TRUMP....and the Birth Certificate's been found!!!? By the AP?

HERE is an article I found interesting......In blue italics are pieces from the article:

Republican activists in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina appear deeply intrigued by, and open to, a run by Donald Trump, the publicity-loving business tycoon and host of NBC's "The Apprentice," even as he perpetuates falsehoods about Obama's citizenship and questions the legitimacy of his presidency.

"Perpetuates falsehoods...."  Ya........show he's wrong.  HE wants to be wrong, according to him.  Yes, this birth certificate thing could all be a ploy to get attention for himself, but hasn't ONE of the journalists on Obama's side ever considered that Obama's spent nearly 2 MILLION bucks keeping his records slammed shut?  Shouldn't that be a sign of something, especially when we read the following line from the article?

Documents, including Obama's birth certificate, show he was born in Hawaii in 1961.

WOW!, right?  Then where IS it?   But, regarding Trump and his candidacy and the fact that he's never really been political and he's got a HUGE ego and we don't agree with all he says (that's for sure), there is THIS:

Several Republican activists said they don't care much about Obama's birthplace, but they're tired of waiting for the more establishment-backed challengers to challenge the president often and fiercely. For some, Trump fills that void.

BINGO.  It's a void that he's filling by CHALLENGING THE PRESIDENT OFTEN AND FIERCELY and not caring what the media says; by  telling George Stephanopoulos that George has been "co-opted by the Obama minions" when George tries to tell him the Certificate of Live Birth is just fine with the State Department.  Hey, if the AP is correct and the birth certificate WAS shown, why doesn't ol' Georgie mention that?  :-)   ...It's a void Trump's filling by telling Meredith Vieira he's proud to be a Tea Partier when she asked him about that with such disdain. That was classic.

Republicans are tired of the wimps who will probably end up being candidates, this is why so many are drawn to THE DONALD.....think what you will of Pawlenty, but who the heck would give a campaign of his money when most of the people in America have never heard of the guy and he has as much personality and charisma as wood?

And no, personality and charisma shouldn't matter but they DO.   How the heck do you think Obama got elected?

geeeeeeeeeeeez

I see you still attract the morons on the left... It's truly sad that they don't have anything better to do with their lives...

Well, bd...., you're right about the hair.
I wish I had the brains...I can see you do, too.

Born Again....more sad that they believe the hype. Or that they see where we are today and still blame Bush :-)

I still believe the Obama birth certificate thing is primarily the concern of Hillary Clinton voters.

As everyone knows, the left-wing in America is divided into two wings of the Democratic Party - the Ku Klux Klan wing and the Weather Underground wing.

Now, while both of these wings can and do come together to jointly pursue domestic and foriegn policy goals in support of the Democratic Party's founding principle of destroying the US Constitution with the deaths of as many American citizens as possible, they're still split by that nagging national socialist vs. international socialist divide, between black church bombers and Pentagon bombers.

Are there legitimate questions about Obama's citizenship? Sure there are. If his father was a British national and his mother not old enough to confer American citizenship under 1961 law, and his step father was Indonesian and Obama didn't repatriate on his 18th birthday, it doesn't matter where he was born, he's not an American.

But such an argument can't be made by people loyal to a party founded by anti-Federalist haters of the US Constitution. So it comes down to Klansmen neo-Nazis vs. Communists, fighting over skin color because abortion was illegal in 1961.

I'm tired of the "birther" issue, not because it lacks merit, but because it lacks people of merit pursuing it, Trump included.

I think a win in this little scenario with Trump is for him to stir up the pot a bit then step aside a let an adult run for President.

We usually agree Z (in fact we often post the same blog) but I think Trump is bad for the GOP. I think if he does this for too long he will turn into an embarrassment.

Would-be GOP candidates should learn from Trump - we are tired of people politely sidestepping the truth - we want someone who will confront Obama on his lies and inconsistancies and his far left agenda. No, Trump shouldn't be the guy to run - but the response to him and the reasons for it should be a lesson to those who do aspire to run. Some testicular fortitude is needed!

Chuck, I don't think he's really 'GOP' so I don't think it'll hurt them..but I also think they deserve some hurting :-)
When Rove is against him, I know he scares the insiders and that makes me happy, I have to admit.

Talkshow host Larry Elder spoke in LA recently and I went to see him; he was thinking of running here for senate and he had to fly to DC to talk to bigwig GOPers before deciding.......um..before THEY DECIDED HE COULD RUN.
He was so put off by the process that he said "No thanks"...even if they had said okay. What the..?
I hate that big MACHINE thing...especially now that the Tea Parties are raising money of their own for Conservatives and we might not need the GOP much longer.
Maybe I'm being naive........I don't know.

