Harry Reid is a Jerk and a Pea Brain

Looking out over the vast desert with a piece of straw hanging out of his mouth, a straw that he picked up at the local Cracker Barrel Restaurant, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid turned toward the journalist and said, “What we have here is a failure to communicate. When we democrats say that it’s time for transparency in government, we don’t mean Democrats —we mean Republicans.”

The young reporter asked, “So you think Romney needs to release his tax records and come clean about offshore bank accounts, but that same standard does not apply to Democrats?”

“Exactly,” Reid replied.

Well, this does make sense when you stop to think about it. And it does provide consistency within the progressive party framework. Well, almost. Clinton had to release all his records, Bush had to release all his … and Democrats are making the same demand of Gov. Romney, but Barack Obama hasn’t released his records —and won’t release them. And doesn’t care whether we like it or not.

As for offshore bank accounts, Reid is upset because preposterously wealthy Mitt Romney is getting away with … Oh, I don’t know … legal stuff? But here’s an interesting revelation: key senatorial democrats also have offshore bank accounts. Their names are Diane Feinstein (CA), Richard Blumenthal (CT), Frank Lautenberg (NJ), and John Kerry (MA). [Source] Why isn’t Harry Reid worried about those lawbreak … um, people?

And since we’re talking about preposterous wealth, because Harry Reid brought it up, here’s another interesting revelation: seven of the ten richest members of the United States Congress are Democrats.

1. Rep. Michael McCaul (R,) $294.21 Million
2. Rep. Darrell Issa (R) $220.40 Million
3. Sen. John Kerry (D) $193.07 Million
4. Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D) $81.63 Million
5. Sen. Mark Warner (D) $76.30 Million
6. Rep. Jared Polis (D) $65.91 Million
7. Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D) $55.07 Million
8. Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D) $52.93 Million
9. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D) $45.39 Million
10. Rep. Vern Buchanan (R) $44.39 Million

But wait, what happened to the Wicked Witch of the West? Cheer up; Nancy Pelosi remains one of the richest members of the House, which partly explains why she needed a luxury jet aircraft assigned to her during her tenure as Speaker of the House. Her net worth is $26.4 million. Part of that comes from the tax loopholes she created for her husband’s company, which also takes advantage of foreign labor and exceptions to the minimum wage law to avoid having to pay American workers what they’re worth.

There is only one thing less important than getting rid of Obama, and that is Reid.

Also ripe for investigation is how Michelle Obama got a new job and a 100% pay increase when Barack got elected to the US Senate.

Icing on the cake: She was hired by Chicago hospitals to craft solutions to keep Ghetto rabble out of the big hospitals.

Well, electing either of these bobos won't end it.

Our government is like the Red Sox. The only way to save it is to blow it up and rebuild.

Too bad the Dodgers wouldn't take Lackey. I would have thrown him in.

I agree with Sam, those are pretty vile and threatening words coming out of Ducky's bill... It just amazes me how Harry Reid keeps getting reelected, this man wouldn't know the truth if it bit him in the ass... Oh that's right, I forgot he's a pea brain... I just love it when he stands there and gives us such fatherly advice, and you can hardly see his butt cheeks moving, as we all know from where he speaks...

Mr. Lee said...

Yes indeed Harry Reid is a Pea Brain, but the real dangerous Pia Brain happens to be the Vice President of the United States of America. And what he said last week at that diverse gathering in Virginia, was inexcusable. You all know what I am referring to, I'm sure. When he used those inflammatory words to the black listeners in attendance. "They're gonna put y'all back in chains!" Pea-Brain Joe warned the crowd with a faux-southern dialect. Biden claims he was referencing republicans giving Wall Street cronies free reign or something.

No surprise, the Obama camp backed up Joe's inciteful and hateful words, demeaning not not only to blacks, but to ALL Americans. Barack Obama suggested we're taking Biden's words too literally. Put another way, Obama suggested, Joe said it but he didn't really mean it. Sorta like Obama's "You didn't build that" insulting comment to business owners.

Oh, you know, because we're all over-sensitive dolts, over-reacting to every little thing. What's a little slave reference among friends? They're gonna put y'all back in chains! Obama cleared that right up with this remark:

"The truth is that during the course of these campaigns, folks like to get obsessed with how something was phrased even if everybody personally understands that's not how it was meant. That's sort of the nature of modern campaigns and modern coverage of campaigns."

I call bullshit on that response! Your paygrade demands a bit more responsibility for what comes out of that piehole and your teen-like defense is unacceptable.

Mitt Romney gave a slap-in-the-mouth response, to Team Obama, IMHO: "Take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago."

Both Romney and Ryan declared that Biden's remark sinks the office of the presidency to yet another low. I couldn't agree more. But they also reminded us Team Obama will continue on this course as a means to distract voters from real issues. Divide and conquer, basically.

As disgusting and disheartening as Pea-Brained Joe's remarks are, their dirty campaigning really is par for the course of where we've come in America since November 2008. As painful as it seems, this evolution of racial acclamation is necessary for us as countrymen. We still acclamating to the racial discord of America's past and present. However, sooner rather than later the hat trick of race cards, is revealed for its repeated slight of hands.

