Pres: Peter Ueberroth - Republican. Successful businessman who has always focused on economic and budget crisis and has always been successful at correcting these problems.
VP: Warren Buffet: In 2007, he was listed among Time's 100 Most Influential People in the world. In 2011, President Barack Obama awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Most recently, Buffett, along with Bill Gates, was named the most influential global thinker in Foreign Policy's 2010 report.
SOS: Bill Gates: Successful and well respected World Wide.
Most important in my opinion, not one of these people will tell you that God has asked them to run.
President: Me
VP: whoever comes in 2nd place (repeal the 12th Amendment)
SecState: Lady Gaga
I'm not a huge fan of Mitt Romney but I think he is what we need to help get our budget in order. VP? I don't know, maybe someone with good national security cred. (I would love to see Condi Rice but she wouldn't do it)
Palin/Snooki -- 2012 because we deserve it.
President, VP or SoS, I like Col. Alan West. We need a rock ribbed conservative of military background badly.
Beamish, of course, too. ;)
I like West as a candidate. The backlash against the Tea Baggers is already showing and he would be an immediate loser.
Right now no-one for me. I certainly don't want Huckabee and Romney. Maybe Herman Cain. Business experience, not afraid and good luck trying to make him a racist. But I'm sure wackjobs like Ducky would find something.
Cain and Bachmann. Let the leftist attack this ticket which of course they will but it will only show who the racist and bigots are.
SOS: Bolton, he tells it like it is. My kind of guy and if he doesn't want it, I'll take the job. I'd love to have one day to address the UN. Have I got a ear full for that bunch. And I would end my speech, with Now, Get the Hell Out of My Country.
Newt Gingrich, but he hasn't a prayer of a chance because he's too capable, too intelligent, too experienced, and he's a Republican who, apparently, likes sex. Only Democrats are permitted to like sex and survive politically.
I like Alan West too, but he's too new on the scene. Only Democrats are permitted to choose a complete unknown with little or no experience and have him craftily manipulated into the White House by the likes of George Soros and the rest of the shadow government -- the puppeteers who pull the strings behind the scenes.
Michelle Bachmann might make a good vice president.
Sarah Palin has become too much of a celebrity, and is too easily caricatured by the hostile media to be taken seriously as a candidate.
Chris Christie is an appealing figure, but ...
A few months ago I would have said, without a doubt, Chris Christie, but he is too much of a social Liberal. I suppose the press wouldn't absolutely hate him, so, he would stand a decent chance with independents.
I like Alan West and Michelle Bachman. I think they would be a good ticket for Conservatives, and would certainly reveal the Liberal's true colors. I wonder, though, if they could win.
I wish Duncan Hunter would come back out of the shadows and launch a run, but of course, just like last election, he wouldn't get much traction with the Conservative press. Despite what they say, they still want a more moderate candidate(See Hannity's support of Rudy Guiliani).
I still haven't settled on who I think would be a great candidate but from what I've seen so far, West is the best, in my opinion. But that can change.
SOS: I think Newt Gingrich would find that job comfortable.
Alan Keyes - He is the penultimate anti-Obama.
Government ought to be about finding the most sensible and economical ways of using OUR money, it should not be about micro-managing people's personal lives "for their own good," UNLESS those people are on the dole.
Once you let the government support you, the government can and should tell you what to eat and how to live.
The only behaviors we cannot tolerate are murder, rape, mayhem, assault and battery, arson, theft, vandalism, blackmail and persistent harassment.
Forgot about Christie. I don't mind social liberal in my case. I think he'd be great in debates with Obama. He would get in his face with facts, numbers and that would be TERRIFIC. That's what we need: a candidate that won't be afraid to tell Obama what failure he has been. And Christie does it well while remaining polite.
Also Trump will run and I am not discounting him for the same reasons. He speaks his mind and he doesn't need anybody for a career as he's loaded.
Common Sense, interesting choices. Bill Gates...Warren Buffet. And you enjoy my Conservative blog?
Tell me, who did God tell to run? :)
Beamish, YOU. That's a given!
Chuck, I feel like you about Romney.
Not as hot as you are on Condi.
Brooke, I love Alan West. Oh, Wait, I can't do THAT! I'm a racist Republican!!!! WHAT was I THINKING? :-)
Ducky, you are so afraid, aren't you. I like that!
