IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT
I'LL SHOW YOU HOW TO WALK THE DOG

yes, sorry, but I couldn't resist having a little fun here!

But, I'll tell you what; that older daughter of his is one pretty little girl.

Oh, that is a funny one...and the pup is only six months old. Whatever will it be like later. I'm sure he'll fly a dog trainer in from somewhere to get him under control.

The dog is cute though.

Z said...

The dog's really cute, too, you're right. But, isn't that a BIG dog for only 6 months? When I first saw it yesterday I wondered why they'd got a grown dog! YIkes!

Maybe they'll fly the veterinarian in from Miami, ya think!?

portuguese water dogs are pretty big - not quite as big as our english mastiff, but...

how much you wanna bet that we'll be paying for the dog trainer right along with michelle's makeup artist. a makeup artist is the tax payer's responsibility?

then why hasn't any other first lady ever had one? and why isn't anyone in the media commenting on this when they went to town about palin's wardrobe - and that wasn't even paid for by taxpayers.

ugh.

I wished he fell flat on his face from this.

He's also got bad taste in dogs, but hey, at least this one looks better than Michelle.

TMW..I could make SUCH a 'joke' here, but I'm going to let that one go!! xx

Good point, BZ.

Did you all hear that CNN 'journalist' say, at one of the Tea Parties, that they have to go back to the CNN Headquarters now because 'this isn't for family viewing?" Can someone tell me what wasn't FAMILY VIEWING at a Tea Party !?? She even argued with the man she was interviewing! Got him in such a ticked off state, as if it's her place to do that? Mark Levin ran the tape...unbelievable. She did nothing but obfuscate and mock and he was supposed to lie down and take it.........sort of like US, I guess!?

Being that the dog came from Ted Kennedy I'd say he's already a better swimmer than Michael Phelps just to have survived the first six months. ;0)

(he's probably had as many bong hits as well)

I.H.S. said...

Not my choice of dogs, I perfer a AmPBT and we all know how EVIL that makes me in the eyes of the MSM.

And, I think the dog has already had some training before it got there. In Virginia somewhere and paid for by the Kennedy's.

z - that's at least the third time I've heard you say that Obama's older daughter is a pretty young girl. Do you think she would appreciate that after how you trash her dad?

And what does 'pretty' have to do with anything, anyway. There is more to life than 'pretty.'

I.H.S. said...

Sue, come on now. What's wrong with saying the little girl is pretty? She is a very pretty little girl as a matter of fact they both are, and not agreeing with their father's policies have nothing to with nothing.

I don't have to like your dad's choices of things in order for to say if you are pretty or not; do I?

I don't like some Of the Presidents ideas or policies, but I think his daughter's are very pretty little girls. Also, I don't recall listening to them discuss foreign policies or global warming so I can't comment on their views, but I can say I really don't get into the Jonas Brothers, but hey to each his own right?

Blessings.

Well said IHS.

Sue -- Z does not "trash" their dad. Their dad is a grown man that makes very poor decisions and is leading our country in a pathetic and cowardly way. Apart from that, from what I can tell, he is a good father and loves his girls very much which is very commendable and I give him and Michelle all the credit due them for that. His girls are not inside the realm of politics they are inside the realm of family. As families go they seem to have a kind and loving one and that's great.

Sue, sadly I'll probably continue to feel the need to criticize Obama. I'm quite sure I've kept it above board..nothing too bad. Just facts; and my truth.

There is NOTHING (not a thing) I've admired about him since he became president.

I TRIED to cozy up to the guy when I first heard of him, I have to admit I got teary when he won the DNC nomination because I saw young Black kids in the audience crying from joy and that touched me greatly, but then I read one of his books (they THINK he wrote it...but it's the only year Bill Ayers didn't publish a book of his own...in I think 17 years, imagine? WHAT a coincidence that is?, but I digress and I don't know for sure)....I read that book and saw his anger and his background and I learned to not admire him. And, so far, he's only become worse in my eyes. I thought it was bad when celebs went to Europe to call Americans names, but OUR PRESIDENT!? WOW. We are NO "aggressors", we are NOT anything but the greatest country on this planet and we've done FAR FAR more good than any other country has; he doesn't know his history or he's so jaded by his perception of us that he doesn't put us first and that hurts me. And IMAGINE picking a Robt Gibbs as Press Sec'y, with that demeaning, belittling attitude toward Conservatives who make up HALF this country? He doesn't have to like us, just do NOT stand at OUR dais and slam us, please. It's unseemly.

