Be sure to click on the link at the bottom to read the article.....hats off to Gov.Walker
… hope that this info gets seen by everyone …the news media won't touch it because they are supported by the left and the unions.
Now the TRUTH is starting to surface.
Remember the violent and disgusting demonstrations over Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker doing away with collective bargaining for teacher's unions? The results are in. Some school districts went from a $400,000 deficit to a $1,500,000 surplus as a result. Why?
It seems that the insurance company that provided all the "so-called" benefits to the teachers was an insurance company owned and operated by the teacher's union. Since the outfit was guaranteed to get the insurance business from the teachers, and the State had to pay for it (not the teachers) the insurance company was increasing annual costs every single year to become the most expensive insurance company in the state. Then the company was donating millions and millions of dollars to its favorite democrat politicians who, when they got elected, guaranteed to keep funding the union's outrageous costs. In other words, the insurance company was a "pass through" for Wisconsin taxpayer money directly to the democrat politicians.
Nice racket, and this is the racket that is going on in every single State that allows collective bargaining.
No wonder the States are taking it away. Now the State of Wisconsin is free to put the insurance contract out for bids and, lo and behold, they have saved so much money it has turned deficits into surplus amounts. As a result, none of the teachers had to be laid off, everyone got a raise, etc., etc., and the taxpayers of Wisconsin don't have to pay more taxes to fund the union's political ambitions.
If you weren't aware of the reasons Gov. Walker was fighting to take away collective bargaining, it gives you an idea of the problem the Republican Party has. Outside of one or two, none of them know how to speak up and explain properly what the problem was. We could sure use a Ronald Reagan now, someone who could explain things for people to understand, since we know that people don't like to read anymore.

Z, if there was a time for a man like Ronald Reagan it is now.
Evidently crony unionism is more prevalent in politics than crony capitalism...
I was not aware of this. Very interesting.
Unions are as greedy as corporations.
I would like to ask teachers one question: What is more important, your students or your union?
Gov. Walker deserves a medal for having resolve, and the guts to see this through.
He helped his state enormously, and showed what can be accomplished if one stands up for what he knows is right.
In doing so, he did his job, he kept his word and did what he knew was right.
Congratulations Gov. Walker, I hope your constituents reward you with their votes, you've earned them.
Walker has titanium you-know-whats. Hats off, indeed.
It all doesn't matter a hill of beans. The hate the unions and teacher unions especially... have for him will surpass all reason among the the dyed in the wool socialists, unionists and commies.
The man is a fiscally responsible republican that takes seriously his obligation to all the freaks of Wisconsin.
They'll never admit his plan has merits or was successful. It doesn't matter if he's proved that he can reduce costs and save jobs.
He's the enemy. He needs to be humiliated, destroyed and driven from office. Do you actually believe these anarchist, thieves and criminals will ever admit that they were wrong?
BTW...how many doctors were prosecuted for fraudulent prescriptions? How many were prosecuted to property damage....assault? How many teachers were fired for missing work illegally?
They don't give a rats ass for the "chilllllldren". None of them do.
But...they claim to. Don't you just love liberal commies and their 60 year long lie?
Oh....before I forget...how many of the traitorous, treasonous DEmRat "representatives" were fired or removed from office for fleeing Wisconsin to Indiana and defy their obligations to the people of Wisconsin that elected these cowards?
None....they're "heros" of the filthy left. Hero's of the tenured freaks in Madison...home of the most deranged hypocrites and frauds outside of San Francisco.
We had this in Michigan. The teacher's union owned an insurance company and they were charging double for premiums. Now that schools have more latitude to force a competitive bid, the teacher's insurance is cheaper.
Its just plain criminal.
Another liberal taxpayer-soaking scheme thwarted...
Governor Walker is a brave man who staked out a right but unpopular position and stood his ground.
Conservative politicians! Are you paying attention?
I'll tell you what; some of my commenters are THE smartest people around.
Thanks for being here and taking the time to chime in; it's good to hear your passion, your information, and your conclusions about this whole mess.
Pris, for many of them it's the UNION for it keeps them in a job which they have no ability to do or just don't care about doing. It's all about a paycheck. It is just not union teachers but union employees in all facets of government employment. I saw it for 34 years. Still seeing it today and it has gotten worse since the "ONE" has empowered the unions to a point to where they feel they are the power, not the people.
Where is BD and duhkkky?
Bd..just as amazing to us to see you don't get it. Did you know that 40% of union members vote Republican but their dues go to leftwing causes whether they like it or not?
I'm sure you find that just fine. And WE'RE "hoodwinked?" :=)
Various school districts in Wisconsin put out their health insurance bids at contract time.
WEA, which is referenced disparagingly in the pro-Walker, has picked up contracts elsewhere in the system ..since it is
a non-profit, it offers better deals in the long run (this year it
increased 3% compared to the 8% of
other insurers. So there is a bit of a bidding war with some well known loss leader tactics.
As for Walker's efficacy, he talks a good game; but his jobs
program has taken the state from
7.4% to 7.9% unemployment...