Ticker and FB....Not good if I haven't ever even HEARD the name Herman Cain. In America it's not who you are or what you know but if they've heard your name. Sad, isn't it.
Ya, John Bolton would be the best choice for SOS and I was hoping one of you would say so.
But, these days, we simply can't have a man who sticks up for our interests: it isn't Lefty PC
Anonymous: you take the words right out of my mouth. good thinking. Also, I think Republicans DO like sex :-) They're always polled to be happier people than Democrats, but I think that's a faith thing, too.
Oh, wait! People of faith can't enjoy SEX according to lefties!! (smile)
Mark, Newt would make a good choice for SoS, good idea.
Anonymous "Government ought to be about finding the most sensible and economical ways of using OUR money, it should not be about micro-managing people's personal lives "for their own good," UNLESS those people are on the dole"
Gov't these days is so screwed up it actually thinks that using OUR MONEY in the best ways is supporting those on the dole!
FB, I like Trump, too. Actually, I can't STAND TRUMP, but I'd vote for him tomorrow compared to what's there now. And he loves this country, understands business, hates China and ....I predict they'll start dressing his wife Melina like a lady whose boobs aren't her biggest asset soon and then we'll know if he's running! :-)
Our commenter buddy SilvrLady emailed me this that I thought I'd share with you:
"Great true story I have forgotten to tell you. A good friend went to the Republican Convention in NYC as an alternate delegate. She was in a tourist shop near the location , & it was full of convention goers, Republicans, of course. She was talking to the owner & asked if they were worried, with the big crowd, about shoplifting. The woman told her no, Reps. didn't steal, Dems do! I'm not making that up!"
The delegate to whom this was said relayed it to SilvrLady.
It reminds me of the inauguration grounds after Obama's win, full of Democrats all over the place.....filth, trash, the PILES were awful.
We've all read about the cop who told someone that parks are cleaner after Tea Party people meet there than they are before they got there.
Interesting juxtaposition. It shows a lot.
I'm at the point I think anyone but Obama, even if I have to hold my nose when I vote.
I do like Newt, and would love to see him debate Obama. His personal baggage is a problem though.
Bachmann or Paul Ryan, VP.
SOS, John Bolton
Sarah Palin, Dept. of energy.
Steve Forbes, Treasury
Christie supports gun control, and govt. healthcare. Too bad, because I like his no nonsense approach.
West is great, but too new, and not enough national name
recogniton. He's a rising star though.
Common sense, we don't need global thinkers, we need America thinkers.
Tell me, what expertise does Bill Gates have in world affairs besides how to make money?
Same for Buffet.
Talk about coming out of left field!
What do you have against God?
Pris

WOW!!! That's all I can say is WOW.
What do you have against God?
I have nothing against God.....it's his followers I have a problem with.
Let me ask you Pris....how are all those people with all this experience you talk about working out for you?
Z, I love your blog and I'm far more Conservative then Liberal. I don't vote down party lines, I vote for who I think would do the best job. I don't see anyone in the picture today being that person.
Many have said they have been ask by God to run, I will put some links together and get them in here.
I do believe in the seperation of church and state and I don't want my God, your God or their God in my Government.
Let me add that I'm picking up my new Smith & Wesson Model 629, a 44 Magnum today. How Liberal is that.

"Let me ask you Pris....how are all those people with all this experience you talk about working out for you?"
All what people?
Tell me, if a President believes in God, that's interpreted by you as not representing separation of church and state?
Personal belief in God, has nothing to do with separation of church and state.
One certainly can believe in God, and govern secularly, for the least he/she would have a moral base from which to lead instead of pay to play, which is what we have now. What do you want, an atheist in the WH?
Congrats, you have a gun, so what? I didn't call you a liberal btw, I questioned your choices, both of whom are in Obama's corner btw.
Pris
Pris,
I do not come here to argue with anyone. I come here to join the conversation and issue my opinions.
I simply would like to keep religion out of any decision making in my Government. Would you like a President that ask their Muslim, Hindu, Buddha or many other Gods for guidance and made their decisions based on what he felt he was told?
I hope you have a great day.
Odd how horrid things have become since people have stopped having the faith they used to have.
I think of East Germany and Russia and Romania and HUngary, etc., ...where God wasn't allowed and shudder at the grayness of it all. I have close friends from those countries who couldn't read the Bible growing up...they escaped and came here and love America more than many Americans.