How can I not criticize someone who's had the friends he's had, someone who promotes nationalizing AMERICAN COMPANIES, someone who believes in partial birth abortion, someone who says America isn't a Christian country...but why go on? Trust me, it'll take a mighty thing to get me to admire anything about his policies or his ethics. I'd be thrilled to though, trust me. I'll be praying for that.

By the way, now that I think of it, I DO remember something he said to Turkish students on that last trip and I thought that was pretty good..he appealed to their youth and optimism and how our countries need to work together..I did like that, I must say. I thought it could be important and even effective in the very long run. So there!

But, it looks like he loves his girls and has been a fine father, and yes, you'll probably hear me compliment that girl again, too. the younger seems a tad bit too precocious for my taste, the elder of the two is beautiful and has dignity. And I just love looking at her, so sue me (pardon the pun!)Looks are not only unimportant, they're NOTHING in the grand scheme of our lives and our faith, but I just like to look at her! There's something nice in her eyes, too..i like the girl!

I can't compliment her character because I don't know her, but I like her seemingly innate reticence and dignity....and maybe that means she's got good character.

I'm not sure where she'd have come to that; but her grandmother on her mother's side seems like a terrific woman. I love that they moved her into the WH for the children...See? There's another thing I like about Obama. That's two things!

Thanks, Papa...And I.H.S...

I don't like 'trashing' ANYONE on this planet, but I will not keep quiet when I see obama do things that embarrass my country or take us down a road no American EVER thought we'd take until Marxists took us over in our schools and media.

But, heck...like that CNN 'journalist' said at the Tea party yesterday ..I"m ENTITLED to $400 FREE, so maybe I should just put my principles down like a suitcase of anvils and go "COOL! I'll take the money and shut up!" (NOT)

Sorry if I sound angry, I'm not. I just won't be quiet about obama...I've never been much of a hypocrite. And I hope I have it in me till my dying day to enjoy a pretty person or thing when I see it!

papa frank: I honestly don't feel bad for Obama when he is criticized. I voted for him, but I don't know him. He is taking it pretty hard, but he is also getting all the benefits of being president, just like they all do.
They will go down in history.

I have tried to remove myself from political blogs (except I do read them). The remark made by z is something that gets under my skin no matter who says it. She has a little sister, but three times I've heard z say how pretty the older one is. I just don't know what 'pretty' has to do with anything. There are a lot of people in the world that have worth that aren't pretty.

As far as 'trashing' Obama, you only have to read these blogs from a different view point. It sounds like trashing to me.

And, papa frank, as long as I'm getting it off my chest, I thought your remark about Hillary and the wrinkle cream from Hell was juvenile. I am a woman at about the same age as H. and that is really not her fault. You could say the same about me. What do wrinkles have to do with politics. You make such nice comments sometimes and other times it comes across very much the opposite.

z -sorry to take up so much space. I will try to refrain from commenting for a while, anyway. I hope that this does not qualify me as a asshat again.

Z said...

sue, why do you say that? Asshat? YOU? WHY? YOu have different opinions and THEY ARE WELCOME here....you don't seem to think that's so.. but, they ARE.
I do NOT WANT a Conservative echo chamber at geeez

Please don't go. I do think that wrinkle cream and my dissing the little daughter for the bigger one aren't as troublesome as you think they are, but you have every right to think what you do!! Papa's line was funny...trust me, I can use some wrinkle cream, too, and it didn't bug me !!But, you think it's not funny..fine.

Whatever....come back when you feel comfortable.

We're a big tent here...even liberals (gasp!)

z - If you check out your archives
you will see that one of your
comrades in fact did call me an asshat.

I am not personally offended by the wrinkle remark. My point is that what I see when I read your blog is a bashing party.

I noticed that when I commented to you about your 'pretty' remark, several came to your defense, when in fact I would think it was something you could have answered.

Really, I was serious about not getting into all this. But sometimes I forget myself.

Z said...

I don't remember that, never saw ANYONE call you that, Sue, but I sometimes miss comments. I never allow that......it's not going to happen here.

As for MY answering you? I think I did a fairly good job on it. I'm not here all day, they got to you before I did.. I'm delighted to have friends who'd stand up for my point of view, however. That's a good thing.

If it's such a bashing party, then maybe it's something you don't want to be at.
My American baseball blog is bashing, too..we're losing America as most of us know her.
My Walt Williams new post shows the truth about America and how we've got away from it and how dangerous it is.
DO YOU think that Homeland Sec. report was something a good conservative has to ignore? Don't you, as a good American, find it evil and disgusting and downright frightening that half of America has a bullseye the size of TX on their backs because we disagree with THE ONE?

