Michael Moore ...wrong again..............

Of course, Michael Moore got more play in the media (than Whittle's information in this video ever will) by shamelessly suggesting we need to rob from the rich because some don't have enough, but we bloggers can try to make common sense reign again by posting these things.   Give this a watch and PLEASE send it to your friends....Americans need to wake up NOW.

And, while you're at it, Obama will probably win in 2012, so please take that college money for your kids you've been saving and spend it...........remind your kids that their hard work in school will be useless to him, success is no longer welcome in America.

Excellent video! [except for the kick in the ass it is]

Here's a less extreme way of looking at the same, from a pre-Pelosi recession / pre-Obama deficit spending / public debt monetizing pto 90% of GDP perspective.

Using the figures from both Whittle's video and the article I linked above from the rosy times before four years of a Democrat-controlled House and two years of Obama started steamshovelling America's financial grave, and extending them forward in time as far as every penny and stick of property, stocks, bonds, futures, and real estate of America's on hand wealth will go, there will be no asset wealth in America from anyone to tax or liquidate whatsoever in roughly 15 years.

Of course, we'll feel the pinch much much sooner than that as unemployment rises and growth declines beyond the buffers that hold inflation down. You think $5 a gallon gas is bad, wait until it's $10 a gallon and you can't afford the food in the store you'd drive your car to go get anyway.

If we don't change course.

This failed experiment, putting left-wing Democrats in power in Washington DC, must end now. Like it should have over 80 years ago.

Beamish, I hope you got to MISS the president's speech just now...his first campaign speech.
I sat there thinking "This is all about 2012.." suddenly, he was all over the WE NEED TO WORK TOGETHER stuff after he wouldn't hear anything about the health care suggestions from the Reps and even got the media to suggest they had no ideas!!! I swear!

he's NOW going to listen to all ideas, and fighting is good in a democracy, and isn't he SPECIAL for being so OPEN? Honestly, you cannot make this stuff up.

Sadly, presidents get to make speeches aimed at their reelections and get it free.....if only he'd suggested anything that might save our economy except TAX THE RICH.

I wonder where he thinks those shops with lovely things in them will find patrons anymore? Or who'll buy the beautiful big homes once the rich is toast?
He's simply uninformed and this is why we must win.

And why we won't....the American people are as ill informed as this doofus is.

Beamish, it's REALLY hard to SPEND A HOUSE, believe me. That money in a house doesn't help small businesses with lovely things to sell get customers to SPEND THERE (enter the era of the hideous BIG BOX STORES), one needs CASH.
We're out of cash as a country and, TRUST ME FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, having assets on paper isn't helping me too much.

did I read something wrong?

I can't assess his numbers but it sounds awfully convincing to me. Too bad the people who need to know this won't bother.

I turned off Obama's speech around five minutes into it.

And no, you didn't read wrong. You're nailing it right on the head when you say "it's REALLY hard to SPEND A HOUSE."

You sell the house to get cash, and then you have to buy somewhere to live, somewhere smaller and cheaper to operate. Maybe even rent an apartment.

But then, the apartment landlord needs more money from rent, or sells to another landlord, or neglects maintenance needs and soon you're kicking crackheads off your front step so you can go to work to subsidize the crackhead you kicked out of the way.

Whittle's video is the real deal. The link I gave above is from mis-2006, five months before America elected a Democrat majority in the House and 16 months before that Democrat Congress' 2008 budget and regulation schemes kicked the stock market down from 14,000+ to deep in Recessionville.

The link I gave was the rosy picture of June 2006. The "good old days" as it were.

The sick thing about it is not so much that Democrats set this financial timebomb in early 2007, but they're looking at that $53 Trillion in 2006 assets as a collective pool to dip into as needed when it's not a collective pool. It's millions of individuals and their individual properties. Their homes. Their retirement funds. Their life savings.

No, Z, you didn't read anything wrong at all.

I provided that extra link to compliment your Whittle video.

"Eat the rich" is a sick cycle when it comes to the richest man in America only has a nickel in assets.

In a roundabout way, we're just confirming the obvious:

Leftism is stupid.

Faith, of course there's no way for us to figure the numbers but a lot of very smart people (including a guy from RAND who I lunched with Monday) said he's right on.

Beamish, thanks, I only sounded like I was challenging you because I thought YOU had bought into the link you provided or that I wasn't understanding at all. Yes, it really does help augment Whittle and yes, THOSE WERE THE DAYS when things weren't at this level yet.......I appreciate your explaining!

I wish everyone I know seemed a lot less stressed but I think hearing Obama talk and seeing their money threatened even more and, worse, their country going SO fast down the tubes with a president and his thuggery which don't even seem to understand America at ALL, is really getting to them...Right AND Left, frankly.

Z said...

By the way, You all KNOW those tax increases Obama's so eager for WILL go into effect..that's a given.
There is no doubt in my mind.

He doesn't understand what a threat that is...it's just HATE THE RICH AND SCREW THEM AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE right now.
Next, we'll be hearing how he paid twice what he owed on his taxes, wait for it.
But, we'll never hear of the money he gets to make up for it.

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

In other words, Democrats see the net worth in assets of America as a whole, what we'd have left over if we paid off current liabilities, and said "license to tax and spend more more more more!"

They're writing checks with your house. Your retirement pension. Your life savings.

