Would that we could all learn to use this kind of linear logic to attack and solve our problems.
I remember reading about what the Marines did in the battle of Fallujah in the Iraq war.
If they had gone down each street, battling house to house, they stood to lose a lot of men because they would be easy targets for snipers waiting for them, hidden in the buildings.
Instead they just entered a building from the side by blowing out the walls, and doing the same on the inside of the building. They would blow out walls going from room to room. They made their own doors.

Bob, except after that toughness, our soldiers were knocking on doors saying they would be checking in a few days for bad guys, remember?
unbelievable.......
and then we told them they can't shoot into mosques because they're so 'holy' while the 'holiness' inside included killing our guys from within.