Individuals on the left (or center, moderates, whatever) who continue in dismissing and defending Team Obama's reckless play on words see only what they want to see. Sure! The same can be said about us on the right. But if you're a thinking person consider this:

Joe Biden is nobody's homeboy. The Scranton native did not switch to a southern preacher's drawl to drive home any points about Wall Street cronies despite his claims. So when he says "put y'all back in chains" you should ask yourself why those words don't bother you. If you're still feeling dismissive about it all, alrighty then. Go back to sleep, I didn't mean to disturb you.

Many of us are awake. And I don't care what color any of us are. I don't think it's clever nor do I see any humor in using embarrassing and hateful terms and racially tense phrases to further your campaign. And as a black person who happens to be a Republican I'm not going to stand around pretending you didn't say and mean what you said, Joe.

And how quickly the liberals selectively forgot about Joe Biden's vile, hate-filled, “going to put y’all back in chains,” outrageous message.

But they are still filling their blogs with Sarah Palin nonsense, and still playing the Blame Bush game. .

Ducky is not a real American. He is a selfish puke; he loves his own worthless hide more than he loves his neighbors. He hates God. He ridicules those with ideas different from his own. He repudiates our founding principles; he seeks to replace them with Marxist ideology. Ducky—and people like Ducky, present a clear and present danger to a free America. Why? Because he would strip us of our Constitutional (inalienable) rights. He should go back to Russia.

I just came up with a substitute for Water boarding.

Probably acceptable to the demrat yellow spine loons too.

Put Pelosi, Reid and Wasserman-Schmutz / Putz into the same room and record some of their public statements and replay them over Gitmo loudspeakers all day long.

Release the "detainees" and they'll probably wipe each other out.

I'd like to see the link to your supposed 'young reporters' question to Reid. I'm just not believing this.
The issue is not that many take their money off shore. We know it's not illegal. It's the fact that Romney doesn't invest the money he made in this country-back in this country. But nice try at deflection.

And the fact that some of his investments will come back to haunt him, like the fact that he invested in a company that disposed of ABORTED FETUSES.

McCain saw 22 years of Romney's returns and didn't select him as a running mate. And when asked, he did not say Reid was a liar.

And by the way....Eric Cantor removed the provision in Louise Slaughter's (D) 'Stock Act'Bill preventing elected officials from benefiting from insider trading. Who are the crooks?

Talk about political Spin and Hairy reid.......

Judy Walkman, a professional genealogy researcher in southern California , was doing some personal work on her own family tree. She discovered that Senator Harry Reid's great-great uncle, Remus Reid, was hanged for horse stealing and train robbery in Montana in 1889. Both Judy and Harry Reid share this common ancestor.

The only known photograph of Remus shows him standing on the gallows in Montana territory:

On the back of the picture Judy obtained during her research is this inscription: 'Remus Reid, horse thief, sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1885, escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six times. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889.'

So Judy recently e-mailed Senator Harry Reid for information about their great-great uncle.

Harry Reid:

Believe it or not, Harry Reid's staff sent back the following biographical sketch for her genealogy research:

"Remus Reid was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory . His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Montana railroad. Beginning in 1883, he devoted several years of his life to government service, finally taking leave to resume his dealings with the railroad. In 1887, he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency. In 1889, Remus passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform upon which he was standing collapsed."

Now that's how it's done, Eh.

Mustang, I think that just might be legit because I've seen it before. Cool, huh?
Actually, I wish I DID have someone like Billy the Kid in my lineage.. I once told my dad, when I was about 10 and had watched a Cagney film on TV, that I wanted to be a GUN MOLL. Boy, did he give ME a look! :-)

Liberalmann, are you lefties THAT scared? You need to understand there are many huge corporations where smaller offshoots of companies aren't even known to the owners.
Remember, your jerk voted FOUR TIMES that babies who survived abortion attempts shouldn't be helped to live. Nice, huh? How disgusting.

By the way...Mustang doesn't need to link that, most people understand poetic license.

The real funny thing about Romney being "smeared" for his off-shore tax shelters in the Cayman Islands (these smears couldn't happen to a more deserving schmuck) is the bulk of it came from the left-leaning website Gawker, which operates from a shell company set up in the Cayman Islands.

Watching the far left eat each other (Romney vs Obama) is a panorama of absurdity, but still there's a sadness that no matter who wins the ballot-stuffing contest, we're still stuck with a leftist.

Avg...that's ok. I'm sure it's NOT true, but I still don't trust the liberal fact checkers, no matter what company it is.

You know, it's like those long letters we read that are supposedly in the WSJ, for example (WND often does this, sadly, which is why I don't put much credence in them, though they do get a lot right), and leftists discover THAT WASN'T IN THE WSJ.
The point is the letter is RIGHT, the letter's sentiment is what a lot of Americans feel, it draws correct conclusions. Who cares where it's FROM, right?
Even if it's completely hypothesis; the author is totally a fake name; the point is the piece is right.
WHy discount it because it's not printed where it's said to have been printed?
See my point? well, it's 3 AM here and I have a huge Tuesday ahead of me and maybe I shouldn't comment when I'm this tired and can't sleep!
It was Mr. Z's birthday Monday and weighed heavily on me.
