Highly surprising Sunday Faith Blog

Students at a California continuation school are witnessing change on their campus -- all because of the Bible.

Buena Vista Continuation High School in Chino was formerly a magnet for harsh tensions among students where daily disruptions and fights broke out on campus. But when a small group of students introduced a Bible club two years ago, others began noticing a change. Fewer fights occurred as lives were altered by the Word.
James Na, president of the Chino Valley Unified School District, tells OneNewsNow that students have been accepting Christ on campus. "Since then, the conflicts among students have significantly decreased by maybe 90 percent," he shares. Meanwhile, the "attendance rate has risen to close to 96, 97 percent, [which is] unheard of in continuation high schools."

The club is now attended by more than ten percent of the students. and Na is pleased that the Bible is changing the lives of students and keeping them from heading down a troublesome path.
"The kids make their own choices, and if the choices they're making [are] right, and when their performances start showing that they're becoming a valuable citizen, we need to welcome that," the school district president contends. "It's changing their lives on campus; that's amazing."
Na hopes the class will continue to grow and spread to other schools in the Chino Valley Unified School District and beyond.*
"For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the corrections of discipline are the way to life."  Proverbs 6:23

Read the Scriptures to your kids.......and show them this video.

Anyone old enough to remember when prayer and the daily reading of the Scripture was taken out of schools can testify that it was shortly after that time that most of the discipline problems in schools began.

I became a Christian through a similar program while I was in high school. We met off campus for one hour a day with a local youth pastor (who is still one of my good friends).

I think this information was enormous and that any reasonable and honest journalist would run with this story, but it was a one-day deal and only local news. Imagine?
I wonder what might have happened had these amazing stats shown up after one of those weeks in California schools where they pretend they're muslim, read the koran, pray five times a day and eat halal? I tend to think the news would have been ALL OVER THAT.."Wow, check THIS OUT!"

meantime.......zilch.

While we rejoice at the good news, I suspect local authorities will move in on the Bible Club any moment now and arrest them for subversive activities against the state ...

Either that, or an athiest parent is planning a massive lawsuit ...

That was an awesome post and what an encouraging one to see the Word of God in action creating change.

Mustang, it's rather queer that they've come this far...maybe it's because the media's afraid of it?

Picture the headlines?

"School which allows bible class sees 90% improvement in the discipline of otherwise undisciplined, problem children. Atheists and secularists sue to stop Bible study"

geeez Let's hope that happens

Wow Z, what a powerful presentation! And listen to the response from the audience. Very moving.

Whoever may be against this laudatory effort, would have a hard time arguing against success.

Many of the kids who end up in continuation schools, come from broken homes, or worse. They need a safe haven.

Someplace they can go besides a gang, or to escape peer pressure, and know there is a way to find love and inner strength.

Where better than to find God, and share with others, a better way.

""For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the corrections of discipline are the way to life." Proverbs 6:23"

This says it all.

Fantastic news about the students!
I'd love to see this phenomenon spread.

All I can say to secularists is: imagine that.

"The U.S. government under Barack Obama is deeply committed to battling any belittlement, criticism, or questioning of Islam. (“I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States,” he said, “to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”)

At the same time, however, it is OK, in the Obama regime, for the U.S. government to burn Bibles. Yes, that’s right. Bibles were sent to U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan. But the U.S. government determined that the presence of Bibles in this “devoutly Muslim country” might inflame the natives. So they burned them. Why did they burn them? Because it is military policy to burn its trash.

So, the Bibles, according to U.S. policy, are trash, garbage, and it’s OK to burn them.

When it comes to the Koran, however, an official Department of Defense memo specifies a rather different procedure. Item 4, “Handling”:

Clean gloves will be put on in full view of the detainees prior to handling.
Two hands will be used at all times when handling the Koran in manner signaling respect and reverence. Care should be used so that the right hand is the primary one used to manipulate any part of the Koran due to the cultural association with the left hand. Handle the Koran as if it were a fragile piece of delicate art.
Isn’t that nice? Handle it “as if it were a fragile piece of delicate art.”

But burn the Bible because it is just part of your trash."

And so America as seen by the negative forces in this video keeps swirling down the toilet to oblivion. Because of the insanity of PC and our dedication to our constitution...that will kill us all, eventually.

And I'm sad to say that our troops who carried out these orders, didn't revolt and mutiny.

Major; Absolutely not. Did a comment disappear again?

I am so sorry; I've never had this happen to me at ANY blog and can't figure out what's going on.
Believe me, I'd tell you if I was deleting you and I AM NOT.
