "resolute and responsible?" Oh, then there's this statement in the speech: "Finally, we share the common goal of denying al Qaeda a safe-haven in Pakistan or Afghanistan." Ain't THAT rich? You'd think denying them safe-haven HERE might be a priority FIRST?

Obama also said "Centuries of shared history, culture, and commerce bring you together. Europe gains by diversity of ethnicity, tradition and faith – it is not diminished by it." Anybody know their European history enough to remember how muslims treated Europe over the centuries? How's about talking about the Armenian problem? Mr. Obama promised to make sure Turkey would finally admit to the massacres but, today, he's leaving that to Turkey and Armenia. THAT's worked before, huh? And, don't forget; one of the things keeping Turkey out of the EU is the EU's disgust that Turkey hasn't admitted guilt of the Armenian genocide. Today, Mr. Obama's pushing for EU admittance...which will make Europe a caliphate within 10 years (sort of like their plans over the last centuries, come to think of it)...I'm not sure he knows that citizens in countries within the EU don't need passports to travel within EU countries. Let that sink in.

Meanwhile, is it "resolute and responsible" to allow a terrorist magazine to be published here!? Or can we even CALL it "terrorist"? Maybe it's just a "Man Called Disaster Publication", huh? Sort of like the "Tornado Times"?

More: "The United States has been enriched by Muslim Americans. Many other Americans have Muslims in their family, or have lived in a Muslim-majority country – I know, because I am one of them."

Houston, we have a problem.

The editors provide an interesting disclaimer (naturally); and you also might find "comments" interesting. I have no doubt these people enjoy the protection of the First Amendment; I only wonder if a pro-Jewish or Christian magazine, advocating a new Holy Crusade, would fair as well in the courts.

Of course, I am not suggesting that anyone leave any nasty comments ... especially The Average American, who keeps a loaded shotgun in his study.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the URL is anonymouse.org. What kind of pro-Jihad crap is that? No guts, no glory, eh?

Here's the disclaimer: "As a disclaimer, this magazine only intends to educate Muslims on their creed, political opinions of individual thinkers and writers, current events in light of objective criticism, as well as provide them with a source of understanding the battles in the international arena"

Doesn't that make us all feel better?!!

Mustang..great point! Let's start a "Christian" magazine, published and written only by those nuts who've murdered abortion doctors, so every American can 'understand the battles' in this arena, huH? Think THAT'd fly?

The sidebar has a running tally of Iraqis dead because of the US "Invasion"...did you know it's now hit 1,320,110?

z obama's defense of gitmo detainees may betray your belief he finds al qaeda to be our enemy. i think he may define them as being "angry" at us! and if we are only "nicer" to then then we will win their hearts.

Wonder if the al-qaeda magazine has a fashion section and music/film reviews.

"“I know that the trust that binds us has been strained, and I know that strain is shared in many places where the Muslim faith is practiced,”"

Trust has been strained? I can't imagine why, when 3000 innocent people were murdered on 9-11, and those threats keep pouring in!!

But, Mr. President, you just keep bowing low from the waist, and begging forgiveness, that'll solve the problem.

Can you hear Bin Ladin laughing at this? I can. The Jihadists around the world are feeling their oats now.

Excuse me Mr. Obama, don't apologize for me. As always talk is cheap, and you send a message of weakness and cowardice I don't accept as an American.

Why not just wave the white flag and get it over with? God help us.

I would add here, that Turkey's resultant disallowance for us to use Turkey as a base and point of entrance into Iraq, was brought about by France's threat that if they did, Turkey's acceptance into the EU would be delayed indefinitely. Chirac's fingerprints were all over that decision.

The hate America crowd is in charge, and are perfectly willing to throw America under the bus. What better for them than to ally with another hate America crowd called Jihadists?

Whether they're smart enough to realize the ramifications of what they're doing, is another matter.

It's clear they've learned nothing from history, and aren't about to start now.

Ducky, you can be cavalier about all this if you want, but this is serious business. It's a game of life and death, not a movie.

What the Obama means is that Turkey is his friend and ally, but not necessarily ours.

Ducky's here said...

Pris if you think some bozo in North Carolina publishing some sheet and making his subscription list available to the Feds is a problem then you have moved beyond paranoia.

Someone should volunteer to do an "Ask the Prophet" column.