One Christmas, my husband and I gave our Hungarian friend a Hungarian Bible in his language and his Romanian wife a Romanian Bible...they both wept. My Hungarian Catholic friend had never been allowed to have a Bible and his English wasn't good enough to read it here but he's always been a very strong believer.
We flew them to Paris to visit when we were living there and I'll never forget TOny's reaction when we stepped into Notre Dame.
A country with no God, which mocks those who do have great faith, is on a very slippery slope. And, while we're getting rid of Christianity (No MERRY CHRISTMAS, "HOLIDAY TREES", "SPRING BREAK" instead of Easter Break, removal of crosses from anything public, etc etc,) mosques are growing and Islamists are sharpening their teeth.
I feel my point was missed.
It's too hard to address it.
And it was not missed.
What am I supposed to say? "Oh, YES, let's not let any Christians who live their faith be in government lest their morality and decency influence decisions!?"
My point has been missed, too. People want all mention of CHristian faith out of America, crosses removed, etc., and this will be a very sad country.
Common Sense, we debate here, and sometimes disagree. That's a given.
It's clear to me that you want to see the world through rose colored glasses as evidenced by a comment you made on a previous post, which was, "everything will turn out fine in the end". I guess it all depends on what you think is fine.
It's going to take a lot of heavy lifting for it to turn out that way. We can't afford to just watch and wait for that to happen. We've been doing that for years until now, and we're in huge trouble.
If you don't choose to see it that way, it's up to you. That's fine, it's your choice.
But please don't expect those of us who don't agree with you to be silent. That's not why we come here. We all disagree with each other from time to time, and sometimes take it on the chin.
It's all in the spirit of a lively debate. Sorry you can't see it that way.
Pris

Pris,
Don't Christians believe in the Second Coming of Christ?
Doesn't the Christian Bible tell them that times are going to go from bad to worst before the Second Coming.
Doesn't the Bible tell them that this is all part of God's plan to bring in the Second Coming.
That tells me that everything is going to be just fine, who am I to questioned Gods will?
Isn't everything is going to be just fine if you believe this, I would think so.
Common Sense....that is what Christians believe and yes, everything is in His control and it will be okay. But not for a while. You got it.
A problem with this is that people make fun of those whose truth tells them 'things are going to be fine' and play on it as if "Oh, great, so abuse the earth, let things go to pot because GOD IS COMING AGAIN!" :-)...not realizing that we should be good stewards of the earth and the culture in the meanwhile.
I'm sure you've heard that :-)
Petraeus / West.
The civilians have so throughly screwed up this country we might just be saved from the impending apocalypse by military leaders with guts and a fearless devotion to action and decision making.
Men who have faced terror and battles and who have had mens lives in their hands 24 / 7.
Someone who'd put Gates on trial for treason and espionage too.
RedWood, Gates is really something, isn't he? He talks out of both sides of his mouth, he kisses up to whoever he needs to...he sounds just plain stupid half the time.
I agree with you, that guy's poison
I like Newt Gingrich, but he does have some baggage, though he's probably the brightest of the bunch & understands the importance of history. Love Chris Christie. Sadly, neither would have a chance, because appearance is everything today due to t.v. & the shallowness of people, & both need to go on a diet.
Love Bolton. He understands the world, our place in it, history, the importance of strength, & is an outstanding speaker. He pulls no punches.
I also like Jeb Bush, but it's too soon for him. But he could appeal to the Latino & illegal immigrant voters. maybe for V.P.
Detest Huckabee, tired of Sarah, though she's good at raising people's enthusiasm. In the colloquial term, 'she's shot her wad'.
Silvrlady
Secretary of State, that's easy, John Bolton.
And i'd like Palin to run for VP, i don't believe she can be elected for president though.
I like Bolton SO much, too
Newt apparently threw his hat in the race this morning, someone told me that..is it true?
Imagine the media "He left his wife while she was in the hospital with cancer" Ya, HE"ll get elected!
Not if the media crucifies him as they will.
Bolton? What's the attraction, he might try to bomb Iran?
You folks worship the military good deal too much. Been over the high side several times too often.
Bolton understand we should never appease...he understands the history, he understands the threats.
Until we get someone back like him, we're toast.
We probably don't have time though...they're winning.
But, of course, no matter how many terror suspects we pick up, you think it's all a joke
