WHY is Iran having war games in the Bay of Hormuz? Why would Ahmadinejad be pushing his weight around, threatening the waterways by which most of the world's oil travels, threatening Israel as he has and threatening us with "I've got the bomb!" talk? And why NOW?
Could it be that he's enticing Israel to attack? Could it be intentional provocation? Could there be something in his koran which demands Jews to strike muslims first before islam does a final annihilation of Israel?
I got to thinking about this Twelfth Imam who's supposed to come and how Ahmadinejad's faith believes his coming will signify the end of the world. The "Mahdi", or Twelfth Imam, will soon "form an army to defeat Islam's enemies in a series of apocalyptic battles" and "will overcome his archvillain in Jerusalem," says THIS ARTICLE, which I found looking for back-up for my hypothesis but, what I actually found is that my idea isn't a new thought, I just happened to come to it late! Here are Ahmadinejad's quotes on the subject.
Here's the rub; leftwing secularists and 'believers' who don't read Scripture will suggest Christians, too, have this world religious view....They say Christians believe Christ will come and it'll be the end of the world as we know it, so they even include that Christians are doing all they can to prepare for leaving ASAP and are ignoring the environment, etc., because "we won't be around long, anyway" (they honestly do believe that!) ......Sure, some Christians are "Maranatha-ing" it up and can't wait for Christ to return and they talk about the Rapture, etc. (and who can BLAME them?!), but most Christians enjoy living their earthly lives, even through the stresses we all have, and see the Scripture's reminders to witness so others may have the joy and peace of the Lord....It's like God is very patient and wants more and more of us with Him for eternity so we're all still here. The important difference with Mahdi-Believers and Christians is that our God is NOT coming to defeat anybody, He is coming to set people FREE and give them eternal life. He's not coming to "overcome villains", Jesus will come back to overcome the world in the best of all possible senses. He comes in love, always did. This is what bothered me so much about Bush's saying "We all pray to the same God"...........No, not by a long shot, George.
My very very good friend Elmer's Brother featured THIS blog post in 2006...it's much more in depth than I've handled the subject and FASCINATING, if you'd like to read more about the the Twelfth Imam and comparisons to him and Jesus Christ. You won't be sorry if you check that out...excellent stuff.
"He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for all of us - how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?" Romans 8:32
Amen.

We know that before the return of the True King that a man of sin will be manifested, declare war on the saints, and be destroyed by the returning King. I personally believe that he is very likely to rise out of Islam.
And who is this guy before me?
Obama is the antichrist? And you wonder why you aren't taken seriously.
Nobody said Obama is the Antichrist, Ducky.
Surely you of all people can advance leftism's agenda to destroy the absurd notion that leftists are capable of rational thought beyond mere demonstrations of your lack of reading comprehension skills.
Good to come by your blog z. Otto aka, American Interests ....
This is nothing new. Iran has been holding military maneuvers, dubbed as The Great Prophet, in the strategic waters of the Persian Gulf annually since 2006 to show off its military capabilities - and serve as an implicit warning of the consequences if the United States or Israel attack Iran's nuclear facilities.
And yet the statists here in America are rising up and ratcheting up their rhetoric and insistence of tougher sanctions against Iran just as well.
Lest we forget:
"War is the health of the state."
Ducky, YOU are the antichrist of the intellect. The devil who spends his time irritating people with things that nobody says.
Or maybe you're just an immature teen.
Since BO got elected, Ahmadinenutjob has never had it so good.
Ducky has no idea, so he just makes up a dumbass statement.
Dinny has long wanted to facilitate the return of the 12th Imam. WIth nukes, training and the like, he is in the position to strike and though he will of course not succeed in his insane goal he will cause chaos.
I hear a blurb about him putting Qos troops in Venezuela to bolster Chavez's troops in the last week. The MSM is, of course, silent.
I don't have the patience to read through Secret Rapture's link yet but with that picture of an alien and the general tone of his stuff it seems to be about a fake coming of Christ, even a fake rapture, the sort of thing we should keep in mind as one of the many possible deceptions to be encountered as the Last Days are just about upon us. We KNOW the coming of a supposed Imam Mahdi is going to be such a deception, but there are going to be many others as well or a whole bunch wrapped up into one spectacular confusing coming of Something or other.