American Al Qaeda In Somalia Hold Press Conference

Two young Americans who left their homes to join an Al Qaeda-linked terrorist group in Somalia held a rare “press conference” in Southern Somalia on Monday, saying they want to be killed “for the sake of God,” according to a U.S. law enforcement official and a video posted on a Somali news Web site.

For several months the FBI has been investigating at least 20 Somali-American men from the Minneapolis area and elsewhere in the United States who traveled to war-torn Somalia to join the terrorist group al-Shabaab, which has been warring with the moderate Somali government since 2006.

Last month, a source familiar with the FBI investigation told FOX News that “several” of the men had returned to the United States, while others “are still there [in Somalia].” Today is the first time any of these men have spoken publicly.

“We came from the U.S. with a good life and a good education, but we came to fight alongside our brothers of al-Shabaab … to be killed for the sake of God,” one man said in the video, as translated by Omar Jamal, the executive director of the Somali Justice Advocacy Center in St. Paul, Minn.

In the video, two men, identifying themselves as Abu-Muslim and Abu Yaxye, say they are “Somali youth” from the United States who are now stationed near the city of Kismayo, more than 300 miles southwest of Mogadishu, according to Jamal. The men say they are talking to media for the first time so others can learn why they joined al-Shabaab, he said.

A spokesman from the FBI Field Office in Minneapolis, E.K. Wilson, said he is “aware of the video,” which was posted on the Web site dowladnimo.com. He said the video was first brought to his office’s attention early Sunday.

Turks are also a pain in Europe's behind (I am being as PC as I possibly can here). Turks in Belgium for example...living the socialist dream and sucking welfare pots dry.

Forget trying to make sense of BHO, particularly with regard to anything other than pursuing kumbaya.

BTW, the Arabs hate the Turks. I can't imagine that Saudi is pleased with BHO's overtures in Turkey.

As for the NC magazine, well, we are not even 9 full years past 9/11 and already many have apparently forgotten exactly who was responsible for the attacks: Al Qaeda.

First Amendment rights are not unlimited. Try crying "Crime!" and see how fast you get hauled in for filing a false report.

Now, if -- God forbid -- there should be an American Beslan in that region of North Carolina, somebody will pay attention. People will look back and say, "Oh, we should have paid attention." Until then, the magazine and/or web site will spout off indiscriminately and with Constitutional protection.

Daffy is very disturbed. This is true of anyone who makes light of the fact that three-thousand people lost their lives. It is true of anyone who denounces individuals who dare to express their concerns about our national security. Now of course, he wishes to refer to Pris as paranoid; but as we have seen, people who really are targets of terrorism are reasonably fearful. Here is a man who does not attempt to understand the feelings of Americans, but he exudes overwhelming sympathy for terrorists. But Z … we should not be amazed at this. He is an American-hating leftist, after all.

technically turkey is a secular, not a muslim country. however, that's only a technicality. they have straddled that line in the hopes of it allowing them admittance into the eu.

that said, aow is right - until there is a "problem," they get to enjoy all of the protections of the constitution. that same constitution they use as a battering ram to stop all discussion of their "religion" that they don't like.

and i maintain that islam is NOT a religion, but rather a socio-government-economic system that is patently unable to coexist with any religion other than itself. for example (from the blog rules for the magazine) rule number 7:

8. Preaching your Religion (other than Islaam) or sect (i.e., Sufi, Shi’a, “Salafi”, “Moderate” etc.) is not tolerated. If you want to know why we don’t follow any Religion (or sect) other than Islaam, then kindly ask and we can discuss. We reject all Religions and deviant sects and see them as blasphemy except for the pure Islaam (of Ahl as-Sunnah i.e., Sunni). In addition, please do not bother with copying and pasting verses from your Holy Book; the Qur’aan is much more beautiful than any Book in existence and there will never be a Book more beautiful than the Qur’aan.

perfect. yes, they are open and accepting. uh huh. they tell you right there that even if you are muslim who considers himself (or herself) "moderate" you are not truly a muslim, but scum under their feet.

According to Beak, it took Duck a few days even to admit who attacked us on 9/11. Apparently Duck didn't want to believe that Moslems were capable of violence.

Always, after all the years of terrible violence across Europe and to Armenia, etc?
Well, one has to know the history, doesn't one.
