Problems for AL SHARPTON? Say it ain't so......

Is this what we're coming to with people like Al Sharpton? He breaks the laws and it's about the government out to get him? Could he get off with this defense?
Ya, it's mean spirited of me to post this, I don't rejoice in ANYBODY'S tax problems, but seeing that I can't STAND the man, I can't help it.........I'm unapologetic. I think he's done so much to keep this country divided that it's about time he woke up to the fact he's not immune to his own problems.
I particularly like this point mentioned in the link: "Donors have included beer giant Anheuser-Busch, which gave more than $100,000 last year, and Forest City Ratner, a real estate development company that courted black leaders for support of a plan to build an NBA arena in Brooklyn. PepsiCo, for several years, gave Sharpton a compensated position on one of its advisory boards."

Right. It was explained to me about 10 years ago, that Jesse Jackson makes his living this way, too. They get paid big time for playing ball, for getting their people to stop striking, for convincing unions to go along with management, etc. Cute, huh?
And, does he have a RIGHT to do this? Talk about elitist, talk about pandering, talk about a grossly overinflated ego which allows himself to assume an empowerment even the Black community should find utterly disgusting. I'm sure many do.

Sharpton and Jackson are extortionists. Companies are dumb enough to go along.

Sharpton deliberately was stirring up trouble in NYC yesterday to get arrested for the latest race-baiting exercise, the protesting of the verdict for the policemen who shot Sean Bell.

His professional occupation is victim.

EXTORTIONIST..that is THE WORD, Karen!! RIGHT.

Imagine bringing a whole city on its knees AFTER an inquiry showed the cops innocent? Is there NO obeying of laws? NO!! HE demands Imus quits and HE WINS. NOW we know better why Imus had to go grovel at Sharpton's feet, right?

HE demands that the city find another answer to the inquiry, one HE likes, or he'll make it miserable for the WHOLE CITY! God, the ego is more enormous than imaginable!

Great post. Jackson and Sharpton have both figured out how to make a living by sturing up trouble. I don't feel a bit sorry for them when the plan fails.

God Bless America, God Save The Republic.

Hard to believe that anybody follows these two fools.
And to think that they're held up alongside MLK in the public schools. tsk, tsk. (not that MLK was a saint...) The victim mentality is contagious and purulent. It's easier to give into it than to fight for what is right.

Have you heard what Bill Cosby has been saying for the past few years? Calling for accountability among the black community, etc.

""Whatever retaliation they do on me, we never stop," he told the AP. "I think that that is why they try to intimidate us.""

LOL
Yeah...threatening riots if the Duke LaCrosse boys were NOT found guilty...the same over the cops accused in the shooting of that African immigrant--can't recall his name--in NY...same thing in the cops who beat Rodney King...same thing threatened IF the super delegates DO what they think is best which IS the RULES of the party...the man IS WALKING in your face INTIMIDATION and SHAKE DOWN artist type pot calling the gov't type kettle black...

Irony...
Oh yeah...an former presidential candidate is behind on his taxes? In the party who boasts about RAISING them on 'all those rich white folk'...gads.

frank family...good (if scary) point!

FT: 'sleeping with the devil', as nanc put, is right. or could be.

An old established BEER company is the Devil?

Sorry, I don 't get it.

just a corporation thing....Sharpton gets paid by folks who want to get their way, mostly manufacturers/corporations which need to keep the little people down, convince them they don't really NEED that raise right now, etc..he does that, HE gets the big bucks!
The inference is Anheuser Busch is a corporation. NOt sure they have paid a SHarpton of Jackson off, but nanc was suggesting.......Mrs. McC could be part of that cabal..that's all.

Oh WOW! And here I thought Sharpton and Jackson were getting paid "protection" money by corporations to stop these lousy "activists" from bringing LAWSUITS over [largely bogus] civil rights violations, and thus avoid bad publicity that only latter-day porch monkeys like these two foul operators and their minions could generate.

I thought the corporations were their VICTIMS, and you say they are their PARTNERS?

Words fail me at this point.