They'll be back with the tax man to collect later to make good on it. To make the dollars they're printing worth something.

Until we're Zimbabwe.

Beamish, am suffering thru more of Obama (i hadn't heard most of the speech, either) on Medved's show and he said some magic words I'd like clarification on...

he spoke about how the rich need to pay more so kids don't leave Head Start, so we have Scholarships "from which I benefited.."

WHAT SCHOLARSHIP? He's been asked that over and over again and nobody seems to know how he got in or how he paid for Harvard. I thought that was a chance where the media could now get an answer for clarification, huh?

I just googled for a while and NOTHING...absolutely nothing solid but one of the sites said this ...(don't be drinking anything right now, you'll have a very wet keyboard)

"I have searched on Google and they only say he (OBama) attended and graduated from those schools. It is not addressed in his books.
lacedout. It is well known that Bush was a C student and an inheritance (his father is a Yale graduate)."

:-) WOW, so BUSH was a C Student and an INHERITANCE, ...THAT explains how Obama got into Harvard! :-)

What's this clown trying to demonstrate? Since we are spending an enormous amount of money we shouldn't demand progressive tax policy?

Man with this kind of "thought" it is clear we will be in deep sneakers for some time to come.

Who does he shill for? Heritage, Koch Bros>, Rand?

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

Shilling, Ducky?

"Of course, there will be those who disagree with my approach. Some will argue we shouldn’t even consider raising taxes, even if only on the wealthiest Americans. It’s just an article of faith for them. I say that at a time when the tax burden on the wealthy is at its lowest level in half a century, the most fortunate among us can afford to pay a little more. I don’t need another tax cut. Warren Buffett doesn’t need another tax cut. Not if we have to pay for it by making seniors pay more for Medicare. Or by cutting kids from Head Start. Or by taking away college scholarships that I wouldn’t be here without. That some of you wouldn’t be here without. And I believe that most wealthy Americans would agree with me. They want to give back to the country that’s done so much for them. Washington just hasn’t asked them to." - President Obizzle

Yeah, like this cracked out ghetto rich thug life 4evah bitch knows what "most wealthy Americans" want to do with their money if only the IRS would just threaten them with jail for it.

Admit it Ducky. Obama moved you to the right today.

Faith said...

You got it! Sounds like a reasonable interpretation to me. If no amount of taxation is going to make a dent in it the whole leftist agenda is falsified. You just going to deny and obfuscate and tough your way through the facts as usual?

Fortunately for me I was bowling and missed Obama's campaign speech. An escape, for 2 1/2 hours of normalcy.
I was spared the usual lies, and smoke and mirrors from our President.

Yes, and here's an example of what Beamish is addressing, from the Healthcare Act which is now law.

http://www.gop.gov/blog/10/04/08/obamacare-flatlines-obamacare-taxes-home

This goes into effect in 2013, conveniently after the 2012 election.

I figure it's the tip of the iceberg.

First, won't ANYBODY tell me the significance of BZZT? :-)

Also, we have no proof he went to Occi but I do believe there's proof he went to Harvuhd....after all, he DID write ONE PIECE for the Harvard Law Review when he was its Editor..HIGHLY unusual, by the way...most of them write, write, write. I wonder if Ayers wrote that piece for him, too.

Ducky..
SHILLING? While Obama shills for the Employees unions? Or that doesn't bother you.
I'm thinking all of you MARVELOUS liberals just cut checks twice the size of what you owe. What's stopping you guys who think everyone needs to pay more? GO FOR IT. My extra money goes to charities I PICK.

Pris, glad you caught that fabulous line of B's, too...I'm adding it to my blogroll.

Well,z, I'm sure you're concerned about that portion of the debt that we owe to each other. I'm not sure why you're having a cow since most of it is just going to go back into the economy as demand, it's not all bad.

We should be very worried about the current accounts deficit but that gets very little attention.

I'd listen to shills like Whittle if I felt he had a clue and was doing anything but encouraging more "free trade"(LMAO).

Hard times coming if we listen to the likes of this jerk. Hardest for folks like AOW, and I kind of hate myself when I get so perverse I hope people get what they are asking for.

Z said...

Ducky..you said "I kind of hate myself"

Welcome to the club (JUST KIDDING but who could let that pass?!)

By the way, believe it or not...you are NOT the only one with informed opinions.

What you said is as dumb (almost) as saying that cutting taxes hasn't helped bring money into the economy every single time.

As if religious and secular charities and friends and family wouldn't be there for people actually "harmed" if the burden of government mandated theft and redistibution for Social Security and Medicare was lifted from the productive.

What a small-minded fish bowl you live in Ducky.

I'm usually near dead ass broke. Even when I was unemployed I managed to come up with a few spare dollars to help people in need without a government middleman telling me to do so.

What is it about you leftists that craves someone giving you orders?

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

For someone who goes on and on about culture, Ducky sure has no clue about how to participate in one.

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

This is why I joke that people relying on government handouts should be filmed in their "misery" to enjoy with popcorn on YouTube when Social Security and Medicare go bye-bye.

For one, the shock of saying such an "outlandish" thing takes the sting out of the "grandma's gonna have to eat her dog, and then the dog food" left-wing scare tactics, and for two, I have greater faith in the decency of the American people, because I am one of them.
