EASTER SUNDAY BLOG

Oh, Glorious Day!

The thief on the cross next to Jesus said to the thief on Jesus' other side "We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong."
Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."
Jesus answered him, "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise."  Luke 23

Jesus, Remember me

Have a really BLESSED Easter, or Resurrection Sunday, as some folks call it.  I still like EASTER because of all the joyous, happy, Spring things Easter brings us to happily celebrate the amazing message of this day.
HAPPY DAY!

Love, Z

tmw! WELCOME! WELCOME!
I looked at 239487298 "Because He Lives" and found no renditions I liked! But, I sure did have that in mind for my blog; I knew that wasn't supposed to be the one featured because I swear my Sunday Faith Blogs write themselves and this one did after I finally just gave in and let it happen!
Happy Easter! Yes, I know...Happy RESSURRECTION Day!:0

aow...IT'S GORGEOUS, isn't it.

Same to you, dear Ed...to you and Scherie.

Sue, me, too! My friend Katya, whose delivery some of you prayed for 2 weeks ago, brought little Elyse to church this morning and I looked at that very tiny, fresh little human being and thought "She's the embodiment of Easter...new promise, newness, etc.!" SO CUTE!

Hey, LA...thanks for being back!

Mustang; I'm so grateful for our friendship.

DaBlade...isn't that gorgeous?
"Today, you will be with me in paradise" is my number one favorite verse in the bible...bar none.

beak...I was honored to be at the Passover of a rabbinically trained friend Monday night..he, his 9 yr old daughter, and 8 other Christians! we had THE best time...I got the matzah ball soup ready !

Elbro..."he is risen indeed" and I like to think it's also "He is risen in deed", if you get my drift!

Pris; you bet!

Happy Easter to everyone today!

But I want to ask..has anyone seen our "Christian" president give Easter Greetings? Or was he tied up in a CAIR meeting?

Did I miss his visit to the National Cathedral today?

Imp, I googled and Obama doesn't attend the National Cathedral but he goes to Black churches...every time I hear about his church attendance, anyway.
I'm sorry about that because, again, it feels divisive to me. I think all Christians should feel at home in any church and that the black Baptist church doesn't represent all Americans.
On the other hand, he can choose to go to any darned church he wants to....
I'd have thought he'd go to the National Cathedral because that's "SORT OF" the People's Church, but...oh, well.
Also, he made a mention of Easter and Passover in his radio address.

it's never quite the lovely splash past presidents have given Easter, but....everyone's so scared of PC that I'm even surprised Obama went to a church at all. Surely muslims are calling foul! :-)

actually, I don't think Muslims would but it's surprising Atheists aren't beating up on Obama for attending a church.