I'm sorry, Sue...i thought we could tease and cajole and learn to express ourselves even better in our points of view thru writing to each other, and maybe learn something, through our association. I'm sorry you've found my blog so disagreeable.
Take good care.

Actually it was your friend Pinky that called me an asshat - and a hateful asshat at that.

Have a good weekend.

Z said...

She's a wonderful friend, a dear one, and she must have found something you said hateful..not you.

You have a good weekend, too.

Anonymous said...

Why Z, how dare you call the little girl pretty. How offensive. Why, it's nothing but bashing. Bashing I say!

Sorry Z, I threw fuel on the fire, but I can't help it. Just don't "sue" me. Ha, Ha.

z - I'm finishing up, getting ready to go to bed as we will be leaving before noon.

As for Pinky, this is the strange thing about blogs. She judged what I said, I'm sure it must have been back when I insulted Bush. She apologized, but I will never think of her as anything but the person who called me a hateful asshat.

She doesn't know me, yet she had it inside of her to use that expression about me.

When I made the comment to you about 'pretty', IHS and papa frank
felt it necessary to jump on me.
I am an outsider on your blog - you will have to admit - and it doesn't help to have them run to your aid over what I say.

Get what I mean?

Anyway, it's over now and not important, really. I've got bigger fish to fry tomorrow. My wonderful 2 yr old grandson and my 94 yr old mother.

See ya later, z

I.H.S. said...

Sue, I wouldn't call me telling you that you were being a little bit unfair as jumping on you in defense of Z, because truth be told I knew she could answer your response quite effectively on her own as she did.

My point was this: what does saying someone is pretty have to do with anything? I don't know if you have a daughter or not but I do and when you look at her the first thing you notice is that she is very pretty and once you get to know her you notice also she is a very pleasant person to be around, but the 'FIRST' thing you see is she's pretty and when people say those words it makes me smile. I don't go on some tangent talking about what does pretty have to do with anything. I know this about to sound a little insensitive, but the way you responded would somewhat lead me to believe you maybe a little jealous or something, or maybe you were the pretty little girl and noone noticed anything else about you except that you were pretty. I don't know but I will say this in my conclusion; I have found in my few years on this planet that for the most part every person in the world wants to be noticed in a positive light.

Blessings.

IHS: This is the point I was trying to make. It is something that has bothered me for a long time. We put the emphasis on 'pretty' in our society, and I always think, what about the person that is not 'pretty?'

That's all. I have two pretty daughters and I was pretty when I was young. So it's not jealousy as you suggest.

I just think that our society places too much importance on looks, and not enough on the inner spirit. Just my take on it.

sue said...

Pris: Just another smart ass remark from z's blog.

Let's get Pinky in here with her hateful asshat language.

I.H.S. said...

Someone is pretty to someone; I don't care what you look like there's someone that thinks they are pretty.

And, I don't think it's our society only which has this affinity to good looking people. I believe that is everywhere in the world and has been since the beginning of all things. That's just people for you, and again the first thing you see is how a person looks, period.

And, it wasn't only jealousy I suggested, but it's interesting to me that you only brought the jealousy part, why is that?

The bottom line is there will never be a time in this life in which we live that looks aren't going to be the thing. When we get to the eternal life is when it won't be an issue.

Blessings.

Sue, I'll concede I made a smart ass remark, if you'll concede you made a mountain out of a molehill.

I thought it was very funny that a complimentary remark could be offensive to anyone. it seems anything, no matter how benign, can invite such a diatribe.

Sorry Sue, I still think it's funny. You really did ask for it.

Pris

I.H.S. said...

Pris, LOL! some apology, ROFLMBO!!!

I'm sorry this is funny to me too.

Z, please forgive me.

Blessings.

Papa Frank said...

Sue -- my wrinkle cream remark was indeed juvenile but it was intended to be. It was not a serious post about fixing the problems of our country it was a blow off steam post with an invitation for comical remarks. I don't think less of anyone or more of anyone for their appearance. It was simple juvenile poking fun.

Z said...

Thanks, Pops and Pris.

I.H.S...no apology needed. Thanks for coming by.

We bloggers have serious pieces on, or jokes, or just observations, and sometimes the comments get testy, but mostly it's to share ideas and/or rib each other and, hopefully, we all take it well and go on.......