Janie LYnn well captures the gist of my points for this blog today; we need someone with the GUTS to speak out at Obama.
Trump would really annihilate Obama in a live debate...nobody else can. Maybe Christi, but Pawlenty? No.
Pence? No
Ryan? maybe
Gingrich...maybe
Romney? no way
they're all milk toast and we need someone LIKE TRUMP.

Beamish, if you don't think Trump's stirring the pot in a good way, I don't think you're listening, m'dear.

I politely disagree, Z.

Trump's not doing anything but grandstanding in the mainstream media's appetite for celebrity pablum and pushing legitimate discussion of real political issues off the radar.

The only one taking Trumps's candidacy less seriously than me is Donald Trump himself.

Z said...

beamish, you're welcome to disagree!
And I heartily disagree with you.
This is giving the horribly milk toast Republicans guts...hopefully. They, I'm probably wrong there because they think they still have to make everybody happy, not offend, etc etc...but we can hope.

Go ahead...run Pawlenty or Gingrich. See how far that gets us.

Z and Janie Lynn, I do admire him for his stones. The rest of the GOP could learn from him and grow a pair. The problem is that there is a right way to do it and a clownish way to do it and Trump is going the clownish way.

Z,

Can you tell me what Donald Trump's policies are on abortion? Crime? Education? The environment? Energy? Guns? Immigration? Nuclear weapons? Taxes? Terrorism? Trade?

Neither can I.

Why run Donald Trump? Is Donald Duck busy?

Igor, you related to Orly Taitz?

Darn, Beamish, I was going to answer you then you linked that thing.

Trump recently said he's totally pro life but had not been before.
He's totally pro gun
Crime? Education? The environment? Energy? Guns? Immigration? Nuclear weapons? Taxes? Terrorism? Trade?

I am quite sure I had no idea what Bush felt about most of this when I voted for him, either.

Beamish, I'm not doing this on my blog with you until the Iowa Caucuses, believe me. and I won't. I like Trump because he's angry and dislikes Obama and knows we're on the wrong path BIG TIME....whether he runs or not, only time will tell.

Have I EVER said I admire his viewpoints on any of those things you question? No.

Do I think we're in good shape as Americans beause a chump like Trump's the only guy I halfway like who could actually win? You've got to be kidding..of course not.

Ducky; had to delete you again.
No offense, but shut up or leave.
And don't mess with me when I have a cold and bad laryngitis and am scheduled to sing Thursday night :-)

Chuck, like I say, I'm not sure he isn't clownish but he MIGHT get the GOP weaklings to man up. He's worth it just for that. But, of course, I'm not holding my breath.

When ANY Politician wakes up and realizes that AMericans (even the lefties) want a president who says HE LOVES THIS COUNTRY AND WILL DEFEND IT AT ALL COSTS and WHEN AMERICANS REALIZE THEY'RE SUDDENLY BEING TOLD SUCCESS ISN'T FOR THEM SO DON'T STUDY TOO HARD AND DON'T WORK TOO HARD, and WHEN THEIR DOCTORS TELL THEM THEY CAN'T DO THE BEST FOR THEM ANYMORE (which my friend in the hospital heard a doctor in the hall say early just this morning to another patient, due to Medicare laws), THEY WILL WAKE UP AND VOTE FOR A REPUBLICAN.
I just hope that Republican has half what Trump has in confidence and surety and courage to not care WHAT the lefty media says about him/her.

except Palin.

You can take the quiz... I scored 100% because I made it.

Z said...

what do you mean you 'made it'?

I'm going to bed...see you tomorrow.

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

Before I went to the quiz making website and created the questions, the answers, and what it says to you when it scores it...

the quiz didn't exist.

All I can say to Donald is, Just keep the pressure on.

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

All I can say to that is "what pressure?"

If I were Barack Obama (imagine, if you can, me with left-wing politics and around 88 less IQ points) I'd be laughing my ass off everytime Donald Trump managed to get himself on TV to talk politics.

I absolutely guarantee that Obama feels no pressure from Trump whatsoever, and neither does any candidates with an actual shot at winning the GOP primaries.

Z said...

Right, Beamish...Obama feels less pressure from Trump than he does from Pawlenty or Hailey Barber, those bastions of charisma, brains and drive?
oh, ya..right.

Donald Trump has declared bankruptcy four times more than the average American.

Yeah, let's put him in charge of balancing budgets.
