The Heart of God?

A young girl reaches out her hands, in Bulgaria, to warm them over a geyser (hot mineral water sources). The heart was formed by the billowing steam of the geyser (on a very cold day, as all of Europe's freezing right now) , allowing the bright, cold skies behind the vapors to shine through in the almost perfect formation of this heart. Europe's papers are publishing this photo with the question "The heart of God?"

I like to think so! Have a very happy Sunday, everybody......."I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart..I will tell of all your wonders." Psalm 9:1

Z,

You publish the most wonderful pictures. All of them have been great, but especially those in the the past few weeks.

That people almost universally LONG to see visible signs of God's Presence shows the deep, almost unconscious awareness most of us have of our complete dependence on Him.

Without Hm all would be dark, chaotic, confused without affection, loyalty or any kind of structure and sense of purpose. In other words it would be Hell.

Fortunately, our connection to God and each other is inescapable, but most of us don't realize that, hence all the cynicism, strife and grief.

Have a beautiful Sunday.

he hath made every thing beautiful in his time. also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that god maketh from the beginning to the end.

not sure why but this verse came immediately into my mind on viewing this picture. very nice.

I clearly see the heart of God. However, it is in the little girl stretching out her arms and not in the sky. Beautiful post Z.

Yesterday while driving across town, I saw the sunrays shining through the rain clouds in one of those iconic images that we've all seen thousands of times.

Obviously it's just the sun shining through, but figuratively it's a reminder that God is there.

That moment made me smile and gave me peace.

A visiting priest gave all the members of our parish a sketch of Jesus today. It was from a German woodcutting from an unknown time and date. What struck me was that it was of a smiling, laughing Jesus. That's how I want to think of Jesus. I'm framing it and hanging it in my house. It's call "The Riant Christ." I love it.

The heart of God?

Is this not the heart of God: waking up the next day. Fully in charge of all one's limbs and one's mind.

Is that not the most essential blessing of all -- that not everyone enjoys?

A beautiful photo, nevertheless.

Pasadena and Woman...inspiration is such a good thing, isn't it? Wish I'd been with you to see that, pas!!

L&O, one doesn't think of Jesus smiling much, does one!! I mean, you don't read much "..then Jesus giggled and giggled..!!" Wish we DID!!

BZ..VERY interesting point!! Good to see you. We should remember that just getting up every morning healthy and going to bed every night healthy is SUCH a God thing......such a real blessing.

Thanks, Brooke!