Ahmadinejad is going to humiliate the US?
I think Obama'a already doing a good job of that! That little punk in Iran has nothing on him.
Pris
Faith, I just deleted it. I have no interest in having that 'information' on my blog.
Ducky, who isn't taking whom seriously?
Beamish, no, nobody said that...but, somehow, ducky grasps at anything to insult. Weakens any relevant points he could make.
OTTO! Great to see you! You've been missed...will go to your blog now (I'm hoping there is a new one and clicking on your name will bring me there!) Another excellent Australian who understands Americans better than our left does...like MK! Thanks for visiting.
Soapbox, 'nothing new' is true...the timing, however, for the ratcheting up of the Hormuz situation is vital and transparent.
Nuclear talks, sanction discussions, Israel's nervousness and being dissed by Obama, etc etc.
Brooke...we'll never hear the truth from our media, let's hope something comes of that. I'd heard he meddles in S American affairs pretty regularly.
Cube, right.
Pris, too true.
Did you guys listen to the voicemail left by the Geico guy to Freedomworks? What a pathetic, passive aggressive, no-balls, little [beep].
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peKSo2n2hrA
When freedomworks call him back is priceless.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWI0SBglGN0
This guy is very duckastic.
FrogBurger, someone who works for, I think, conservative radio host Mike Gallagher called that guy and asked if all Geico's voices are 'retarded'...!! The guy's going after HIM now!!
This is the behavior of our left, FB, you know that.....this is the insane insult and fever pitch they've reached because they're so lost and so scared of decent people who want their country back.....very sad and very dangerous for America that we're this divisive.
It's not all the left, I think. We only hear that kind. I talk to a lot of people in my industry these days and I realize that there's a lot of confusion out there. Americans have some serious trouble understanding the politicial scale and where they stand on that scale. I'm not talking about people on this blog. But overall, and I've been saying this for years now, Americans are very libertarian in their mindset. Yet they haven't figured it out. Some people went Democrats because their focus is to be socially liberal, while some are more focused on being fiscally conservative. That's why the tea party movement is big and can succeed. Because the two party system is too rigid.
Frogburgerette was telling me that recently a major magazine or newspaper was raising the question as to Americans were libertarians. It's great news. That means Americans are now interested in having a deeper analysis of political philosophies and economics theories and principles. I think it's part of the maturation process of a young nation. And I'm glad it's happening. That means more involved people and a healthier democracy.
Frog, it is a wonderful phenomenon that's arisen. A great turn of events.
I have read that more people are reading the Constitution, etc. Healthy is the right word. Better later than not at all.
Btw, I love your Bugerette term for Mrs FrogBurger.
Pris
Pris, you wrote "Btw, I love your Bugerette term for Mrs FrogBurger."
the typo of that r missing sure does change the meaning of that, huh? :-)
Z, I didn't notice that. Oh my gosh! Surely Frog would forgive me for that typo. I hope.
Pris
I thought it was hilarious, he probably didn't even notice...
just teasing you...
It's just that the missing R made me laugh out loud! I loved it, Pris!!
FB's statement about US delving deeper into the intricacies of our political beliefs is wonderful, and I hope the Tea Partiers are wise enough to have flexibility and allow room for growth.
Like FB said, not everyone knows where they stand, yet most are not satisfied with the current options.
Z, I just finished the John Adams series and I have to say that I now understand much more about my own political leanings. What a great series! I found it interesting the contrast b/w Adams and Jefferson...and I have to admit that I sided with Jefferson on most issues.
Hi, Jen, isn't it a fabulous series? I'm so glad you did watch it....I was really taken with it and learned SO much.
I agree with you about Jefferson but, in context to the times, I could certainly understand Adams desirous of a stronger seat of national government...I mean, the country was SO brand new, so fragile, that to consider states having more rights is a great idea but would have seemed a little scary to me at that time, too, as it did Adams, you know?
