Memorial Day and Affirmative Action?

Doesn't this soldier deserve better? He fights hard, he fights for our rights. He has rights, too. He has the right to be judged by his character and intelligence and not by his color. Certainly not by some liberal who thinks he's beneath being able to achieve, beneath feeling pride in his accomplishments. Our soldier here has the right to be respected and not treated as if he's a token ANYTHING.
Please read this...by Thomas Sowell

But if minorities were actually treated like everyone else, how would liberals earn the right to believe themselves morally superior to the rest of us, who refuse to discriminate?

i read that this morning and thought "how brilliant, the lemmings will never understand it." so i sent it to a few friends, including liberals because they would be the least likely to have seen it, and not a one of them disappointed me. each of them made some sort of comment about mr. sowell and uncle tom.

i'm not even sure he HAS an uncle tom, are you?

Heidianne, isn't that unbelievable? How SAD.
Liberals will NEVER EVER NEVER wake up.
Thanks for sharing that. It's important people see this kind of attitude.
A very intelligent Black man who hates Black victimhood and champions Whites who treat Blacks as PEOPLE instead of VICTIMS and the left calls him an 'Uncle Tom'.

What Liberal thinking accomplished with Affirmative Action and a diversity mandate, was to continue to keep separateness acceptable.

It's really segregaton by another name, and the implication is that the group which is to be "helped up" is inferior.

Yes, fj, and as they pat themselves on the back and feel so self righteous, it doesn't occur to them they've done all this for themselves.

I had a terrible thought.
My sentence about this soldier having the right to be judged by his character and 'not his color'...I kept reading that just now and thinking "does that sound like I'm saying that Black skin is bad? The WRONG color?"

MLK Jr. said this, too, so I suppose not........but, in a way, it does sound like it. I don't like that. I know you know what I mean, in any case.

just had to clear that up. geeeeeZ!
